I have one already, and bought this one as a gift for my sister. It works well, and in many configurations: in pocket, attached to hip, in wrist band, attached to bra strap. Battery lasts about two weeks. It can take one round in the washing machine, after that it gets less sensitive to movement. Rebooting it once in a while also helps sensitivity.

The Fitbit One works well as advertised. One of the more important functions for me is the sleep tracker. I found it inconvenient to remove it from its rubberized holder and insert it into a wristband before going to sleep and doing the same in reverse in the morning. If this doesn't bother you then it's a five star purchase. I have upgraded to the Fitbit Charge HR which is on my wrist 24 hours a day. Same great experience but less hassle and it records my heart rate, too.

I love how this product tracks everything for the steps, miles you walk but also tells when you're really active, as well as how many flights of stairs you've climbed. I use a cpap machine, so I also really appreciate how it tracks my sleep and gives me a very good idea of what my sleep patterns have been. I haven't set a food log online yet to really get the most out of the product experience, but I am really happy with the purchase. On a side note, I chose the fitbit one because I'm a big guy and didn't really know if the other (wrist band) would fit my wrist comfortably.) No regrets though great product and it shipped fast.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife. She likes it. We use it on walks together. It seems to overstate her mileage on known routes but I think we can learn to recalibrate it to her actual step length to improve the accuracy. It is a little hard to change it from the clip on holder to the wristband for the nighttime sleep monitoring but I think we will get better at using this feature. Great features for the price, but no GPS feature for very accurate mileage readings.

This is my third fitbit. First one fell out of the clip case and I lost it. The second one died when I forgot to take it off in the ocean. Hopefully, the third time is a charm, otherwise I may look into another activity tracker. I love that you don't have to have your phone to see how you are doing and you don't have to wear it in your wrist. Wish it was waterproof.

This is my third Fitbit product - each with improved functionality and readability. Very easy to use - easily clips to pocket flaps or bra or can simply be carried in a pocket. Silent (vibrating) alarms provide pleasant alternative to raucous morning wakeups, without unnecessarily rousing my spouse. Also useful for scheduling routine activities during the day. Battery life exceeds a week, even with 6 or more daily alarms running. Display is easy to read and the device is well-integrated with its PC and iPhone apps. App functionality allows easy sync with other devices and enable single site tracking of weight, blood pressure/pulse and diet. Not advertised as waterproof, but surviving the washer and wear in the rain seals the deal. All in all, an excellent buy for the money and fits my lifestyle well.

Bought one for myself (black) and burgundy one for my adult daughter. We both like this tracker a lot. It will automatically do light health tracking of steps, activity, stairs climbed, calories burned, calories left and sleep. You have to input information to track your water and food intake, and calories left. We like this tracker a lot.

I really wanted something that I could both carry easily and which at the same time would be discrete. This fits my requirements perfectly, allowing me to have it on me, but not necessarily on show all the time. Great for giving me indications of how I've been sleeping as well as general exercise and movement. Would highly recommend it to anyone!

Who knew such a miniscule device could tell you so much about yourself. My Fitbit One is terrific for keeping me on my toes -- and feet. Once I entered my vital statistics, such as height, weight, and length of stride, it tells me how many steps I take, miles I complete, and calories I burn each day. I've checked it against my old pedometer, and the results are quite close. The Fitbit is so small that it easily fits into the pocket of my sweatpants or shorts, and I can clip it on should I so desire. The device is read via little dongle on my computer, so it emails me a weekly progress report. If I wanted, I cold enter in the calories I consume each day, etc., but that's a bit too extreme for me. The Fitbit can also be programmed to monitor sleep patterns, but that seems unnecessary to me. In the main, the Fitbit is a constant motivator; you want to keep burning those calories so that at the end of the day you see how well you've done. The device even sends you little messages of cheer and encouragement. I've had mune for a month now, and really enjoy it.

I love my FitBit One. I wear it all the time. Has a secure clip. Seems to be pretty accurate (I have nothing to compare numbers too). The only thing that I cannot understand is why it will occasionally add a flight of stairs to my numbers. I love the "dashboard" application that stores and explains your numbers/goals. You do not have to pay anything to use this app, like some pedometers, unless you want the "extras". I tried the week try and didn't think I needed to by the Premiere addition. There are three things that will make this item perfect - being waterproof, using a standard mini-usb charger, and adding a heart rate monitor to it.

I bought a fitbit for my wife a few years ago and she really like it and how it tracked more than just steps. It also linked to the computer to log everything rather than trying to keep track yourself. Based on how well she liked hers I went ahead and got one for myself. The newer version of her model was packed with new features including the ability to sync via my iPhone. I also liked that it tracked my sleep quality. The app is fantastic and only gets better with every update they release. Having one app to track your exercise, food intake, water intake, your weight, and your sleep quality really is convenient rather than several apps to keep up with. I have had my Fit Bit One for over a year now and just purchased a replacement for my wife's original Fit Bit which just broke from roughly four years of use. The Fit Bit One seems much sturdier in construction and with the rubber clip holder for it, it is only more protected from abuse. My only real complaint is that I wish it were waterproof. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this fitness tracker and will continue using is until it breaks.

As noted before, this unit can quit working and there is a ton of info on how to re-sync,there is also a ton of info on how to restart Bluetooth. I spent several hours trying to reconnect(10hrs I believe) and my unit was defective . it quit working after 2 weeks of great ,accurate info. If you get a good one, its a great system and will make you do more walking than you do now. Also Best Buy was great and took it back and exchanged it without any problems.

I chose the Fitbit over other products like the Nike bracelet because I didn't want the item to be obvious that I was wearing it. I can attach this nearly anywhere, and it tracks my activity. I love the motivating messages, and how easy it is to use. It syncs effortlessly with my iPhone, and am very pleased with it!

I didn't want a watch. I wanted something I could hide when a plastic watch would not do. I attach this to my bra when I need to. Otherwise I wear it on my wrist with the enclosed sleep band....and I bought another, I use it so much. I am vying with myself to beat myself. Addictive. Revealing. Buy it. You will love it. Fabulous adult toy.

Love the flexibility of wearing on arm or clipped to my waist or bra. Accurate measurements as compared to my Garmin Vivosmart. Syncs easliy to the mobile app to check my progress. The mobile app also syncs up with my Weight Watchers app, giving me points for activity!

Received this as a Christmas present and did not expect it to impact my life. I walk for exercise daily and in good weather play a lot of golf where I also walk. The device is easy to use, holds it's charge for a number of days and comes with a program or app that lets you know how you are doing that day as well as totals for the week. Seems to be pretty accurate in my opinion. The app encourages you to complete the number of recommended steps and rewards you when you achieve or surpass that number. I wear it every day and look forward to surpassing the 10,000 steps. This little unit does more then I have described but counting my steps and translating them into mileage is the function I use the most.

This was my introduction to activity tracking, and I must admit, it has been nothing less than a stellar positive. I now track my food, weight, and sleep, with the activity that the device automatically tracks (steps, distance, calories, etc.). Perfect entry level device!
