A great alternative to wearing a fitness watch. I find it to be very accurate.

I wear my One all day every day and have no complaints regarding the way it functions. The silent vibrating alarm was a boon to have on our recent road trip, although I wished it could be changed without logging on to my computer. My only complaint is that the spring clip (which works quite well on a leather belt) is so strong it is a pain to attach to my running shorts and is ruining the elastic band of same.

This is my second Fitbit One - I lost my first after about 2 years. I tried the Jawbone Up and I have an Apple watch. I love this because of the display - I can look right at the device and I don't have to mess with an app to figure out my steps. I imagine I'd like the wristband with display (and would be less likely to lose it), but I'm not interested in wearing 2 devices on my wrists.

fitbit changed the dashboard, but it still keeps the basics...steps and weight loss. Be careful not to send it through the wash!!!

This little device helps keep me motivated, and lets me see trends and such with my activity levels. The pedometer is quite accurate throughout the day while being worn (clipped on my pocket towards the inside). I have however noticed that while picking it up to put it on in the morning, or moving it from the band for sleep tracking to the pocket clip, that I pick up a lot of extra steps. I don't see this as much of an issue though, because what I'm really looking at the big picture, the thousands of steps daily, so if its off by 20 or so from picking it up, putting it on, I'm ok with that. After being situated, it is amazingly accurate. I love that there is a simple app to sync with it on my phone. All together, I find that I park farther away from places I'm going, I take stairs more often, and other added "steps" to try to raise my previous daily bests or achievements, and that motivation is what I was looking for.

Overall, I'm fairly happy with the Fitbit One. I tried the Fitbit Force, but it didn't accurately track my steps; I believe that it's due to the arm wearing it must move or swing - when I'm walking my dog my leash hand usually doesn't move much. The One tracked the steps (attached to my bra) fairly accurate when compared to a basic pedometer. Due to living above sea level, I think it doesn't track the "stairs" as well as if I wasn't living in the mountains. I can not go up a single stair and usually by the end of a normal weekday, it shows at least 2-3 flights of stairs. The sleep function is tracked by movement, I tend to toss and turn, so I'm not sure how right that reading really is. The wrist band does take up a bit of room on my wrist - takes some getting used to wearing at night. It connects with My Fitness Pal for tracking of food, but I forget to do this most days. It does track water intake if you can put it in - I work in a place that I can't have my cell phone in the building, so by the time I get home, I've forgotten to input the info. Overall, I like the device - it's easy to read, shows you your daily progress with a digital flower that "grows." And the fact that I can clip it to the center of my bra and forget about it is a nice feature.

I love the FitBit. Using it to motivate me to get more exercise is fantastic, but honestly the most useful part of the tool is the calorie tracking and weight tracking on the Dashboard. It tells you exactly how much you need to eat and drink to reach your goals every day. It's a fantastic tool for anyone trying to lose weight and feel healthier. The only issue I've run into with it in the month I've used it, is that once in a while, if I clip it below the neck on my shirt (by the buttons on a polo shirt), it sometimes registers steps I haven't taken. I think this is happening when I drive in the car with the window open. I don't know if the air blowing in makes it bounce about and register off a bit. A simple solution is to take the unit off while I'm driving. Aside from that, it's a fantastic product. I've lost 22 pounds in a month of using it! I still have a ways to go, but its been a great motivational tool!

I love the new Fitbit One. I have been a Fitbit user for a couple of years because I was using a Fitbit Ultra before I bought the new One. Since I already had a Fitbit account online, the setup only took a couple of minutes to change my tracking from the old Ultra to the new One. I like the Fitbit One better than the Ultra because the One comes with a little case that grips my waistband securely, and it syncs perfectly with my Android phone so I don't have to boot up my computer like I did with the Ultra. I have my Fitbit account linked with my MyFitnessPal account, so when I log into MyFitnessPal, it will pull in my Fitbit activity and tell me how many extra calories I can eat. It's a great product.
