I have enjoyed using the FitBit Fitness Tracker for the last few months. It tracks my steps, flight of stairs taken, and my sleep. The readout is easy to view and the desktop software installed with no issues. The battery last for a lot longer than I thought it would, seems like 5-7 days. Charges in under an hour. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to track their physical activity.

Bought as a christmas present for my spouse and has motivated her to be challenged with daily activities. Helps her track the sleep patterns and checks daily to see if she went more steps than the day prior. Have not tried the other brands but this one works great. She likes the clip on versus the wrist wear for more concealment and does not interfere with other jewelry wearing.

I wear my FitBit One everyday! I love that it syncs with my computer then my phone so I can easily check my progress throughout the day. I went from having a 90% sedentary day ( 2.5+ hour commute each day, sitting at a desk for 9 hours and never taking a break) to finding myself WANTING to get up and walk the stairs whenever possible, going out of the way to any destination, and even parking further away just to get in more steps. If I don't get enough steps in during the day, I walk after getting home-something I never did before. For me, it is a big motivator - I love getting my 10,000 steps a day and are almost ready to bump up my goal to 11,000. I love the FitBit One and highly recommend to anyone that needs an extra push to fit in some sort of daily exercise. BUT...I think the FitBit Zip is also an excellent product without the sleep and stair climbing feature - also less expensive.

I've had my Fitbit One about a month and have really enjoyed the feedback I get from using it. The set up was quick, it holds a charge well and syncs easily with my iPhone so I can check my progress throughout the day. The only disappointing thing about using the One is that it revealed how sedentary I was before I got it! That was a wake up call for me. I think it is a good value for the price.

Fantastic Product -- what form factor is for you?

I bought both the One and the Flex, one for me and one for my wife. I had planned on keeping the Flex because I thought it would be easier to track sleep, a feature I really was interested in. As it turns out, my wife didn't want either (she didn't want to spend money on it -- not a gadget-head like me!) so I tried both to see which I preferred. Much to my surprise, I actually preferred the One. Both devices are great -- they each do a very good job tracking the stats they cover, and making it fun and easy to track food, exercise, calories etc. In the end, what drew me more to the One is that, once you clip it on, the device just disappears from your consciousness. Although the Flex was very comfortable, and often forgot I was wearing it, it seemed like a bigger commitment than I wanted to have to wear a bracelet 24/7/365, and there were times it bugged me to have it on. The Pros to the Flex of course are just that -- you put it on, leave it on, end of story. The One you have to remember to clip on, you have to take it out and put it in a wrist band to track sleep (more on that later), you can't wear it when you shower etc. And, being so light and small, it's easy to forget you have it on -- a bug or a feature, depending on how you look at it. To me, I remember to check it to see how my stats are, so I'm getting the motivating, but I like that it's not this physical presence constantly hovering on the edge of my awareness the way the Flex bracelet is. I also prefer the ability to check on the device actual stats such as Steps, Floors, Calories, Miles, rather than just getting a string of five lights to let you guesstimate how far to your step goal you are. I did find the buzzer alarm better on the Flex. Oddly enough, although it's a slight hassle to have to take the One out and put it in the sleep band at night, I actually find tracking sleep itself better with the One -- it's easier to toggle on and off on the One, which is accomplished by holding the button down until the clock flashes, than with the Flex, where sleep tracking is toggled on and off by tapping rapidly on the device until the lights flash in a particular pattern. I had problems each night I wore the Flex getting it to track, and ended up needing to enter the hours I slept manually. No such problem with the One. So, ultimately, each device is great at the tracking and motivating, but which form factor works best for you should drive which you choose.

I had a zip which finally died before I got the One. I like the ability to track sleep with the One that wasn't available with the Zip. I'm not sure it was worth an extra $40, though, since I have a free ap that does exactly the same thing (and the two are pretty close on their readings, too). I also don't like that you can't log sleep times on the device itself. It's a great tracker, though, and I like the ease of use of the dashboard, and the way it synchs with my phone.

I bought to track my sleep, I walk and talk in my sleep and I wanted to see what is would tell me. I have synced it with all the "fit" things online and I get free stuff, savings at different stores. If I don't hit 10000 steps a day I feel lost. It pushes me to get all the steps I can. Love this product! Chose this one to cause the wrist one would get on my nerves

This is a great gadget for tracking steps, calories burned, sleep habits, and it has a silent alarm! I love that I can wear it under my clothes so it's unobtrusive (as opposed to the bands you have to wear on your wrist all the time). I don't have to think about it to use it, but it absolutely makes me more cognizant of how active I am during the day. Syncs seamlessly via Bluetooth, and you can network with friends. The silent alarm works as a perfect accompaniment to my regular alarm. I have to charge the Fitbit about once a week, and one weekend when I didn't have my charger, I discovered when it was finally charged and synced, it had still recorded my sleep and the number of steps! Only glitch has been with the iPhone app--sometimes have to flip back and forth between days to see updated info. Definitely a great buy despite the price.

Charges easily, keeps track of steps and allows for input of many other items, e.g. food, other exercises, goals. Works well as either a personal motivator or join with others and get motivation from a friend or group of friends. It also tracks sleep and amount of restlessness during sleep. Helps me know better what is going on when I'm not awake.

I purchased this Fitbit as a gift for my spouse, who was interested in tracking sleeping habits and steps. We chose this model because wearing it on the wrist all day wasn't an option, so being able to carry it in a pocket or clip to shirt or pants was exactly what was needed. Tracks steps, calories burned, stairs climbed, activity and sleep habits. It syncs easily with an older iPhone or newer model and computers via a downloadable application. Comes with a wrist wrap for using at night to track sleep.

This is my second FitBit ONE. I had the first one for nearly 2 years and then I lost it. The ONE works well, tracking steps, flights and my sleep. I like the PhoneApp that allows me to document more than just the data from the ONE. I also have a SURGE and they work great together, allowing me to use one or the other and it sync the data between them.

After trying the fitbit flex, I returned it for the fitbit one which I found to be more accurate. I love the fitbit one and was able to sync it very easily to my computer and my iPhone. It also works with the app, My Fitness Pal which I use to track food. Love the Fitbit One

The Fitbit One is small and clips onto my t-shirt or underwear, and is out of sight. It monitors the number of steps and stairs that I take during the day. This lets you know how strenuous your day has been. The Fitbit program can be linked to a calorie recording program such as "My Fitness Pal" to provide a total picture of your daily health.

My wife and I are very happy with our fitbit ones, they have helped is to get into better shape, the display is very clear about what information you are seeing, and it is very easy to use and sync up with your phone. The battery life is also very good, usually lasting a couple of weeks between charges. The only issue that I have is the app for the iPhone, it is unreliable and very buggy. I'm sure they will fix the problems but it can be frustrating.

I didn't want a tracker that goes on my wrist since for business dress they are too casual & colorful. This Fitbit One is fantastic, very unobtrusive & clips securely to belt or pocket. Tracks very reliably & is very motivating to stay active everyday. I recommend this activity tracker especially if you don't want to wear one on your wrist.

I am thrilled with my FitBit One. It does everything they said it would. It is definitely the most reliable step tracker I have ever owned (and I have owned lots). I also love that it tracks my sleep. I haven't done a lot of inputting of the other information it will track for you, but guess that part would be very useful for some people.

The One is a really convenient way to track fitness. I like how I can just attach it to my shorts/pants and be able to see how many steps I have taken, miles I have walked/ran, calories burned, stairs taken, and more. The app for smartphones is also really nice - I can compete with friends and track more things very easily.

I tried the wrist wearable ones and they weren't accurate and didn't work well with the type of job I have. You can clip it in a pocket or pretty much anywhere. Love being able to see the steps when you don't have phone or computer available. The app is cool too you can challenge friends which makes you want to get up and go!!

This is a great item. It's reliable, hold a charge for about two weeks and has encouraged me to get my steps in everyday? It's easy to wear on my belt and syncs to my MAC and my IPhone. I really like this product.
