It's accurate and will display motivational/complimentary messages. I have tried just about every single type of pedometer, both wearables and clip on style. While the wearables were neat either the syncing was the issue or the wrist band would cause horrible irritation. This item has been awesome! I recommend it 100%

I love my fitbit. It is an excellent way to keep track of your movement throughout the day. It helps to keep me motivated!

We have had 2 of these. (one got chewed by the family pooch, so keep that as a warning.) :) Anyway, we tried other models in the interim, but the simplicity, convenience, ease-of-use and reliability for this product drove us back to purchasing the same version again. The newer models are more complex, finicky with features, adding more failure points. This Fitbit does everything we want, for basic, daily use.

Great tool for monitoring daily activities. This is a great incentive tool, I love checking my progress against other Fitbit owners. Because it also tracks sleep, I was able to get help from my Doctor. Buy it, you will love it. I have recommended this to a friend.

I find the Fitbit to be a great tool to motivate me to get off the couch and move. This is my second Fitbit as I lost the first one....make sure to actually attach it to your clothes and don't just carry it in your pocket. It seems to be accurate in tracking steps/stairs, etc. and the online tracking tools make it easy to see how you are doing.

While Fitbit is all the rage, I had the Fitbit wrist unit and it broke in less than a year, and I work it A LOT. Thought I'd try the belt one because I didn't want to be tied to a wrist item that wasn't functioning for a watch also .. doesn't feel like I'm getting accurate results and it isn't always convenient and when I travel if I don't have the charging dongle .. oops .. going to look at getting a tracker with a watch

Wonderful item, haven't taken it off other than to sleep, since purchasing it. I like that it gives you an update on a regular basis. Seems to be very accurate as far as distance/steps. While I haven't had an issue, I do see the occasional email message at work that "so-so has lost a fistbit, please come to the front desk to retrieve...etc"

Great tool syncs with map my walk and lose it. Reminds me to keep active. Even works in the gym on the treadmill. Seems to be a great help losing weight. Down 32 pounds so far. Darn thing only works if you walk or climb stairs, oh wait that's what I'm supposed to be doing. I just slip it in my pocket in the morning and it does all the work

I had bought a Nike Fuel Band & it broke within a week-they replaced it-I did that for 3 Bands & gave up!. Nike stood behind their product & refunded me my money. My son & daughter-in-law had each gotten a Fitbit 1 & loved it. I have to say I have had no trouble with it & really like the way it clips on to your clothes. Great product!!!

My first birthday gift and washed it by accident and still going. Now lost it. And purchased another one. I love it.

One of the best pedometers out on the market today. I've tried the Striiv Play, Withings Activity Tracker, and Fitbit Force, and always come back to using the Fitbit One for my walks around my neighborhood. I find that it stays in place on my hip, doesn't scratch my wrist, and battery life lasts a long time (almost 7 days to be exact).

I like this product. It tracks a lot of information. I purchased it as I wanted to know how much I am trekking during my recent Peru trip. The product did gave great information but not everything is accurate. I like the product for easy set up and great price. It is fun to use and does give some important information about the numbers.

I bought this Fitbit to monitor my activity. So far, it has done a great job! I have learned a great deal about my activities and sleep patterns. It has been very helpful and informative. It is also not cumbersome and can be hidden very discretely under my clothing.

This was a replacement unit for MOM. She couldn't live without one. She is 92 and finds it important to track her steps.

Really nice product, makes you want to get off your rear end. Its very accurate. The only issue I have with it is that it does not know that I burn more calories when on the tread mill at a 15% incline versus at 0%, but you can go into the web page and manually adjust for this. It would be nice if you could do it on the device itself.

I love my FitBit one. It was such a great investment. You cannot help but be motivated by the numbers. I love that it measures steps and flights of stairs. Sometimes the stairs are not as accurate, but for the most part, it is fine... I have and will continue to recommend the Fitbit One to everyone. I love it and never leave home without it.
