    Poor Design & Limited Warranty

Purchased as a Christmas Gift. The watch broke twice! The entire face of the watch came off without any physical damage. Mailed back and covered under warranty the first time. Second time was not covered under the limited time frame. Also does not sync well with phone. Messages etc.. are almost always delayed. It's missing a lot compared to your average apple/android watch. Not sure if I would ever purchase again due to the warranty.

Very Nice Fitbit Upgrade in Design

This is my 3rd FitBit that I have owned. My first was the Surge in 2015, then the first version of the Versa in 2018, and now with the Sense. The Sense is a beautiful watch with very easy to maneuver screens. The lone button is great as that was my complaint with the older watches (those tend to stick). But, the button is very easy to access and love all the features. A very nice watch focused on Health activities.

Great smart watch. Great battery life. Like the bigger screen, had the Charge 4 previously. It was great as well, but having all the extra features is nice. Much easier to see in the sunlight. No problems yet... : )

Metrics are fairly accurate. Though some of the features require extra calibration time even if you were wearing the watch before activating those features which can be annoying.

Avoid if Using an iPhone / iOS

I bought this for my fiancee as a gift as she likes the Fitbit app and her current tracker. She has been using the Alta HR for 3 years. Unfortunately, it took both of us all of 10 minutes after the initial setup to decide to return the Sense for a refund. She is using this with an iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 14. As of writing this (on launch day nonetheless), there is absolutely no way to reply to an iMessage/SMS message using the watch, either a pre-written reply or custom one. That "feature" is locked exclusively to Android, yet this is not mentioned anywhere on this product page. It will alert you of the incoming message, but that is all. You have the option to clear the notification from the watch, but anything further will have to be done on the phone. Incoming phone calls are displayed on the watch with a green "Answer" button and a red "Reject" button. Answering a call on the watch will just answer the call on your phone as if you did not have a watch. There is a mic, and speaker on this watch, yet neither are used for phone calls and there is no way to activate them once the call is answered. $30 "smartwatches" from China are able to be used as a (albeit poor) speakerphone on your wrist. No excuse for something costing $330. Scrolling through menus, and text on the screen is incredibly choppy. It has to be refreshing at 15-20Hz to get that (claimed) 6-day battery life but results in pretty poor user experience. For comparison, the average smartphone can refresh at 60Hz (some are double that now) in order to give you a fluid experience when scrolling, and watching video. The build is pretty solid though, and the haptics are pretty nice, although it is hard to go back to anything other than the Taptic Engine once you've lived with that for a couple of weeks. It seems like it would hold up over the years, so no complaints in the build quality department. Overall if you are an iPhone user, I would avoid this device at all costs until Fitbit figures out how to play nice with iOS. She is jumping ship for the Apple watch. It is $70 more than this, but at least it will be more useful than a notification screen with a choppy display.

Buyer Beware! Crystal cant be replaced

I purchased my Sense in November 2021 while on vacation due to my Versa3 getting wet and dying on me. I like the features and functions of the watch and app but the quality of the crystal is abysmal! I noticed my crystal was cracked last month and searched for a repair shop to replace it. Apparently no one does so I contacted Fitbit. Since the watch was out of warranty, they offered me a 35% discount to purchase another watch on their site. This excluded the new Sense 2 and Versa 4. Problem is that the original Sense and Versa 3 are not available on their site, so while a 35% discount sounds good, it is worthless. Looking through the Sense forums, this appears to be a common problem and many are unhappy with Fitbit customer service. To get less than a years use out of a watch that cost more than $200 is ridiculous. I don't abuse my watches and have been wearing one for over 60 years. This is the first time I have had a crystal crack in all those years and I can't pinpoint when it happened...just seemed to appear one day. One woman on the forum said that hers cracked while she was sleeping.
