Love the Device but needs changes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Fitbit a year ago. It has been very helpful with running. I love how the GPS tracks, the heart rate monitor, and how you can see text messages. To improve I'd suggest an easier and cheaper way to replace bands. I rarely wore mine all day. Usually just during exercising and 6 months in, the band started to break around the screws. I heard they fixed the issue but I'm not willing to cash in for a new band just to try my luck. I'd still recommend Fitbit I'd recommend a different model.

Fitbit surge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am happy with it. Not sure how they claim 7 day battery life... Maybe if I turn off pulse rate monitoring, but I'm having to plug it in every 4-5 days. Also, the sensors go nuts if you're on a motorcycle. Registers a whole bunch of steps and stairs climbed. I wish it included calendar and email notifications in addition to txt and call.

Great way to stay motivated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch to monitor how many steps I was burning throughout the course of the day. It can be very addicting! I've upped my goal several times since purchasing this watch. The design is sleek and it seems to very accurate (distance walked is always the same as what shows when I run on my treadmill). I'm very happy with this product

Great fitness tracker watch.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch for my girlfriend so she wouldn't have to wear her Polar equipment any more. She loves that it can trach her all day, and even her sleep patterns. Also, the app on her cell phone allows her to personalize which types of fitness she does for an even better idea of how she is performing relative to her fitness goals.

All the Functions I was Looking For
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tracker handles all the tracking that I hoped for including sleep. My only complaint would be battery time and having to charge it so much. It last a couple days, but then I have to sacrifice either sleep tracking to charge it at night or activity tracking to charge it during the day. Other than that, I have been pretty happy with it.

Buy some rice with this Fitbit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, let me say that the features of this watch are excellent for outdoor training, particularly for runners. However, I am currently on the fifth Fitbit Surge in a year as a result of product issues which have been replaced by Fitbit under the warranty period. The major issue is with moisture getting into the main compartment that then fogs-up the screen making it difficult to see. Today, my fifth one did the same thing the previous ones did, but unfortunately, was 1 month outside the 1 year warranty period. Upon contacting Fitbit, I was told "We apologize that your tracker is experiencing some condensation on the screen. We recommend you to put the Fitbit in a bowl of rice for 24 hours and then to get some sun. Unfortunately the tracker is no longer covered by Fitbit's limited warranty." I guess you may want to purchase some rice when you by this product.

Love my new Fitbit Surge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start off by saying the only reason I did no give this a 5-star review is the length of the strap. The size small would barely go around my wrist, so I bought the large and it's on the last hole. They need to make a size medium. What I like about this watch. I love the feel and texture of the wrist strap. It stays put on my wrist because of the matte finishing, and looks really sharp. I love that there is a backlight and it's easy to use, so in the middle of the night when I wake up, I can press a button and see the time. I love that you can set the clock display in various formats. I love the variety of exercises it gives you to track - you get 7 that you can choose from at any given time. I love the summary as soon as you finish your exercise. I really have fun with this watch and find that it's more motivating having it there on my wrist than clipped somewhere onto my clothing. Fun piece of technology.

FITTER WITH MY BIT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace a withings fitness band that I had received for Christmas. I love the FITbit HR. I like that I can see my heartrate at any time, this was the main reason I spent the extra money for the HR. If I had to say something negative, I would like to see some additional notification reminders, for example the withings would send you a notification to remind you to log your meals. I do like the Fitbit app to quickly track your water intake.

Great activity tracker!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fitbit Surge is a great way to track how active you are throughout the day. I love that it gives me my heart rate & steps. The sleep function is not as perfect, but gives you a good idea. if you want a product that gives you an idea of how active you are this is it!!!

Heart rate is mostly wrong
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most functions are reasonably accurate. That being said, the heart rate monitor is ridiculously inaccurate. My resting heart rate is around 54 to 59 while the Fitbit registers 80+. My rate is about 63 to 70 while moving leisurely, however the Fitbit shows me anywhere from 80 to 160. I've verified this at my doctors office and with other heart rate monitors ie, chest strap and pulse. I like the Fitbit but I'm disappointed in the heart rate monitor

Great fitness monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought Fitbit Surge for my husband who loves to monitor his workouts. He is not particularly technical but i gave him just a little help and he is loving it! He monitors his sleep, steps, & workouts. I think it is much easier for him to read this larger watch. we had it set to automatically sync but that really drained the battery quickly.

Good watch for serious runners

Great upgrade from a FitBit Force
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a fitbit force for 2 years and really liked it. I'd been weighing my options for an upgrade. Did I want an Apple Watch, FitBit Charge HR or Surge. I ultimately choose the Surge for it's smartphone capabilities and GPS features. I get everything I really need, without paying too much and being trapped into one ecosystem.

Happy so far with the Fitbit - Surge Fitness Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fitbit - Surge Fitness Watch (Large) - Black is a good fitness tracker / time keeping device. It's extremely accurate, has an easy to read face, and works exactly as specified. It is quite large on your wrist with a very sturdy band, and feels good there. The heart rate monitor is pretty accurate; but not 100%. It has to sit very tight against your skin for best results. Note: the price is quite high, however, I was able to use a best buy rebate, and some Best Buy reward points, and got a very good deal. Overall, if you can afford it, it's probably worth it. Also, if you are not a techie-type, bring it to the Best Buy Geek squad for assistance with setting it up. It is somewhat involved.

Great but large
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The item is quite useful for its purpose. However because I'm a very petite female the watch part gets caught on my clothing and is very bulky for my size. Making it not conducive to wearing it comfortably all day long. This item should be more appropriate for a male only. On me it makes me feel like I have a house arrest wristlet on.

Nice athletic watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GPS accuracy is good (matches my Garmin). Heart rate monitor appears to be accurate. Overall a great watch. Only downside is it is a bit bulky.

So far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the device for a few days now and so far so good. I'm most impressed with the continuous heart rate monitoring and the relatively small size, given how feature-packed it is. However I'm disappointed that Fitbit is only making the XL size available on their website, so you can only buy the S and L at BestBuy, and not the XL.

Great Watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little bit expensive but fun. Heart rate monitor seems to be accurate at rest and moderate work, but seems to significantly underestimate heart rate with high intensity work (compared to getting heart rate from feeling your pulse. GPS seems to be equally as effective as running with a cell phone or other GPS watches.

Love it (although it's bulky and not attractive)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with my Fitbit Surge. I needed some guidance to set it up, but it's worked great ever since. I wear it all day, but I don't sleep in it. The best aspects are the workout tracking, HR monitor, and Bluetooth sync with my phone. Despite the large screen, it's tough to read texts, but that's fine. It's not an attractive watch because it's bulky and I cannot switch out the band for another style or color. No big deal. It does what I need it to do. The only negative is that one of the buttons gets stuck on a regular basis. I think that's due to the fact that I wear it for workouts and I sweat a lot. I have to use a safety pin to "unstick" it, but it happens a lot.
