Excellent Fitness Tool

Would have gone for the chargeHR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it does what it says, the battery runs down quick even if you make sure the GPS function is off. Many times have to charge it at night so I can't get my sleep stats. It takes a while to recharge it. For the price and functionality, I would have gotten another Fitbit chargeHR.

Everyone needs one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been so amazing in my life helps bring your workouts and daily life together with ease such a simple system to operate i would recommend that they put a button on it for the light instead of having to touch the screen on the side easily would have been 5 stars otherwise

the king daddy of the fitbit family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the most expensive item on the fitbit family and by far the best, not only does it do everything that all the other fitbit items do this one has a gps and a touch screen interface that trumps all the others.

Gift for my wife
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. She uses it mainly for tracking hikes. HR seems to be ok, if positioned correctly on the wrist. Not sure yet about the sleep monitor. She says she thinks she is more awake that the monitor shows. Likes the large screen ... has taken the place of her previous watch. So far so good.

Works Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some reviews I was worried that it might not be accurate enough to replace my old timex speed and distance watch. The GPS accuracy seems to be spot on with my old watch and my iPhone runkeeper app. At any given time during by run the heart rate can be all over the place but the average recorded for the run seems to be about the same as the one my timex chest strap type recorded. Wear it continuously and no skin problems at all. My only complaint is it can't sync up with the health app and only shares one way with runkeeper. The music control is ok but you can only pause/start or skip to next song. Would love to be able to go back, adjust volume, etc. Really would like a stop watch function not tied to an activity strictly for timming.

Motivates me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fitbit Surge is a great motivator. It makes you want to climb that next flight of stairs or walk a little further. The downside is that it's bulky and catches on the cuffs of some of my shirts. It tends to get snagged in my bedsheets so I've given up using it at night.

Great for tracking run/walk distances/pace & HR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the FitBit Surge so I could design different distance runs and track my pace using the GPS. I am over 65 and like to monitor my heart rate as I run. The various exercise categories are a great help because I do yoga, lift weights, ride my bike and hike in the Metro Parks. All of which can be tracked right on the Surge. Two things I would change is to have the battery level displayed continuously. Also I do wish that the strap was removable which would make cleaning it easier.

Solid and Stylish
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read several reviews from different online sources. PCMAG's rating as the best fitness tracker convinced me to purchase. The heart rate function gives constant readings that are accurate. The band and tracker are bulkier than others however this gives it style. The screen is highly responsive but the Home button is "sticky" and requires several hard presses before responding. I only use my Surge to track my activities and exercise and I've noticed the battery can last 2-3 days before needing a charge. Fitbit doesn't sale a USB power adapter but per their site a certified UL USB power adapter can be used with the provided cable to charge Surge. My Surge charges increasingly faster when used with an Apple power adapter. Connecting Surge by USB to a computer can take over an hour to charge. I use my Surge with an Apple IPhone 6s Plus and the system works well.

Great tracking watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch I kept going back and forth between a apple watch and this watch the only resoan i didn't go apple is there battery life is not very good at all with the fitbit i can go 2-3 days with out charging and when I do charge plug it in get in the shower by time I'm done its full and ready to go. the couple of things I wish that were better some times the watch doesn't notify me when I get a text or a call and I wish the watch its self was a lower profile

Love the always on watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a fitbit flex and it was nice, but I found it cumbersome while trying to also wear a watch. I opted for the surge because I know people with the charge and you have to push a button to get the watch face to show. I needed a fitbit that could double as a watch and the surge us it. The band also has a classic watch clasp which works well for me as a farmer, I was always knocking off my flex with the little snap band.

Works well with my Fitbit One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already own the Fitbit One, but wanted to be able to track my heart rate. I had concerns about weather the data would be incorrect if I wore both products at once because I can't wear a watch at work but like wearing it before and after, but have to but my One on as well or I forget it.. It's been great no issues. So great addition! Get the large size though. I bought the small first and have no idea whose wrist it fits except possibly a toddler, and I'm not joking

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really love the fitbit charge. It is great being able to see your progress and stats on your wrist anytime without having to sync with computer or phone app. A bit cumbersome to wear at first for sleeping but got used to it. GPS is also great but drains the battery quicker.

Good watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrade from lost jawbone. Functioned as described. Strap broke and I'm waiting for a replacement as it is within three months. Battery life suffers when tracking heart rate constantly. Accurate for running. Be sure to clean watch daily or you will have skin irritation

Excellent fitness watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fitbit Surge is a comfortable, durable and stylish-looking sports watch. Syncs seamlessly to the Fitbit app (mine runs in iOS 8.x). Picks up GPS signal quickly in open areas, a little longer on city streets. HRM works great. Links Run and Cycling activities to Strava app after linking the two accounts online. Easy to update goals in the app and the Surge will notify you when you've reached them. Overall, a great device to help reach your fitness goals.

Great health moniter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Christmas gift, so not a lot of time with it, but initial quality and operation has been perfect. Using a Motarolla Droid Turbo and have had no issues with connectivity. 4 stars only due to battery life. Dial back all the options to maximize time between charges.

Amazing product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Fitbit is amazing. It keeps track of everything for me, All I have to do is wear it. It is incredible how accurate it is. I am able to keep track of health concerns now that I couldn't before and have detailed charts and graphs that show it all to me in real time 24/7. This watch is AWESOME!!!

Love this watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a couple of things I would change but overall the watch has been everything advertised. The instructions indicate the watch should be two finger widths away from the wrist bone but I have found this difficult to achieve given the size of the band. It has not seemed to have any real disadvantage in reported results however. Good watch and fun to operate.

Great Workout Tool!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been wearing the fitbit flex for a little over a year, but wanted something that could track my work outs a little more accurately. This thing has been great! I love the heart rate monitor, and the GPS Tracking. One of the best new features, is that I can switch between the flex and the Surge, and it will sync and recognize which one I am wearing. This is great for when I am at work and would rather wear a dress watch, instead of an active watch.
