I really like this fitness watch. I've not had any issues with it and it seems to register my steps, heart rate, etc accurately. The ability to see who is calling and to read a text messages are a great bonus.

Some of the options like the texts I've turned off because it can get annoying like any tech that has texting if you get a chain of them. You do need to take it off every so often and clean the band or you'll get a rash, just like the care instructions warn. The only surprising annoyance for the watch is that it catches on my button down shirt sleeves. Overall, very useful and would recommend to anyone that uses Fitbit products.

I love my FitBit Surge! It's easy to use, even though it's big it's not overall uncomfortable. I love the GPS function and is perfect for my bicycle riding. If you're in the market for one, I recommend this.

I gave it to my husband for Christmas and he loves it! It connects to his phone and it also connects to his fitness app to track his calories and how much he calories he burns by just walking. I want one now.

This product is great at keeping me motivated. I enjoy access to stats such as steps, floors climbed, heartbeat, distance, calories and being able to use app with Surge is great because it allows me to enter my food and water intake as well as enter goals for weight loss. I also bought a fitbit wifi scale for more stats. It just motivates even though it is not an exact science I am reminded I've got to move. And my friends with fitbit keep me moving towards worthy goals. Things to improve on... Not the most comfortable to wear but I got used to it. An Internet connection is required as well as Bluetooth, which made me very unhappy during travel. So when traveling I could not sync to my phone without Internet to better enjoy my stats.

I bought the Fitbit Surge for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! Not only does it track activity and heart rate, but it syncs with his phone for text messages and he gets notifications of phone calls.

Great watch for runners, racers and athletes. Have used it in all forms of competitions from Spartain races to casual running the gps works great for tracking distance. Only issue I have had is the band eventually broke however protection plan replaced watch with 0 hassle.

Syncs well with my /surface Pro 3. Sleep activity could be improved - generally good with amount of time in bed and restless index, however would like to see app improved to show REM sleep. I bike in my neighborhood and bought to track my time, distance and intensity - seems to do a very good job with this. Seems to overstate the number of steps per day - used a pedometer to check over a weeks time and Fitbit was always high.

I wear my Fitbit Surge every day. My life and I both have Fitbits and enjoy having friendly competition to see who has the most steps, burns the most calories, etc. Fitbit is a great fitness tool for us.

The watch is a little bigger than I would have liked but after just a couple of days I got used to it. My wife and brother also bought a Surge and it really helps to keep us all motivated with the challenges.

I upgraded to the Surge from the Fitbit Flex. I couldn't be happier with the new watch. It seems to track everything accurately and is a great way to check my heart rate throughout the day and during workouts.

I bought this after using Ups for a year. I wanted the watch features because I did not want to wear two items. The basic features work fine. It is rather large but the text messages are somewhat hard to read. I think I would have been better off with the smaller version without the phone connectios. Also the sleep mode is not as detailed as the Ups band.

Fitbit Surge - a great fitness watch

I was a little reluctant to purchase this watch based on reviews of problematic heat rate monitoring. I am pleased to report that once I made an effort to tighten the band prior to starting a cardio workout I found the Fitbit was within a beat or two of the monitor on various machines I used. The Fitbit will take longer to adjust to variations in heart rate but it will catch up rather quickly. I also am pleased with the gps tracking. I was disappointed that you can't export gps data from the Fitbit website directly. However I did find a website that will allow you to export the Fitbit tack and convert it to GPX format so you can then input your run/walk into popular trackers (Mapmyrun etc.). Overall I am pleased with this tracker.

I had been using fitbit flex for almost 3 years before I bought Surge so for me this is certainly a great update. I am happy with additional tracking I got with Surge but connectivity with phone is also key for me and I found Surge not so effective. There is certainly much to be done on notification. Overall I am happy with the product.

I love my Surge and it's the best fitness tracker you can ask for. 24hours automatic heart monitoring is the best. It tracks your sleep cycle n activities as well. A fitness tracker n a watch all in one.

After my charge hr died I decided to upgrade. At my job I can't use my phone, but with the surge I can still read my texts. The gps is a bonus and seems to keep my steps more accurate than the charge hr.
