    Compared to the charge 2

I had the charge 2 before upgrading and honestly I love the surge but one thing that annoyed me was that there is no breathing control on the surge when there was one on the charge 2. Oh and I haven't found any band upgrades like the charge 2 has so that's a bummer.

Product works great! Many useful features in a stylish, comfortable fitness tracker/watch. Fitbit also has great customer support. The HR monitor is a gem! Helps me keep track of panic attacks and therefore I can relay information back to the doctor. Love this product!

no frills display, ok GPS coverage, sync issues

GPS not always accurate when compared to the phone app Disappointed in the display and bought this months prior to the release of the cheaper, more visually appealing and more functional Blaze. Lastly had problem with syncing log runs between the device and the app. Had to get replacement Surge from Fitbit which improved the problem 80% (still had sync issues with log runs over 11 miles). In restrospect, I would not purchase this again.

Upgraded from Charge HR due to more functions!

Let me address the pros and the cons of this device since I like you researched all of these and actually upgraded twice to this one. I bought the Charge HR device about a week and half ago and loved it, however I did notice it lacked a few options I wanted it to have over this one. Granted this device is large and for some I agree, a bit bulky with a large face and larger band. If you are thinking it wont fit under a shirt sleeve or a coat, I wear dress shirts 5 days a week for work and it fits fine under a sleeve and is not protruding. Pros: Large face, easy to read, backlight and touchscreen with call and text notifications (note: the Charge did not have both, just call and the screen was too small to read). I have not tried the music functionality but sounds like and added bonus. Heart rate function works just like the Charge HR with a light and seems pretty accurate. I like the fact I can choose a watch face from a selection of styles and this is pretty low profile on the arm seeing it is flatter. GPS functionality is also a cool piece to have. Easy to set up within 5 minutes ready to go. Price was okay. I feel like this should be about $50 cheaper based on functions. Cons: This is larger than any other Fitbit device and is bulkier. Not sure I needed a second watch seeing I have a Rolex on the other wrist, but I did not buy this for the watch functionality. As with the two other Fitbit devices I owned, not sure the Calories burned is accurate seeing there is no way I am burning 3000 calories for 2000 steps walked. Sleep tracker is okay but after a while, not sure I pay attention anymore. I did upgrade the dashboard on the Fitbit site and using Premium which is a sleeker Dashboard. Conclusion: Worth the purchase so far. I feel like Charge HR was not enough functions for my needs so we will see how this one pans out. I would recommend to anyone searching for a combo smart watch/fitness tracker. Beats out other devices I researched.

Order this online for my son for his birthday and picked it up in the store. Always greeted by friendly people at the San Luis Obispo store. My son uses this every day has it link to his information and absolutely loves it! Best gift I could have got for him.

I absolutely love my new fitbit. It has made me want to train all day everyday. I find myself wearing it all the time, even to work. Besides being an exercise piece, the fitbit is extremely sexy.. if you don't have one, your next purchase should be a fitbit. Product A+

I have CHF & recently went though a stay in the hospital. The Fitbit line of products gather the data for me to use with an app my Dr. Uses, I can be monitored from home & not have to stay hospitalized. A+++

Band is too small for a large wrist. Had it on the last hole and was not comfortable. Will wait for the Apple to come down in price and next gen.

The only reason I rated this item as good, not great is the Dashboard can be a little tricky when it comes to recording food and calories.
