I was a user and owner of the Microsoft Band 2. It was truly a GREAT fitness band. Because Microsoft decided to discontinue this great product, I began searching for a new, supported fitness tracker. After scouring the internet, reading reviews online and watching review videos on Youtube, I decided on the Fitbit Surge. While I would love to go back to my Microsoft Band 2 if Microsoft ever decided to continue the line, I also knew that Fitbit is the gold standard. First, let me say that I decided on the surge over the Blaze because the Surge was GPS enabled. I was disappointed with the surge as soon as I took it out the box. The Monochrome display was so dim I could barely read it. Also, mine wouldn't swipe. I read online how to troubleshoot the problem and fixed it by holding down the left and bottom right buttons. However, I didn't find the watch easy to use and again, hard to see. Also, as I had read on other 1-star reviews, I'm pretty sure I already saw the (irreplaceable) band separating from the mechanical part of the device. I returned the product very quickly.

Works great as described. Only complaint would be battery life, but that is to be expected with any of these devices.

Gps does not work as well in the mountains as the garmin's.

Watch is not compatible with older android processors. Don't get all the benefits with any Android under 4.4. The website doesn't say there is a limit on OM.

I got this unit for my birthday and have been using it now for nearly a month. Excellent quality, great capabilities for exercise, stair climbing, hiking and tracks your rest. I highly recommend.

The heart monitor is way off so I don't rely on that. Steps and stairs seems close. I really like the GPS

Its a good watch the only thing is that it loses battery kind of fast unlike my garmin which lasted me weeks
