    Poor tracking for mileage walked.

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Very disappointing. Had an old Garmin which broke down and it kept much better track of miles walked. When compared to the Garmin, it undercounts my mileage by 17%. Have also checked it against Strava (on my phone app using GPS). It is undercounted by the approximately the same amount. So, I basically bought a watch with supposed GPS capability which can not accurately count how far I'm walking.

    Do NOT buy a FITBIT

    Posted .

I bought a Fitbit to track distance on my walks. The Versa 4 does not accurately do that. I was told by support that it is a "known issue". Well, that does me no good. In addition, the screen often did not respond to touch. It would not receive text notification or phone calls. Support sent me a refurbished Fitbit. I paid full price for a defective product, it should have been replaced with a new product. It still doesn't track distance accurately or receive texts or phone calls. I have had various Fitbit products over the years but this will be my last. #fitbitistrash #donotbuyfitbit #versa4istrash #fitbitsucks #fitbitversa4sucks #fitbit #fitbitversa4 #versa4 #FitbitByGoogle #fitbitbygooglesucks

The watch is very comfortable given its size and it is more advanced then the last model. However it still is very laggy and has a slow response time. For the price you might as well get a samsung watch.

Returned as it would not stay synced with my iPhone 13. Even firbit couldn't figure it out after 5 attempts and 2 watches.

    Not water resistant

I wasn’t going to write this review because I did not mean to wear my watch in the pool but forgot to take it off. Watch was literally in the water for 10 seconds and completely shut off. Tempted to get the water out and let it dry out, still would not turn on. As I was looking at the back of the watch, it says it’s up to 50 meters while swimming. Don’t believe it.

Hey there, Ryan. Sorry your experience swimming with the Versa 4 wasn’t the best. They're designed to be swim proof and stand up to even the sweatiest of workouts. However, water resistance may diminish over time and can be negatively impacted by exposure to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, sunscreen, and dropping. We’d be happy to investigate and get your device up and running again — reach out to us when you have a second: https://support.google.com/fitbit/gethelp?hl=en

Had the watch for about a month and it stopped working. Searched online to find potential fixes. Tried them all and no change. Fit Bit customer service took a really long time to respond and made it very difficult to connect and figure out a solution. Still not resolved!

    Only Good for 1 Year!!!!

I bought this just over a year ago January 2023, and now suddenly it won't hold a charge. It charges to 100% and when I remove it from the charger it cuts off and won't come back on. I contacted Fitbit support and they emailed me back to tell me because it is out of the warranty window and they won't replace it but want to give me 35% off on a new Fitbit product. REALLY????? I mean, stand behind your product. It should last longer than a year!!! And why would I want to buy another Fitbit product if it is only going to last a year. I have read other reviews or blogs with others having the same issue and getting the same response!!! Over $200 down the drain. I could have paid a little more and gotten an Apple Watch that Apple stands behind.

Overall a nice smartwatch. It fit well and felt comfortable on my wrist. However, I was updating from my Versa Lite and lost 3 features that I used frequently. Called Fitbit and was told that those features are no longer available so I returned the Versa 4 and am now back to my Lite.

    Terrible customer service

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I had a Versa 4 that was purchased in December of 2022. Fast forward to January 2024, just one month past the warranty expiring the watch has a software catastrophic failure. It is not damaged it is just in a continuous reboot. I contacted Fitbit and they told me I am SOL because it is past the 1 year warranty. They did not care and offered me a 30% off discount code to buy a new fitbit from their website. I fought with them but they ultimately would not help me and swap it, even with a refurbished watch... I have used fitbit for YEARS but will never again. Don't buy as their warranty and customer service are garbage, go with Samsung or Apple.

This is my 4th fitbit over the years

I just got this versa 4 because my versa 2 stopped text messages. Yes I tried everything for hours and even followed you tube videos, still wont get text. Ive turned off Bluetooth, forget this device, shut down, updated versa right out of box, phone is updated, of course notifications are all on. Every Fitbit trouble shoot I DID. This happened with my first versa as well, so I bought the next versa 2. The first one did send text for a bit then stopped. Then after having Versa 2 the text stopped again, now versa 4 & nothing at all cant even get it to work. Im starting to think its only a feature for android and they let you think its for both. Alot of complaints about notifications I’ve read its so disappointing, Its probably going back.

    Don't Buy

The Versa 4 is a good smartwatch but Google does not listen to what users/customers want/need in a fitness watch. They've just eliminated the WebUI dashboard and forced the use of the phone app dashboard which makes the watch very difficult to interact with to get and input the data needed, especially for older users. It really limits the usefulness of a fitness smartwatch

I have had my Versa 4 since June 2023, it randomly dies without warning. Battery life sucks. Time and date is wrong a lot. Won’t sync with app on my phone some times, have had to delete app and re-add app several times and the try to sync. It is a piece of crap. I had a Versa 2 for several years and never had these issues with it. I have pulled it back out and wearing it again. Contacted Fitbit customer service and they were no help. Not the charger for it is missing one of the pins so I can’t even charge it (4)

It does not seem to work as well as my old FitBit. There have been times, it does not track my sleep. I find it more difficult to find/use apps on this one than my previous FitBit.

Beware! No 3rd party apps anymore!

So disappointed that 3rd party apps are gone. I bought without researching much, as I assumed the Versa 4 would have everything my old Versa does... stupid mistake on my part. Fitbit has totally nerfed the new watches. There are only 9 factory apps, that's it. This Versa 4 is getting returned, and I'm switching brands.
