After 3 weeks with this Fitbit, the heart rate sensor started not working properly. So, will definitely not be purchasing again.

Purchased the fitbit versa to replace a malfunctioning charge 2 that only lasted a year. After 2 weeks the versa power button quit responding. Called fitbit was told that the versa was defective. Do NOT BUY!! I had fitbit for 4 years now and it appears that quality as greatly decreased.

I got this smart watch when it was a hot item, but it only last me a couple of months. It stopped synchronizing with my phone, I tried EVERYTHING and never worked, so disappointed having a $200 just digital watch. I never tried to contact the manufacturer and now it has a year or more siting in his box brand new. Besides you cannot make calls with it.

Fitbit was not accurate for steps or stairs climbed. Left it on the charger one morning and when I took it off the charger later that day, it said I had 36,000 steps. Does not record flights of stairs correctly. My job requires me to walk many flights of stairs but the Fitbit did not record even close to the flights I climbed.

If you think, "Hey, I have a Google Pixel brand phone, this will be great for me", think again...The Pixel 3A and 3A XL do not work. The phones have all the necessary software/hardware to use the device, but the sub Pixel models aren't on the list of supported devices. It may sync for awhile, but as soon as Fitbit or your phone updates, the device will no longer sync.

    It's pretty great

Top line: It's a great device. It's a smart watch that doesn't reach to try to be something it's not designed to be. It nails the fitness aspect by boasting accurate optical HR readings for all activities I've tried so far, and also allows users to customize what notifications they want to receive from their Versa. It'll work with Google Maps, messaging, Etrade, NY Times, and a whole lot more. And the FitBit app is second to none in the fitness space... Note: FitBiot did have a small fumble with the App Store crashing the first week of launch, which was a frustrating experience. Now that this functionality has been restored, and the software on the device is running as it should with updates, all is well and stable. The really good: The battery, the looks, the onboard memory for music, the touch sensitivity, the HR accuracy. It also has a low-profile elevation off the wrist with the new HR sensor (no real bump). The less good (but still good/fine): FitBit pay is only supported by some banks. I'm sure this will come in time. The Versa lacks GPS. For some hardcore runners or cyclists, this may be a deal-breaker. But for me, I am fine with sidestepping this feature. Most other mid-range fitness watches lack onboard music, so that'll leave you brining your phone anyway (or a music device). I'm fine having the Versa estimate my distance when I want to leave the phone behind, but I'm good also bringing the phone with for most activities. What really matters is HR accuracy, and I've found the measurements to be very good with the new FitBit HR sensor integrated. All of that said, my consideration set was as follows: Garmin Vivosport, Garmin Vivoactive 3, Apple Watch Series 2/3, FitBit Ionic. I think the Versa is the best blend of aesthetics, functionality, smart watch appeal, and app ecosystem. I'm a happy dude.

Purchased this in September 2019-never really held a charge -had to recharge it overnight after work. April put it on charge for the night-next morning won't do anything. Just lights up with the fitbit screen won't change and within an hr battery back to zero. Bringing it in to Geek Squad hoping they can help and I'm not stuck with a $200 lemon.
