I have learned that the Versa is a one-time-use piece of tech. I bought the watch a few months ago and my screen cracked while I was mowing my lawn jus the other week. MOWING THE LAWN... I reached out to Fitbit only for them to offer me 25% off a new Fitbit. Seriously, Fitbit? I also learned that there are no resources to repair the cracked screen despite a handful of videos on YouTube showing that the screen can be safely removed and replaced. This leaves me with a pretty bitter taste and disdain for the Fitbit brand.

I owned one of these before and absolutely loved it, so much so that I decided to get another one. I love the large print, the fitbit app, ease of use etc. BUT this one is defective and the return process through fitbit is horrible. The battery does not hold a charge. I don't use any of the special apps or notifications and still it doesn't hold a charge. I've been without an accurately working fitbit for weeks and they're still trying to test my battery... I'm done and switching to another brand!

    Band Gives Me a Rash

The band has given me a rash around my wrist. I like the tracker other than that fact. I don't wear it too tight and they suggest taking the tracker off to get rid of the rash, which I do but as soon as I put it back on the rash comes back. And what is the point of having a tracker if you can't wear it.

Do not buy unless you just need fitness tracker

Why not to buy. 1. Notifications doesn’t come on screen automatically, you need to press button, tap twice(hard) or shake/turn wrist(extremely hard). 2. Heart rate monitor doesn’t turns off completely. Even if you tun it off green light turns on as soon as you put versa on. 3. With screen always on feature (available on some faces) battery barely last a day. 4. When you change watch face all previous settings resets and if you decide to go back to previous watch face same story. 5. Support wasn’t really helpful. Why buy 1. Pebble like design 2. Good fitness tracker 3. Fairly accurate sleep tracker 4. Water proof 50m Over all this is not smart watch. If Fitbit want to sell it as mart watch major upgrades needed, don’t know what was they thinking when they decided to sell half developed product. Now I am back with google wear. Disclosure: I bought one versa from best buy another from fitbit directly with discount as previous pebble user

    Both quit working!

Save your money! Total junk. We thought we were upgrading from the Alta to the Versa, but we had to replace first one because the screen was sliding back and forth on it’s own and was unresponsive. Fitbit sent a replacement under warranty, but the replacement QUIT WORKING! Now we have a $200 paperweight. Their customer service was nice enough, but niceties do not cover up the fact their product is junk, and the nicest folks can’t cover that up. We won’t buy another one.

I am VERY disappointed with the Versa. It does not deliver what it claims. First, at one point, my Versa randomly stopped receiving notifications. When I contacted support, they were aware that there were Versas that were not receiving notifications, but had no understanding why. They could not offer me a replacement because they could not assure me the replacement would receive notifications. Then the heart rate monitor stopped working, the touch screen stopped working and then the watch stopped working all together. Only at this point did they offer a replacement. I asked for a full refund because they still could not assure me the replacement would receive notifications. Fitbit refused. Terrible product with terrible customer service.

Best Buy, I am so disappointed in you for selling such junk in your store as Fitbit. I should have known it was junk when you wouldn't even sell me your warranty with it. You knew when you sold it that it was junk but yet you are still selling it. That says a lot to me about your standards. This watch has already been replaced by Fitbit once because after about 6 months it stopped syncing to my devices, wouldn't hold a charge, and wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi. He we are 6 month later and the watch did an update and now it will not connect to any of my devices, does not keep date or time, and because they told me to reset it, now I can not even see my steps. What a giant waste of my money. This is junk. Also not sure why but Kindle Fire is not a supported device even though Fitbit now has Alexa on it. Never even thought that it wouldn't be. I figured sense they are both made by Amazon Fitbit would have a deal with them. I guess not.

This has been nothing but a disappointment. After several months I received a new device due to the battery not working. Then after 15 months this happened. The face popped off while I was just standing there! I talked to customer service and they will not replace due the fact that it’s been over a year. After research, there has been a lot of people with the same issue. I have a been a loyal Fitbit customer and this just drove me get an Apple Watch! Do not buy!!! They don’t care about customers!

    Worst fitbit product ever

I was so excited to get this. I've been a fitbit user since 2014 and been through several. I was so excited for this one to go on sale. At first I was happy about how it looked like an Apple Watch and how advanced it appeared, but I was very very disappointed by its abilities. My sleep tracker had been acting up the whole time I had it. It would not track my sleep as good as my charge 2. For example, It would say I had only slept for three hours out of the night which was completely false. I don't want to manually add my sleep. There's no point for the watch then. I tried reading the message boards and calling customer service, but none of the advice given fixed the problem. Since I'm pregnant, I can't really use it to work out, and my sleep is very important to me. I simply had to return it and go back to my old one. So sad that it sucked.

    Product Reliability is Terrible!

Don't Buy! Fitbit does not stand by this product. I owned the Versa for about 9 months when it stopped tracking my heart rate correctly. I contacted Fitbit and they tried multiple resets to get it working again. I was asked to wear it for a week to test the heart rate. Within the week it stopped turning on. I had to mail in my broken watch before I could get a replacement and they wanted to send a cheaper different color replacement. This took several weeks of hassle to resolve. Versa #2 arrived and only worked for a week before freezing. Versa #3 just broke at month 13 of "ownership". The screen is too dim to see in the light, it won't hold a charge and the screen randomly has white lines across it that make it unreadable. Fitbit will not replace this one since I'm past the original warranty even though it's obvious there is a significant quality problem with the devices. Definitely not worth the money.

I loved this watch but then it stopped working one day. I called and got a replacement, and that one stopped working also. I called again, and they wouldn't send me another one, so I'm out the money that I spent on this watch. I took very good care of it too. I used it for swimming and always made sure I dried it off thoroughly after use. Which it is supposedly water resistant up to a certain amount of feet. I always did surface swimming so I wasn't deep in the water. They did say they could send me a 25% off coupon toward another device. I just laughed at them because more than likely this would happen again because it has happened twice already. And now I have no watch. Why would I buy another one of these just to have the same problem? Don't buy. It's junk. I'm going with apple instead.

    Poor Quality for Price

Worst purchase ever. The strap kept ripping. Fitbit was good about sending new straps and supporting for the year that was in warranty, but they refused to do anything even a day outside warranty. Thus, I would suggest either purchasing extended warranty or looking for a different brand. Their screens are also terrible regardless of which watch you choose. My coworker had the smaller one and I had the Versa. Both of our screens kept messing up with lines showing like black pixels. Shortly after the warranty my screen just came undone: it fell off the watch and something disconnected so I could not fix it. Not worth the time and money spent. I know I'm late leaving feedback, but better late than never.

    Started discoloring within three months!!!

Generally, I don’t care much if a product doesn’t satisfy the requirements fully. However, this product proved to be such a waste of money that even a person like me had to provide a bad review. Within three months after buying, the color around the watch dial started discoloring, and the discoloring continued even if it is not worn at all. This is not discrete discoloring due to random scratches or accidents, instead it is continuous discoloring. I contacted customer care, they said that they cannot help as their one year warranty does not cover such discoloring due to aging (3 months!!!!) or whatsoever. Unless, you are fine with $200 for three months, as per my experience I would not recommend this product. There are lot of good deals available in that price.

I reported my issue (the second time with the Fitbit team and received this reply: We apologize for the delayed response and it was nice chatting with you regarding your Versa's volume not working using your Airpod. We've run another review on this email address, we're able to locate your Fitbit account and see that your device successfully synced today, June 4th at 3:34 PM using your iOS device. So that we can document your case properly, may we ask what type of airpods are you using? As we've contacted our team regarding this case, we'd like to set proper expectation that our device's volume can't control when using an Apple Airpods. Should you wish to use this feature on your device, we do suggest using our Fitbit Flyer which is currently not available on our website https://www.fitbit.com/shop/flyer. However, you can check our authorized retailer via https://www.fitbit.com/retailers as they still have our Flyer earphones on their inventory. If you wish to know more about our Fitbit Flyer, you can check this website: https://www.fitbit.com/flyer. We hope to hear from you. Should you have any further questions, don't hesitate to let us know. Sincerely, Julian S. and the Fitbit Team This was my reply: All I can say is I'm extremely disappointed. I purchased the Versa with the understanding that I would be able to listen to music as I exercise. Little did I know that I would need to purchase your exclusive wireless earphones. I feel that this should be part of the advertising, or at least noted on your website and the package detailing. I had tried two other brands of wireless earphones and experienced terrible Bluetooth connection while walking outside, despite resetting the Versa a number of times. The Bluetooth connection was good with the Apple Airpods; however, I had to deal with ear-piercing sound. Unfortunately, I am left with no other choice but to post a negative review of your product. My recommendation - spend the extra money and purchase an Apple watch.

I bought this watch for my wife and in less than a year she has had to have 2 replacements from FitBit. They don't last very long. Both replacements have ended up doing the exact same thing as the first. They stop alerting texts and syncing with the phone, and then over the next few days the screen will eventually die. The first time FitBit made her send the watch back (the original) and 2 months later she finally received the replacement. The 2nd time, they just sent her a new one (refurb I assume) without having to send the first replacement back. We assumed this was becoming such a big issue they were just replacing them and hoping for the best. Well, the 2nd replacement only lasted about a month. Don't waste your money, just look for something better.

First time using a Fit Bit and never will buy anything from this company again. The product fails weekly. Ive lost track of how many times they’ve told me to reset the watch and the app and restart my phone and turn off Bluetooth and dozEns of other steps. The customer service is awful. Total junk product. Even when it worked , it wasnt accurate. You could be sitting down and next thing you know, it logs 1000 steps. I never got notifications on my watch despite all the settings being correct. Just an awful experience with this technology and a HUGE waste of. Money . Should have returned it sooner because now Best Buy wont help me and Fit Bit is useless. Wanted to give it zero stars but this forced me to give it 1

    Worked Pretty Good, Then Died

I had the Versa for 16 months. It has some nice fitness features and works decently well as a smart watch, though there were occasional syncing issues and sometimes the notifications randomly just stopped working. Then one morning it completely stopped working. It wouldn't turn on unless it was charging. If you google it, it is a very common issue, but the FitBit warranty is only good for a year and mine died a few months after that period. The most they will offer is a discount on a new watch, but I don't feel like buying a new $200 watch every 12-16 months when there are more reliable products out there.
