Good watch poor quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Attention!! To anyone considering spending their hard earned money on this product, I urge you consider a protection plan with bestbuy. In the event you damage this watch during everyday acitivities, which is extremly likely, you will have absolutely no recourse with Fitbit. They do not repair devices, and will not replace any device which they deem accidental damage (meaning cracked screens).

Just after a year, it’s broken
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just after 13 months, it’s broken! It came apart suddenly. I was doing bedside nursing at the time when I noticed that the screen is hanging and exposed the inner part of the watch. It really came apart.

Not a very good smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like the Fitbit Versa, I have enjoyed their other fitness trackers and thought this would be on the same level while providing more functionality with my iPhone. I was wrong. The fitness tracking was fine with this as were all the fitness-related functions. I liked the extended battery life and easy setup (although taking over an hour) in the Fitbit app. What I didn't like were the design and smartphone integration. The Versa's physical size is larger than the 44mm Apple Watch yet the screen is smaller. The buttons don't feel premium and there plastic backing feels cheap. I wouldn't trust this watch in the pool despite being water resistant. The display quality is also pretty poor. Viewing angles are slim and I can easily see where the display ends and huge bezels begin. The display isn't in the center of the watch either. The bottom bezel is larger so Fitbit can put their brand under the display. It's an overall pretty poor design, something I would expect from a $100 Android Wear watch from a no-name company but not Fitbit. Also, the integration with my iPhone was poor. I could get notifications about missed calls, texts, and e-mails but accessing and dismissing the notifications wasn't intuitive. I also couldn't take any of the phone calls, fully read and respond to the texts, or anything else like that. It was only viewing the notifications. I knew I would have some limitations since I'm on an iPhone but I have used Android Wear and Samsung Gear watches with my iPhone that let me do more. I ended up returning this for a Series 4 Apple Watch. Yes, it's more expensive but the phone integration is much better and it has most of the same fitness capabilities.

Not a fan
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had frequent connection issues with the Fitbit products. I owned the Alta before this and had the same issue with connectivity. I had to contact Fitbits customer service a few times to get things sorted out. I traded this for an Apple Watch and that was a major upgrade. I now own the Samsung Active and still quite happy with them and never had any issues. With that said, I do not feel comfortable recommending this product.

Lots of Unresolved Issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, the versa looks gorgeous and is bright enough to be seen outdoors (My Fitbit Charge 2 cannot be) BUT,,there are lots of unresolved issues with this and the Iconic... frequent Bluetooth disconnects, WiFi issues ( a warning on the Fitbit website today June 22-2018, says it is being addressed) I have a compatible phone..Galaxy S8... received frequent "a sync error has occurred, please retry" messages on the Fitbit app and "There is an issue connecting to the device with Bluetooth..if you continue to get this message re-start Bluetooth" I never had any connectivity or sync issues with my Fitbit Charge 2...so, I chatted with Fitbit Tech support..they blamed it on my Galaxy S8... an approved device??? There is a "Versa won't sync" topic on the Fitbit forum with over 300 posts and 3K reads... it's a big issue... I wish it had worked... there were other issues as well, so I returned it to BB.

2 year review
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's assuredly a new one in the market, but I've had three previous models, and they all suffer the same issues, so I feel this is relevant to the Fitbit brand. If you buy a Fitbit you will definitely need replacement bands. You will definitely have to power cycle your device occasionally because it keeps failing to sync. If you are serious about using a Fitbit for weight loss, than you should look elsewhere. Driving your car will add 1000+ steps of you're commute is like mine on the freeway for 30 min. Calories burned will be hundreds in excess of realistic numbers, so overestimate your calories in when recording food. I've had walks on the treadmill add 800 calories to my budget, while 5 mile bike rides add 300. Sleep is inaccurate as well, as I often have to trim the start and stop times (before I stopped caring about that metric). Overall, Fitbit brand watches are not worth $100+ for what you get.

Neat watch for some, not all.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t buy a Versa if you’ve already had an Apple iWatch. It’s essentially a major downgrade. While it is customizable, the apps are too basic for the price. I was hoping to be able to read my messages from the watch but that didn’t work. I thought the Versa had a bible app. It does not. Seeing any uplifting meditation or phrase goes a long way so I was slightly disappointed for that reason mainly. If one wants it to strictly keep track of their sleep, caloric intake and exercise activity, then it’s the perfect watch. I ended up with a basic Casio watch. By the way, I found it very stressful and disappointing when I didn’t reach and/or exceed my daily step goal. So if ignorance is bliss then I’m content with being blissfully unaware of my step count. Just get out and move and be happy with yourself. Be healthy. Strive to be better physically, mentally emotionally and spiritually.

Very Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking forward to upgrading my Charge 2 which I've been very satisfied with to the Versa to track indoor pool swim laps and have a watch while swimming. I couldn't get the weather city to work and was told by Fitbit my Samsung Note 8 wasn't compatible.....? Then Best Buy advised I couldn't add the Best Buy Warranty because Fitbit would be handling their own warranty (I guess you can't bring in locally for help, but must mail and wait?) That's not customer service to me. Additionally I've read reviews that Fitbit refused returns on water issues because the watch could have been dropped or used in too deep....... as it is only water resistant. That was it for me, I returned it because I need a waterproof watch with a good warranty. Still looking, meanwhile my Charge 2 will have to do....So disappointed because the Versa "looked" like it would fit the bill for me....

Syncing still a problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Fitbit product, and I kind of wish I'd gone with something else. The Fitbit Charge I used to own was always difficult to sync with my iPhone. Now, my new Versa, is the same way - it's a pain to sync. Fitbit support always suggests the same things: On your phone turn of bluetooth then turn it on again. If that doesn't work turn your phone off and on again. My answer to that is no. I shouldn't have to do that several times a week. Another suggestion is to move it away from other bluetooth items... in this day and age that would mean a trip to the middle of the desert. I love my Versa -- when it works. But Fitbit really needs to address the syncing issue that they've always had. You can take a quick look at the support forums and see what a widespread problem it is covering all of their products. This will be my last Fitbit purchase.

Worst fitness watch I've used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This shouldn't be labeled as an "active" watch. I work in the medical field and deal with stretchers often. I barely brushed a stretcher while loading a patient and cracked my screen. Less than 40 days of wear and now it's done for. You can't have the glass replaced and fitbit offers you nothing for the trouble so now own a $200 paperweight.

Terrible disappointment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are some serious issues with this device. I do not see consistent readings in terms of distance when I go for runs along with heart rate monitoring. Also the fitbit app is a disaster. There have been multiple occasions when my Versa indicates I have accumulated the necessary steps for an hour but the app shows I am missing steps for a particular app. I also have been unable to sync my Versa to the app entirely until I reinstall the device to the fitbit app. What a joke. Kind of wish I would have never bought that device especially as the support team have never resolved any of my issues.

Caveat emptor
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected to get at least 2 years out of this, but I was wrong. I bought this for my wife 19 months ago and she loved it until it stopped working. It won't turn on anymore. Fitbit support walked me through various attempts to recover it, but nothing worked. They said I need a new device but it's no longer covered under warranty. They can give me 20% off but that's not enough for me to try this again. I'm going back to my policy of always buying the extended warranty or performance guarantee for anything over $100.

will not sync
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this watch . But the software is terrible. It will sync one day than stop. Have tried everything to no avail. I have reset phone and reset versa many times. It will work for a day than same thing where will not sync. Almost impossible to use. Get no notifications. It is set up right as will work for a day than nothing works. The internet is full of people having the same problems. When works is great, but hardly works

Does not work properly
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Fitbit Versa in July 2019 and since Jan-Feb 2020 it does not work properly. It blanks out to the blue fitbit symbol, the touch screen does not work. i cannot sync to my new phone. I am very careful with water even though it says its 'water resistant'. I am soooo disappointed. I purchased the fitbit charge 2 in 2017 and it was still working when i purchased this one. I just wanted an upgrade. i should have kept the original.

Don’t buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was returning my charge 2 because the band kept breaking. They were all out of it because the charge 3 was soon to be released. I upgraded to a Versa. Bad choice. I love the features but even with a screen protector, the screen cracked within two days. You are no longer allowed to buy the protection for Fitbit at Best Buy. And Fitbit does not warrantee the screen. Until they can remedy the problem of the screen cracking so easily I would not recommend this product.

Great "look". Hard to understand data reports.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Attractive watch. Data collected seems random and does not map to how I moved through my day. For example, I make note of when I go to bed because I am interested in monitoring my sleep quality. The total hours my Fitbit notes is not even close to the actual number of hour between when I went to bed and woke up the next morning. I see lots of options for features but finding instructions to use them is difficult to figure out. Does not seem like there is a lot of substance behind the hype. The area where Fitbit apps are displayed vs fee based apps...it is not intuitive to distinguish between apps that are free from Fitbit vs trials of fee paid apps. I downloaded a trial app and when the trial was over, it hung up my watch screen and tried to force me to go to a website and put in a code to make it go away. I chose not to do that because I was concerned about being forced into a sale. Went back to Best Buy and a member of the Geek Squad sorted it out. The product has great potential but for novice or new to smartwatch users, it is tedious to get the promised value; too much reliance on the user figuring it out vs an intuitive interface. I would recommend this to a friend who already was a Fitbit user and wants an upgrade. But for someone just starting down the smartwatch path, I would not recommend Fitbit.

Fitbit versa
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed with this model. I brought it for my husband and it didn’t keep data accurately. It didn’t track the heart rate accurately, or the active minutes as well as calorie burns. I didn’t take out a warranty with bestbuy. I contacted Fitbit and informed them of my issues ... they were able to verify the defect and sent us another because it failed to work right within the first 30 days. The replacement they sent worked for a week and than same defect started to occur. Too much money to be so defective. Would not recommend you buy this versa

Died right after warranty was up
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I transitioned from a Charge HR to the Versa as my Charge HR suddenly died after having it for 2 years. Despite that issue, I purchased the Fitbit Versa. The first year I had it, it was great. Occasionally after that, I would have issues with it charging, but nothing that was a big deal. I didn't wear it daily and it was well taken care of (turned off and put away on a shelf when not in use, never submerged in water, always stored in a dry place). Suddenly, the screen goes out and now I am unable to use it at all. A few more issues with charging, syncing and delays started before it completely died as well as the screen freezing and only showing the start up screen. I did shut it down, reset, and replace the charger. None of it worked. At the price you pay for it, it's not worth it as there is no assistance or repair options. When contacting Fitbit, they simply offer 20% off your next purchase. It's worth your money to spend a little more and get an Apple watch rather than purchasing from Fitbit.

It'd be great with better QC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The app is amazing. It's easy to use and the way it displays sleep data is very easy to understand and makes you want to do better. That said the watch itself did not last. I wore it everyday but did not sweat in it that often.
