Verify your phone supported by Versa

I purchased a Fitbit Versa special edition earlier this year with high hopes of using a fair price high quality device. I was able to set up the device on my Verizon LG G6 and it appeared to operate as advertised for approximately one month before refusing to sync with my phone after I had left my home Wi-Fi for any period time over 24 hours. After trying phone resets, versa resets, deleting and reinstalling the software, I gave up on versa. I'm hoping at this point perhaps a later update through Fitbit would address these problems I'm sure I'm not the only phone owner having consistent syncing issues after purchase.

Love the product, after 2 months I woke up to a black screen and I wouldn't turn on again. Had frustrated experience with support and was required to RMA my watch. It's now a month later, I have no watch, no response.. How can Fitbit track my health when it breaks and the company has no CS policy to keep it's users tracking. I asked for a refund but Fitbit will only support returns if it comes from Fitbit. I will sell this when it's returned and won't by another Fitbit.

Great watch, but changing bands is a nightmare.

I was really enjoying and understanding all of the features and operation of my new Versa...until...I changed the grey cloth bands to the rubber bands to go swimming. My wife and I spent nearly two hours trying to fit the band into the watch. What awful engineering. Obviously Fitbit hired drunken chimpanzees to design this horror show. After broken fingernails and pain, we finally made the change. I'm never going to change the bands again. Fitbit could do better!

    not very good smart watch

I ended up returning the Versa because it just didn't meet my expectations for a smart watch. My first issue with the watch is that it has sync problems with a Moto 5G+. Maybe it works great with other smart phones, but I had to go through the whole initialization sequence to get the watch to sync three times in two weeks. Sync should just work. My second issue is that in order to save batteries they turn off the display. That may have been ok if it would turn on with a wrist flip or a tap on the display, but I would have to press a button multiple time to get it to wake up. Hey FITBIT, smart watches should be easy to use and you should be able to tell time with them easily. The third issue is that sleep data can only be accessed through the app. They don't allow you to access the information with the watch itself. Hey FITBIT, go get a Pebble 2 and use it for a while. That should be your minimum smart watch. You bought the company. Learn from them. I walk a lot and would have liked walking to be one of the supported activities. The app says that it is, but it is only supported as part of the step count and floor count. They don't keep track of how you are doing day to day or week to week on your walks. Pebble did. Fitbit should too. So after wearing this for two weeks I took it back and am back to using a Pebble 2 with a broken crystal. At least it works and I can tell time with it like I could with a normal watch.

Great Fitness Watch, Not so Great Smartwatch

I waited patiently for this to come out and purchased it the first day. After a week, I am returning. I loved the design and look and for a fitness watch, it is great. Water resistant and long battery life are perfect if you want a fitness watch. For a smartwatch, though, its the equivalent of a toddler's fake iphone. It does nothing a smartwatch should do. It looks like an Apple Watch or a Pebble but you can't answer texts or decline calls. You can't set the watch to always on display.

    Great features, yet disappointing!

The display is beautiful, and most of the features are wonderful. However, these positives do not outweigh the negatives. The heart sensor stopped working on the first Versa I purchased two weeks ago after less than 2 days, so I exchanged it. I have had the second one for only 3 days, and it's worse than the first; although the heart sensor is working so far on this one, the battery life is less than one day, and the minutes active feature just plan doesn't work. For example, I charged the watch overnight and put it on at 6:30 a.m. Displayed 100% battery life left, but less than a minute later it showed 99%. I exercised for 2 hours, and when finished the watch says I was active only 33 minutes. By 10 a.m. the battery was down to 45%, and even though I didn't use the watch for anything after that, the battery was dead before 1:30. Battery life is NOT as advertised. This Fitbit is being returned as well, and I doubt I'll take a chance that a #3 would work. Too bad, because the features and style are so great. I suggest not buying the Versa until the Fitbit folks iron out the kinks.

The o2 sensor is a lie

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Main reason I chose this version was the o2 sensor, turns out people have been begging fitbit to activate it for more than 2 years now and they won't, they just give an excuse that it has the potential to be used in the future. A very sidestepping unanswer. Secondly the limited app store is kinda a joke but more a terrible idea. Half of the little gadget ones ive tried dont work. Give me a pulseoxi app that works and maybe I'll raise my rating.

Features don't matter, a comfortable band doesn't matter, and battery life doesn't matter if it dies. Mine lasted three weeks and then died (no connectivity, distorted flashing display, unresponsive), and Best Buy won't help. Wonder why they don't sell extended warranties on them? Because they don't last. I bought this to replace my Blaze. Know why? That died too.

Versa not a replacement/upgrade from the Pebble

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I waited this entire year for the versa to come out hoping it would be a replacement for my long standing Pebble classic (1st generation). I purchased one yesterday evening and now I plan to return it less than 12 hours later. My needs were simple. 1. Get notifications on my watch which I can read completely without pulling out my phone 2. Reject calls from my watch 3. Get a week's battery life from the watch 4. Track activity like sleep and steps Pebble did this beautifully! and what did fitbit do? It killed it. Notifications are pointless on the Versa. Cant rejects calls. Battery is ok ...atleast better than most in the market. Tracking is also ok. If there was someone in the market that could really continue the Pebble legacy, it was Fitbit.. or so my hope was. You had the pebble technology for more than a year now and have incorporated absolutely nothing from it. Whats the point of making a watch fancy if its you cant provide the basic features? Sales of Ionic were abysmal, dont see that picking up for Versa. I am sorry to say I feel Fitbit purchased Pebble to kill off competition. Sincerely, Disappointed Pebble User

I love the versa but its reliability is very bad. Even bestbuy doesn't offer an extended warranty because they break within 2 to 3 months of use. I have gotten 4 the last one I bought it was versa lite on August and it broke on November.

This product is a total flop. Just google "Fitbit Versa Sync" and read the hundreds of people having the same issue. Do not buy this until its fixed!

Disabled Heart Rate Tracking while Swimming

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Hi, I understand this watch used to provide heart rate tracking while swimming. I bought it expecting all the features and when I found my heart rate was not tracked, I searched to find why. Apparently this feature was removed. As a workaround I hear you can use the smarttrack feature that recognizes workouts, but you won't get lap counting...it won't be a swim workout at that point. If I knew ahead of time I woulda bought an apple watch.

    Fails Big

This watch does not sync with the phone properly at all. Always loses sync. When you try to sync back up with the phone it will not. Did a factory reset. After setting it up again. By the way, setting it back up from the start takes 30 minutes each time. Then after four hours of use, it would have the same problem. I did research and it turns out many watches have this issue. I was hoping this one was going to work. Looks good but falls short.

I bought this in store, charged to 100% at night and by morning it was 29%. I did not even use any of its features wonder how bad will that be if I use music or quick replies. Finally bought Versa Lite which is much better. Not sure if this was the just the piece I got or is in general for all Versa
