Customers are saying

Customers admire the Zip Wireless Activity Tracker's ease of use, small size, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate its motivational features and find it reasonably priced. However, some users point to inconsistent battery life and a display that can be difficult to read as drawbacks. The limited feature set compared to more expensive models is also a recurring concern.

battery needed to be replaced after 2 months. actual distance is not accurate but close. 5 miles ran using accurate gps gave me credit for 4.6 miles. not sure if calibration is even an option. If you do not cink before midnight you loose that days activity.

I wear both the Apple watch - and when I can't - the Fitbit zip. It is easy to wear when I'm playing team volleyball - and helps me keep track of that activity level. So I see the device as an inexpensive addition to my main method of tracking activity levels.

    Expensive pedimeter

I bought this to replace a cheapie pedometer that was counting three steps for each one taken. This is more accurate but has several drawbacks. First, in order to get the display to show steps you have to keep tapping it on a hard surface... And it won't stay there. Secondly, the holder and clip are very difficult to use. The clip barely separates so it's hard to slip over a waistband. And it's rubbery so it doesn't slude easily. The report they send you weekly is silly... Really... This just counts steps so the rest is marketing for the feeble-minded. Overall would not purchase again... Only glad I didn't spring for the wristband version costing up to three times as much.... What a racket.

I like that it motivates you to try to move more. I don't like that it comes with no directions and you have to go online to try and figure out how things work! Once you figure things out it is a pretty useful tracker without spending a lot of money.

I didn't want another item on my wrist, so thought I should start out with the zip. I haven't figured everything out and had to call the help line to sync the device. I'm surprised at how many steps I can do in a day. It's a great motivator.

I did not want a wrist band activity tracker and I find that this one does the job! I like the rubber-ish case that holds the tracker and use it to clip to my pants pocket. It always stays in place and is comfortable (not too bulky). The tracker itself syncs with my iPhone via bluetooth and the FitBit app so that is awesome.

I bought my wife FitBit Zip for her birthday and she loves it. She sold me on buying one for myself. Now I love it. I am a behaviorist and appreciate how this device and related software make self-management very reinforcing. It makes you want to walk more and for longer distances. My wife was right. The FitBit Zip is fantastic!

Bought this on a lark because I had expiring reward zone points and the movie I wanted was out of stock. Set it up in a few minutes and activated the app on my iPhone. I love this thing. It definitely let me know right away just how sedentary my life had become. Motivates me to try to hit 10K steps every day which will hopefully help keep me fit. My wife was jealous so I went back and bought one for her and one for my son. Highly recommended

This stepper is very accurate more so than the wrist types out there. Small enough to stay out of the way but large enough to where you can still see and use the screen. I will definitely buy again!

This little guy is really a good tool for measuring steps and other activity. The clip on is "sturdy" and has not slipped off of anything I have tried it on. Seems not as easy to fool about activity, then the "wrist riding" versions.

The Fitbit Zip is a great basic activity tracker. This is great for people who want to start walking for health reasons. It motivates you to get out and walk everyday by seeing the difference in steps taken, miles walked & calories burned. This activity tracker assists in making a personal goal & sticking to it.

I had a Fitbit Flex prior to purchasing the Fitbit Zip. The band for my flex had ripped and I was really only using it for the step tracking so I figured downgrading wouldn't be a bad idea. For the price and the quality, I think the Zip is a great product! It's also nice to have a tracker that is much less visible.

I love my fitbit! It is very easy to setup and set/change daily goals. I love that I can add friends and compete against them. I can taunt them or cheer them on when I am winning. I like that it syncs when I am close to my home computer or I can do it manually with my smartphone. I work from home and the fitbit made me realize the real reason I was gaining weight, most days I was taking less than 3 or 4K steps. Now I am almost always meeting my goal of 8K steps and I am losing weight. I got the two pack so I could cheer on my partner too. We are very pleased with the product!

This is a nice little Fitbit. It can attach to your pocket and you don't even know it is there, unlike the bright colored wristbands. It does not track your sleep, which is fine. it easily syncs to my phone or tablet. I like the silicone outer casing because it feels secure attached to my pocket.

I first purchased a fitness tracker that went on my wrist but I didn't feel it was accurate. I have a little one so I am usually pushing a stroller or grocery cart, etc. So I felt like I wasn't getting the same results as I do with this tracker that I clip to my pants. I love it! Helps keep me motivated...and fit!

I got the original Fitbit Ultra when it came out. It tracked my steps, stair flights, and sleep. I used it religiously until the casing came apart on me. I picked up the new Zip recently to replace my Ultra and really like it. I have greater faith in its "clipping" mechanism - the metal shouldn't fail on me in a year. The Zip doesn't count stair flights like the Ultra did, but since I don't have stairs where I am now, there was no need. The Ultra tracked my sleep and the Zip does not. But I already know I don't get enough sleep :) My steps and activity level were all I needed to track and that makes the Zip perfect for me. I also like that I could get it in a bright color (which is easier to find when I leave it somewhere).

I use the Fit bit daily to track steps. It is so much smaller than my pedometer and is easy to set up and use. Syncs easily to phone or computer. Be sure to input your stride or it won't count accurately!!

I just wanted to count steps. Keep it in my pocket, never have clipped it on belt or elsewhere and it works fine. I found out that 3 of my close friends have Fitbit as well and the friendly competition has helped me keep at my daily goal.
