It's so good my wife can't put it down! Works like her larger laptop, but 1/3 the weight. She loves it for the size, weight and the abilities!

I previously had an ASUS Transformer with Android 4.0. While the form factor was great, the operating system became outdated and many web sites simply didn't work or crashed the operating system totally. It also took forever to boot up and run. I decided to give this Chromebook a try, since it's lighter and cheaper than the Transformer, albeit similar in size and feel. I was pleased to find that it boots up in just a couple seconds, and the chrome browser loads web sites quickly and with few missteps. I have a desktop machine for more complex tasks, but it's nice to have a portable device for casual content consumption and to take on occasional trips. The Goggle Docs are also useful for when I'm away from my desktop. The non-detachable screen is a mixed bag. Even though the keyboard locks when the keyboard is rotated behind it, it still feels a little funny to be pressing inactive keys while you're using the touchscreen as a tablet. On the other hand, you can make a tent configuration that sits comfortably on your lap for tablet use. Also, it's easy to switch between tablet and keyboard when necessary. My biggest complaint is that I haven't yet found an email client I like. I'm able to access my personal and business accounts via their web apps, but they're not very handy on such a small screen. I'm sure there are better ways to handle my email, but it hasn't been a big deal so far. Overall, a good value for the money.

This isn't my first Chromebook, I had hoped that this one would run faster than the other ones I had but Chrome still crashes. Everything else about it is good but I wish I wouldn't constantly have everything crash multiple times a day, and it's still quite slow and laggy to which I would attribute it to possibly the very little ram installed and it's impossible to increase ram in this particular model.

This Chromebook does exactly what I need it to do. The camera is not that great, but surfing the web and streaming are just fine. Also the Bluetooth works flawlessly.

We were looking specifically at reviews for chromebooks (May/June 2016). This model had very good reviews, and although we had been looking at the bargain-basement chromebooks (my kid was buying herself a computer with her own carefully earned-and-saved money), we chose to buy "up." The real kicker was the quality of the visuals/screen -- I took her into the physical store so she could see why I was encouraging her to invest more money to improve her next two+ years of computer experience. Once we got there, and she had compared the look and feel of the chromebooks, there was no contest. This machine also has: * great, tidy look * touchscreen! * nice key response on the keyboard * good size for kids/casual use (about the size of a large tablet, and twice as thick) * tent/complete invert folding capabilities (making it a movie stand (where the picture flips all the way upside down for you, or essentially a tablet) My 4th-going-into-5th grader was learning on chromebooks at school, so the transition was pretty seamless. If I were in the market for a tablet for myself, I'd consider buying this instead (my computing needs a full size screen so this wouldn't work as a "computer" for me).

My daughter was already submitting all her papers and essays to her teachers as GoogleDocs so a Chromebook made sense. This one is a perfect size for her backpack. The keyboard is adequate for real typing. It seems plenty fast but you might opt for the 4 megs if, like my daughter, you like leaving lots of tabs open while you work. The touchscreen is clear and responsive. A very nice package for the money.

I bought this on a whim. Tired of dealing with Windows, and my brother recommended a Chromebook. This one is fantastic. It starts right up, and the battery lasts 13+hours. It's small enough and light enough to carry in my purse, but the keyboard is a good size. Very happy with this purchase, plus the salesperson was extremely helpful.

My son really likes using tablets, computers, and phones to watch educational videos and play educational games. Because there is so much inappropriate content on the Internet now, I wanted something that was his that I could control the sites he could go to in order to lessen the chance of him accidentally seeing those things. It was hard to control what he had access to and hard to be able to give him time on our devices. I decided that since the schools use Chromebooks and the controls were supposedly easy to set up, I decided to get one for my son. Admittedly it was a little bit of a challenge figuring out how to work it especially since I'm so used to Windows based devices. I asked a number of people if they knew how to set up the controls but no one could answer my questions or show me (this included the computer experts where I bought it). I went on line and got as much info as I could and finally after a lot of time and playing around with it I was able to get it set. He loves using it and I'm happy it's what I got him.

I had hoped that I could use this for some business tasks, but it gets a little buggy when you have a lot of tabs open. The touchscreen is hit and miss, and the Atom processor is too slow. I would like to see this with an i3 chip, and a 13" screen. It's a solid build, looks sharp ands the battery life is great.
