Great camera and floodlight and great service

We have a few of them covering most of our property. The only challenge is setting the light timing so that it doesn't come on from the dog playing in the yard during the night. We had one camera fail, but Ring sent a replacement right away.

I replaced a first generation unit that I moved to the backyard. Works fine but I'm really disappointed with all the plastic. The first one felt like a quality metal unit. This one is all plastic and definitely doesn't have that quality feel for this price point.

I like the setting of "only people" for the notifications. I already know that my neighborhood has raccoons and skunks that roam at night. The lights are not as bright as I would like and I wish it were "daylight" instead of the yellowish color. Also, turning the lights in a specific direction is limited, but functional.

Very Happy with this - Please note if you do not have a light fixture already that you will need to hire an electrician or take a trip to the local hardware store to get the proper hardware to mount this properly.

We use our mobile devices and Echo Shows to keep an eye on an elderly family member. I am not a techie but was able to get the system up and running.

Picture clarity is amazing HDR, birds eye view is a pretty cool feature. Very easy to install. All the adjustments that can be done in Ring app are pretty cool also. If you have Ring products in your home this is a no brainer.

The light’s brightness is perfect, the camera resolution is awesome and I love how it greets people and let’s them know they are being recorded.

We understand how important it is for your device to detect motion consistently and reliably. The Ring Floodlight Cam Pro is designed to detect motion based on your specifications so that you are notified of all motion events that matter to you. We would love the opportunity to work with you to get your device performing optimally for your home's environment.
It sounds like you have some concerns with your device's motion detection. If your device appears to be missing a lot of motion, you may want to check the motion frequency setting. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you.
Follow these steps to adjust the motion frequency:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard.
Tap Devices.
Select the device you'd like to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Motion Frequency.
Select Frequently, Regularly or Periodically.
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active. Shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner.

I had the ring doorbell for a year and I decided to get the floodlight since my existing one broke. The videos are crystal clear and what I love the most about it is the Panic option you can use from the app. A must buy for sure!

Download the app and take it anywhere when you travel, can see your home when away. Plus it can record as it is set up for.
