Best Buy dis nothing to help even tho we reported it. So we are stuck paying for an entire system that was stolen. Very disappointing considering we have done the majority of our tech shopping through best buy

Disappointed, but it does work.

Tried to adjust settings, still a problem. Constantly dinging…had to turn notices off. The purpose of the devise was to alert us to intruders, not moth or the wind.

Rest assured, we are here to provide you with information and insight into how the motion detection system works on your device.
The floodlights on your Floodlight Cam are operated by passive infrared heat detection and have a radius of 270 degrees. The camera unit on your Floodlight Cam notifies you of movement within the camera’s field of view and has a range of 140 degrees. As a result, there will be times when something outside the range of the camera activates the lights. Love it till they break after a year

The first one lasted just over a year. This one just short of a year. Works great for that amount of time. Hoping ring will make things right when i contact customer support tomorrow morning. For the price this should last much longer.

It sounds like your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro functioning as intended. If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button on the top of the camera for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the device to your network.
To reconnect a Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro to your wifi network:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡).
Tap "Devices" and select the camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi.
Tap the "Device Health" tile.
Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app.
Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

Defective unit after four months

Called Ring and they offered to replace it at no charge. Makes one wonder if the quality is still there, after so many rave reviews. Also, you’ll need to pay $3.99 per month to see videos, with the exception of live view. Just so you know. We’ll see if the new unit lasts longer. Hope so. I’ll have to pay an electrician to install, so there’s no costs savings here. Bummer.

While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every ring, motion, and live view event for up to 180 days (US) for as low as $3.99 per month. You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone, as well as have access to the Live View feature. I tried different settings but got the same results. I turned off the lights and am only using the camera.

The motion detection for the camera and the lights on your Floodlight Cam have different ranges and controls. If the lights are coming on frequently at night, there may be a potential trigger such as a heat source or a reflective surface. Static in audio

The video started having lines and distorted. I have had to remove the camera and reinstall 2 to clear up video. Now the audio has a lot static in it.
