We installed for a back porch lighting for when we let the dogs out. I didn't want a light for the backyard, but with an acre I couldn't see the property line. I was pleased that we can see almost the whole yard with this lit up when the dogs go out. The only downside like any motion light it does go off when nothing is there & even picks up rain. Overall tho for what we bought it for I'm very happy.

We’ve seen all kinds of wildlife and have also caught someone trying to brake into our car. At the very least it makes us aware of what goes on in front of our house. We’ll probably get another for our backyard.

It stays connected to WIFI, allows me to see what is going on remotely when I am not in residence, and is easily adjustable. The app is well integrated and allows me to manage more than one property. It's easy to change settings and manage notifications. Pictures are crisp. It integrates well with other Ring products.

It was easy to install and to connect to my current ring cameras & system. The video can record without the lights turning on. Not sure if I would purchase this at full price, just be cause it is so expensive. At a discount, worth it.

Power surges happen and there is no battery back up. If it loses power while you are away it must be reset by hitting a button on the top of camera which requires a ladder and a human.

It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. The Ring app has a feature that lets you remotely reboot your devices. This function allows you to reboot a device from a distance if any problems occur.
To reboot your Ring device in the Ring app, follow these steps:
Note: To reboot your Ring device in the Ring app, it must be connected to wifi.
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the device you want to reboot.
Make sure it's connected to wifi.
Tap the Device Health tile.
Scroll down to Reboot This Device and confirm your selection.
Give your Ring device a few minutes to start up.

Nice floodlight and camera

Camera works well at night without the light. App is very good but takes some time to master. Many options and ways to customize alerts, motion, and people detection. Please note to retain video you will need to sign up for a Ring plan. Plans seem reasonably priced.

Other then that minor issue, we really like this item.
