It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to light setting. The Ring Floodlight Cam Pro is an outdoor security camera designed to provide you with the ability to customize your camera's zone coverage, motion settings and light settings in the Ring app. If the light on your Ring Floodlight Cam Pro turns on and off by itself, here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

* Try turning the light off manually within the Ring app. If it comes back on, examine the camera's view for anything that might be triggering motion detection.
* Verify that a Light Schedule isn't enabled in the app and causing the light to activate.
* Check the Device Health section of your Ring app to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
* Reboot your device from the Ring app by tapping "Reboot This Device" from the Device Health page.

Regarding the low WiFi signal issue, your router is still your main source of connection for your Ring device even with your Chime Pro. Ideally, the maximum distance between the router and your device is 20-25 feet with the Chime Pro about halfway between the Ring device and your router. If possible, try moving the router closer to the device. Also, make sure your router is not in a closet or behind furniture, like a sofa, so the router has an unobstructed signal.

It sounds like the Motion Warning feature is enabled on your device. The Motion Warning feature is a digital recording that notifies visitors that they have triggered motion detection and are being recorded.

To turn off the Motion Warning, you can take the following actions:
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap the relevant device.
Tap Smart Responses.
Tap Motion Warning.
Toggle off Motion Warning.

We are happy to provide you with more information regarding the Bird's Eye View concern that you mentioned in your review. When choosing the location of your device, mark it as accurately as possible by dragging the device icon into place. On the split screen with the camera view and device, move the slider to the left or right until the camera view matches the direction of the device If a motion isn't detected by both views, the motion will be ignored to ensure you only get notified about specific areas of interest.

To use Bird's Eye Zones and get the best results, follow these steps:

In the Ring app, toggle Use Bird's Eye Zones on, then edit your zones (see steps below)
Customize both your Bird's Eye Zones and your Camera Motion Zones. This will help you get more precise alerts by monitoring only the important areas in both the radar and camera's field of view, while ignoring motion that occurs elsewhere outside your home.

To respect your neighbors' privacy, keep your Bird's Eye Zones within your property line. Always use Privacy Zones if a neighbor's property appears in your camera's field of view. With Privacy Zones enabled, the Ring app won't display anything in your Privacy Zones when using Live View, and Privacy Zones won't be video recorded.

The Ring Floodlight Cam Pro is designed to detect motion based on your specifications so that you are notified of all motion events that matter to you. We would love the opportunity to work with you to get your device performing optimally for your home's environment.

It sounds like you have some concerns with your device's motion detection. If your device appears to be missing a lot of motion, you may want to check the motion frequency setting. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you.

Follow these steps to adjust the motion frequency:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard.
Tap Devices.
Select the device you'd like to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Motion Frequency.
Select Frequently, Regularly or Periodically.
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active. Shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner.
