I just remove the older floodlight and install this product. For the setup of the device was also easy, just follow prompts on the app. I found the quality of the image impressive.

It comes with a hook so you can attach the wires and not hold the light at the same time which is a bonus. Great camera quality. And I like how you can turn the light on and off at any point and not just have a basic motion light on your house.

The video quality is really clear at night, but I don't have a lot of expectations there. 4 starts instead of 5 because the light keeps coming on at night without any motion, seems to be a common issue. It should be addressed with a firmware update. Will also have to see how it handles the freezing cold in MN.

It does what it’s supposed to and the night vision camera is excellent! Get it before you get something stolen from your driveway, don’t be like me, I bought it after someone stole our car!

The camera is clear and the notifications are prompt. Connecting it to my router was a little problematic but their customer service helped me immensely and effectively. All is good now. Highly recommended.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have one of the older models which works pretty well with some minor gripes, but I recently bought the new 2k video model, and Best Buy shipped me the old 1080 model. I’ve now returned it twice trying to get the 2k model that I paid for, but Best Buy keeps shipping me the old 1080 model. With regard to the old model that I’ve had for a while, the install and setup were fairly easy, the user interface on the app is not very friendly (eg you have to search for the options or actions you want because they are not located intuitively), the speaker is a bit garbled when talking through it to people outside, the motion detection feature misses some things even after adjusting it, the video on the 1080 model is a bit grainy, and I haven’t found the pro features to be very useful. I was hoping the new 2k model would have better video and fix some of these other things, but that remains to be seen since Best Buy keeps sending me the old model despite me buying the new one. Overall the Ring service and cameras are adequate.

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the video quality concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the video quality. Existing customers is able to upgrade their Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro to 2K resolution at no added cost through the Ring app. 2K video has higher definition and sharper image quality than standard 1080p resolution. If you compare 2K images to 1080p resolution, you’ll see crisper, more distinct definition in images. To enable 2K video quality on your Floodlight Cam Pro, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap the Device Settings tile.
Tap Video Settings for 2K option.
Also, it sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to audio and motion detection. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. Identify and troubleshoot what is causing connectivity issues for Ring devices to give you the best possible video and audio experience.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

Great range in lighting and wide field of vision. Parity is great too. I had an electrician run wire for two and I installed all three myself (I’m average in the handy category).
