It sounds like there was some confusion surrounding how the Ring Floodlight Cam Pro is powered. The Ring Floodlight Cam Pro is powered by a hardwired connection to a standard 100V-240V AC power source, requiring existing outdoor wiring and a 4-inch round junction box for installation. We are happy to share some tips with you to help you troubleshoot why your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro may be experiencing warped sound or no audio. Make sure the external volume is up on your mobile device (on the device where you're viewing your Ring videos or "Live View"). If your phone or tablet has poor service or internet, it could be affecting "Live View" or your video downloads. Try turning Bluetooth off, then open "Live View" or view a recorded Ring video. Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including capturing audio. We recommend following these steps in the Ring app: Tap the top menu (☰), then Devices. Choose your Ring Video Doorbell Wired. Tap "Device Health." Under the "Network" section, you'll see your device's "Signal Strength." If your "Signal Strength" (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Try moving your wifi router closer to your Ring device. Open "Live View" in the Ring app and see if your Ring device's microphone is enabled. Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your Ring Video Doorbell Wired. Tap the "Live View" button. Check to make sure the microphone icon is enabled. You can also press the green phone icon. If you have a Ring Protect subscription, you can view the recording to see what the audio sounds like. Check your audio privacy settings You may have your audio settings turned off for privacy reasons. Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your doorbell. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Privacy Settings." Make sure "Audio Streaming" and "Recording" is enabled. Reboot your Ring doorbell by following these steps: Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your doorbell. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Scroll down and tap "Reboot This Device." Wait a few minutes for your device to reboot.

After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Floodlight Camera connecting to your wifi. If this is the case, we recommend power cycling the device. To power cycle, turn off power to the device for 30 seconds and then turn the power back in. Once this is done, your device should reboot and work as intended. We are happy to provide you with more information on installing your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired pro on an eave. Rotate both the lights outward if you are mounting the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro on an eave or overhang. Install the plastic mounting plate by following these steps: 1. Pull gently from the opening of the plastic plate to free it from the fixture, then feed your power wires through the opening. 2. If you’re installing on a wall, the "UP" arrow should point up when your wires have been fed through the mounting plate. 3. If you’re installing under an eave, the arrow should point toward the wall.

Installation by a qualified electrician may be required in your area.

Ring doorbells and outdoor security cameras are water-resistant and designed to withstand normal rainfall and snow. Ring products are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water or sprayed with high pressure water. If you can, it is recommended to keep your Ring device under a protective overhang such as a hanging roof.
