During the day is a great camera to check most of the backyard, at night not so good. I can only view what the flood lights cover. I ended up buying a second camera for other Conner for $179 and the night vision is a better buy than the one for $249 that has birds eye view.

Pros: Works well with Echo Show & we get announcements of people on our property within 2-5 seconds. The Ring Android app and Ring account website are great.
Cons: Heavy pixelation on people, vehicles, and animals that are moving quickly. Anything running past the cameras is unidentifiable. Wind blowing plants & trees will trigger motion settings, as will insects that are attracted to the floodlights at night. Audio is useless unless you are using the cameras to listen to birds and wind.

Hi Connie.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We understand the importance of having clear audio and video from your device, as well as the device picking up the motion you are wanting it to. The features and technology provided by the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We are here today to provide information to ensure your device is performing optimally.
It sounds like your device is not performing as expected. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro offers 1080p video with HDR, advanced motion detection, customizable motion zones, and customizable privacy zones. If you experience pixelated video or poor audio quality, this could be due to poor wifi speeds. We recommend following the steps below to test your wifi speeds:
Turn off your mobile phone’s cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device. Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap Devices. Select your device. Tap Device Health. Under Tools, tap Test Your Wifi. Tap Start to run a test that will measure your upload and download speeds. Both upload and download speeds should be at least 1 Mbps or greater, but 2 Mbps or above is ideal.
Check the numbers on your wifi speed test. If either your upload or download speed is below 1 Mbps, then you might consider replacing your router (especially if it's older than five years). Contact your internet service provider to learn more about getting newer equipment and faster speeds.
All Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras use Advanced Motion Detection, with benefits such as:
Customizable camera motion zones. More accurate motion detection. Reduction of unwanted motion alerts so you can capture only what matters most.
If you are receiving notifications for more motion than you are wanting, we recommend adjusting the settings in the Ring app. Visit our support center for additional information.

After installing it, few days later moisture got into the lense. Went for warranty replacement and since more than 15 days has passed since ai ordered them, Best Buy did not take accountability and referred to Ring. Affortunately Ring did take accountability and o a replacement immediately as soon as I shared the pictures. Next time will buy directly to Ring to avoid similar situations

No funciones good. It is dificult your instation and funtioned.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how critical it is for your Ring Floodlight Cam Pro lights to activate on meaningful motion events so that you can keep an eye out for any activity around your property. The Ring Floodlight Cam Pro was designed to activate based on your specific needs. We can definitely assist you with this today to ensure your Ring device is performing optimally, and the proper settings are chosen within the Ring app.
It sounds like your device is not operating as intended in regards to the lights activating. The lights on the Ring Floodlight Cam Pro have a 270 field of view, while the camera has a 150 degree field of view. The lights can be triggered by motion within a wider area than what the camera captures or records. Motion detection range on Ring devices is up to around 30 feet with the motion sensitivity slider at the maximum level. We also recommend mounting the device at 9 feet above ground level for optimal performance.
If the lights are turning on and off when they should not be, adjust your motion and light settings. Lower the light sensitivity and change the motion zones for lights to only cover the areas you need.
To adjust motion and light settings, follow these steps in the Ring app: Open the Ring app to the main dashboard. Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access. Tap your device's Settings. Tap Light Settings. Choose the function that you wish to adjust: Motion-Activated Lights: Toggle the switch to enable or disable automatic light activation when motion is detected at night. When enabled, the lights will turn on when motion is detected. Motion Zones for Lights: Tap ON or OFF on each pre-set zone to customize areas where motion triggers the lights to turn on. Light Sensitivity: Use a slider to adjust the distance at which your lights will detect motion.
We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Floodlight Cam Pro. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other.
Thank you, Amilia from Ring.

This is sad on me once again. I purchased this based on the high tech feature of the Birds Eye View. And clearly I was taken for a sad ride as it is an awful feature for a premium cost! The view is so but you can not even make out the HOUSE let alone and smaller detail. Ring has done it to me again as I have bought their hype for some of my other devices. Maybe now I will stick to it and start the switch to a competitor UNLESS Ring will respond. And I never hold my breath. So beware if you are buying the upgrade features. Save your money and headaches of taking down the old lights, installing the new Ring floodlight, setting it up ONLY to find it it fails miserably and my recourse is to ask the Map Company used to improve their product. Foolish me
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. At Ring, we want to ensure that you have the best possible experience with our products. Your peace of mind and security are extremely important to us. The Bird's Eye View feature is an invaluable feature of the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro that provides an aerial map view of motion events around your home, so you can clearly see the path that visitors take when visiting your property. Rest assured, we hear you and are here to offer you some help.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to the Bird's Eye View feature and video quality. To ensure optimal video quality and performance, we recommend mounting your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired no higher than 10 feet from the ground. Also, be certain to set the proper motion settings and customize the motion zones. We have included a link here to an article on our website with useful information regarding how to use "Bird's Eye Zones" to get the most out of the feature: https://ring.com/support/articles/nx1sf/How-to-Use-Birds-Eye-Zones.
