I was looking for a dressier alternative to my Apple Watch. I hate its square face, and it doesn’t matter what band you add to it, it’s just not an attractive watch. I had fossil watches in college and loved them, I liked having a decent looking watch to wear when I wore a suit...so I purchased this watch. You’d figure after all this time that wearables have been in the market that Android Wear would be solid to that of Apple...no where close. It’s quite disappointing the disparity between the two. I find the UI/UX on the watch very clunky and unrefined. There are conflicts with my Bluetooth link up in my car when ever I wear this watch. The battery life of this is a joke. I’m lucky if I can get a full day out of the battery. I bought a second charger for work. I can get 2 days out of my Apple Watch series 4. Also the face does not stay lit long enough when I raise my are to read the time Google assistant doesn’t work. It could be that I am using an Apple phone. Not sure. This watch’s only saving grace is its ability to customize the watch face, which is a HUGE gripe of mine with the Apple Watch. I actually dropped 30 bucks on the Facer app, because I can push out awesome watch faces from the app. They are truly beautiful, and kept me from returning the watch after day one. This watch isn’t for the faint of heart. If you can get past it’s shortcoming, it’s Ok. Sadly, this watch is Gen 5 and received rave reviews...it may work great with a pixel or Samsung. Not so much with iOS.

iPhone Users - Go for it now. OTA update pushed

This review is just for iPhone users. I use iPhone 7 and had an assumption that everything will work as expected but that isn’t the case. May be I did not do proper research before I bought this watch. However to ease out for iPhone users, I am letting my observation out. So people can know what they are going to get when they buy. Features as of now: 1. Only notifies you that you got a message along with the sender’s name for apps such as Whatsapp, sms etc but you cannot reply or read the message from the watch. 2. You will get notified on who is calling with the name and the number, you can either choose to attend or reject, however you cannot speak using the watch. Note: Just browsed the internet and came to know that the OTA update would hit us before the year end. This will enable us to make calls and attend the calls and speak using the watch. Until then we need to wait. For android they have all liberty to use and no restrictions. Now coming to the look of the watch and performance. 1. Watch looks stylish and cool. 2. Navigation is smooth and easy. 3. Notifications hit the phone without any lag. Rest I will update once I start using. This is my first day. I will rate 5 stars once the proper update is pushed. **************************************************** So as I mentioned before OTA update got pushed two weeks back. Now I am able to take calls and make calls using my watch. Speaker is audible and mic is also good while I used my watch. However, you need use Google fit app for fitness tracking as Apple Health app will not work well with this watch.

watch looks and works great with my android phone. Only problems is if you want to connect it to a work profile on your phone it will not work. Google apparently does not support this. This was the ONLY reason I didn't keep this watch. Otherwise its a great watch and would have gotten 5 stars.

This watch is probably good for android phones but not for iPhone. The features are limited. To receive text messages you will have download an app on the watch to receive them. You will not receive iMessages on the phone. You won’t be able to receive WhatsApp messages. The main problem for me was not to be able to connect with my iPhone via Bluetooth. It would show as connected but when I went to change something on the watch, I would have do it and my iPhone but then it showed that my watch is not connected to phone even when both of them were next to each other. Not a good watch for iPhone.

I’ve been using the watch for five months now and although it pairs with iOS it still lacks the essential reply to messages and emails. We are still missing some cross platform compatibility. As far as looks and wrist band option, this is much more compatible. dropped price after purchasing, now wishing there was a better offer to buy the apple watch.

I love the way this watch looks it really stinks that it does not work with Apple phones. They lie when they say you can sink your phone and get text messages.

I love the look and feel of this watch. It's more like an traditional watch rather than a brick on my wrist. I synced it with both an Iphone and a Google Pixel. No surprise I did have a better experience with the Pixel. The three buttons on the side stick out a little further than I like. But if you wear it on your right wrist this won't be an issue. Downloading the app and setup was easy. The thing that I didn't like was switching between phone you have to do a factory reset on the watch. Taking about 8 to 10 minutes to pair it with my other phone. It can only be paired with one phone at a time. This won't be a problem for most I'm sure. After set up you have many options on watch faces to pick from. And it's nice getting notifications at a glance so you can decide if you need to pick up your phone or not. I wish I could use my other wireless charging docks but so far it only works with the charger it came with that I have find. I feel the battery life could be better. I got just under 10 hours with the always on display. But after turning this off I could make it through one whole day. You can answer phone calls from the watch also but the sound quality isn't the best. And when paired with my Iphone it drooped calls, But I didn't see this when paired with my Pixel. Over all I just like the looks and feel of this smart watch over my iwatch and I find my self using this one more.

I returned the same day I purchased because it disconnected twice and got frozen once. I had to turn it off before it started working again. I don’t think it’s good idea if you have an iPhone.
