I was looking for a dressier alternative to my Apple Watch. I hate its square face, and it doesn’t matter what band you add to it, it’s just not an attractive watch. I had fossil watches in college and loved them, I liked having a decent looking watch to wear when I wore a suit...so I purchased this watch. You’d figure after all this time that wearables have been in the market that Android Wear would be solid to that of Apple...no where close. It’s quite disappointing the disparity between the two. I find the UI/UX on the watch very clunky and unrefined. There are conflicts with my Bluetooth link up in my car when ever I wear this watch. The battery life of this is a joke. I’m lucky if I can get a full day out of the battery. I bought a second charger for work. I can get 2 days out of my Apple Watch series 4. Also the face does not stay lit long enough when I raise my are to read the time Google assistant doesn’t work. It could be that I am using an Apple phone. Not sure. This watch’s only saving grace is its ability to customize the watch face, which is a HUGE gripe of mine with the Apple Watch. I actually dropped 30 bucks on the Facer app, because I can push out awesome watch faces from the app. They are truly beautiful, and kept me from returning the watch after day one. This watch isn’t for the faint of heart. If you can get past it’s shortcoming, it’s Ok. Sadly, this watch is Gen 5 and received rave reviews...it may work great with a pixel or Samsung. Not so much with iOS.

Battery life barely lasts through a work day. Google Assistant via holding the Assistant button fails to connect to servers ~20% of the time. The OS is chugs when interacting with the screen. The watch is a convenient way to be alerted to notifications. I keep hoping that the watch will gain some great functionality due to integration with Android, but nothing striking is yet available. The watch is well-built and attractive. It's a good choice if you're interested in style and just want a device for notifying you when you've received notifications. If you're into gadgets, it's fun to have, but don't expect an experience as in depth or consitent as the Apple Watch.

    Not good for iPhone

This watch is probably good for android phones but not for iPhone. The features are limited. To receive text messages you will have download an app on the watch to receive them. You will not receive iMessages on the phone. You won’t be able to receive WhatsApp messages. The main problem for me was not to be able to connect with my iPhone via Bluetooth. It would show as connected but when I went to change something on the watch, I would have do it and my iPhone but then it showed that my watch is not connected to phone even when both of them were next to each other. Not a good watch for iPhone.

I read the reviews about the Gen 4 and how this new gen 5 should have much improved battery life with the newer chipset and decided to wait for this one to come out. Without using one of the low power modes that significantly reduces the functionality of the watch I get about a half-day out of it. I put it on at 10 am this morning after charging it all night and now at 12:15 it's at 60% battery. I haven't even done anything with it except check the time twice. I have the always on display off and it's set to only turn on the display with a gesture (which doesn't work great compared to an apple watch or galaxy watch). I have it set to only check heart rate manually. Just writing this review it's dropped by 2% already. Other than that it's a solid watch and works well. That doesn't really matter if you can't even get a day of use out of it though.

My husband can't seemed to get the battery watch to stay charged for a full day. It will last until noon before he has to charge it. Sometimes we cannot get it to charge on it's charger.

The battery will not go 12 hours, more like 8. The step counter failed after day 1 although it appeared to count reasonably well. When I attempted to get a manual after 24 hours they referred me to Wear OS. The tutorial isn't helpful and is very difficult to turn off. This is a big watch so I was hoping I would be able to read steps and heart rate but the watch only uses part of the screen. They do have lots of choices for watch faces, but none give you better sized readout. This was my second attempt at a smart watch, the first was a Fitbit which counts steps while you are driving, so at least this one counted more accurately. Returning it today!

The watch works alright and if you wear your watch on your right hand it will be a comfortable watch for you. The battery life with very light use leaves much to be desired and the watch seemed to find it necessary to default to notifying of an inability to connect to google constantly. The apps dont sync properly with my 5G LG phone and after owning three other smart devices, I would suggest you try any other brand. Will be returning.

This item was on sale for the same price as a Fitbit. I was replacing a Fitbit that died. I thought this would be a step up. Not so. Battery life is terrible relative to the Fitbit. Does not display health variables as well as the Fitbit does. Had an issue with the heart rate sensor. If Best Buy did not have a restocking fee on this item, I would have returned it.

Watch is nice and thin but that comes with battery life not being good at all. I was getting less than 18 hours of life with most of the settings in battery save mode. No good. Also the crown wheel is in a bad spot if you do anything with your hands. I was constantly pushing it in with ever bend of my hand, which would activate google assistant with no way to disable.

I was super happy with my purchase, but about 4 days after it stopped working. I never dropped it or played around with it, it just stopped working or changing. I had to return to the store and they spent about 30 minutes trying to fix it. The watch is nice and classy, but not great for working out. The metal also feel like plastic and feels like it might break if you're too rough with it.

I really wanted to like this watch. The features are there and it had a nice clean interface however the battery barely lasted a full day. I returned it and purchased a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 which has far superior battery life.

I read the reviews, but did not come across any specifics regarding iPhone users. I love the look of this watch. It is definitely a change from the traditional Apple Watch look. But it is not very compatible with iPhones. It does not push text messages through. You cannot answer your phone through the watch. I tried to open Spotify and have not been able to get it to work. Like I said, I will keep it for the cool look, but wouldn’t buy again unless I had an Android phone as I’m assuming it would probably have more of functionality with those.
