The apple tv app being free of use for 3 months is actually a good deal. I honestly haven't used it yet, but I do plan on using it pretty soon.

Whether the service is worth $5 a month for you -- or less, depending on whether you get it for free with a new Apple device or a discount as part of Apple's Apple One bundle -- depends on how excited you are to watch those originals. Its biggest breakout hit so far has been Ted Lasso, the Jason Sudeikis dramedy about an American football coach who gets hired to coach an English Premier League soccer team. Shows like Mythic Quest, Severance and Schmigadoon! have also garnered critical praise, but few have made cultural waves the way that, say, The Mandalorian did for Disney Plus.

As part of my Xbox Series S purchase in September 2023, I received an Apple TV subscription, and it's been a delightful addition to my entertainment arsenal. The content library is rich, offering a range of genres from high-quality dramas like "Ted Lasso" to gripping documentaries. The streaming quality is impeccable, delivering crisp visuals and smooth playback, which pairs well with my 50-inch Westinghouse TV. Navigating the user interface is a breeze, both on my Xbox and other devices, making it easy to switch between shows or pick up where I left off. The subscription also allows for family sharing, which is a nice touch. On the downside, it lacks some of the extensive catalog found in other streaming services and can feel a bit limited in variety.

Apple TV has great shows, just a bit sad that I cancelled my free trial before and it automatically just cancels the access.

Say what you will about Apple, but they are getting this one right. In time, their offerings have improved significantly, and the quality of their productions is typically a step above the competition. All of this combined with the fact that AppleTV is baked into the existing ecosystem so that most Apple users already have a subscription of some sort means it’s likely a hidden gem amongst your already growing list of subscription-based entertainment services. It’s worth getting if you don’t already have it, and it’s a pleasant surprise for those of you who do. Check it out for yourself and see. Also, you don’t need an actual AppleTV to use it, but it sure beats the other stick and box devices by a long mile.

About 3 years ago, my family and I decided to switch to Apple products, after so many let downs with other devices. We've been gradually switching over ever since, we were only missing an Apple TV plus their set of speakers. We'll we finally made the move and we're loving it! This device works in sync with your iPhone, Apple watch, Macbook, even with your Airpods, it's such a cool integration and it feels fluid. The user interface resembles that of an iPhone, menus are easy to get around once you've gotten used to it. It even has Siri integration! All in all, I'm glad we've made the move. It can be a little expensive at first, compared to other products out there, but remember it will last you many years, plus, you can't match the quality and ease of use. It's really cool and I'm happy I made the move.

Never tried this Apple TV reward on my accounts, since I usually forget to cancel the subscriptions on time. But it always feels good to get generous rewards.

I did definitely enjoy the trial period of Apple TV. There were some shows that I really got into. We have so many other streaming services, though I don’t know if I’m going to include this one to pay for them.

I bought a new cell phone 2 years ago and it included a free Apple TV box with purchase. I had no idea what it did.The salesman from the store actually lived by me and came over and hooked it up. That took 5 minutes. OMG!! It came with 6 months of Discovery Plus. My favorite program is Naked and Afraid which I had been watching on the Discovery channel on my regular TV. Well I got my first lesson in streaming and I saw Naked and Afraid in 4K and it was like I was right there with them!! Incredible picture quality is an understatement! Out of this world!! If you don’t have one, GET ONE!!

Apple Tv has 5star original programming. I really do look forward to their releases. Only complaint is it can be kind of slow.
