Apple TV is really easy to use. While watching anything it sometimes stops and takes a few minutes to catch up to where you left off. I do wish there were more choices of movies and TV shows. I do like the way Apple TV marks the episodes that you have already watched, so you know where you left off. I do wish the remote was a little bigger only because it is easy to lose. Overall I like using Apple TV for my streaming needs.

Not as much content as other streaming services, but Apple Original shows are top notch. Standalone price is OK, but better if you bundle with Apple Music and iCloud storage. Navigating through shows, e.g. FF, picking episodes, is clunky if you're watching on a TV. More scrolling than necessary. On a computer or iPad, movie around is much easier.

I'm a firm believer in innovative products. The free Apply TV+ for 3 months didn't disappoint. My only challenge is that I didn't want another service as I'm working to cut the cord, so I lost streaming after 3 months. Up until then, it was a good service. I feel like if Apple really wanted to get me hooked, they would have given me 1 year of free service.

I typically read negative reviews before I decide which product to pick, and was pretty skeptical about replacing a remote for an older Apple TV ... mine's so old I didn't know if it was a 1st or 2nd generation. This arrived within 2 days, we took it out of the package (which proved to be the hardest part of the whole replacement process), pointed it at the TV, and it works like a charm. No pairing, no problems, no issues. I think the people who write the bad reviews don't realize their problems may run a bit deeper than the remote. So if you have an older generation Apple TV, this is your simplest choice for a replacement. As a side note, I am taking the advice of the reviewer who said they were putting this inside a snack sized sandwich bag to protect it! Awesome idea.

Video is good, easily set up. The contolers are abisimal! The touch pads are unresponsive most of the time and then become extremely over sensitive for a few minutes. So much so that using the controlers in infuriating!

The newness of the service, coupled with the free cost for an entire year, makes this an easy "good" service to have. The Apple TV original shows are good-to-great -- Ted Lasso was simply phenomenal. However, the depth and breadth of what this service offers is lacking overall. There are not many TV shows or movies available, and one would easily breeze through the entire library in the year of free service. Thus, brings me to the 3-star average rating: as-is, the library available would not justify paying for this service once the free annual subscription ends. Apple needs to significantly boost their available content, come up with more originals, or else it is best to stick with Netflix and/or Hulu for content and original content. It is what it is: a great add on to the actual device purchased, but on its own, Apple TV does not stand up against the competition within the market place.

I received this as a free ad on for a tv I purchased but I have to admit I was a little excited to try it. All my ITunes movies and tv shows transferred and lots of other content available.This was the first I had heard of Apple partnering with Roku. Controls are simple enough and easy to navigate. Give it a try.

The content is ok. The shows are good, but wish there were more wholesome content. The f word and nudity is in almost every show on there. Not for me

Originally a free trial, and have kept it since. It is ok but awkward. In my experience, you cannot get movies etc directly from TV app as a general rule you have to pay for the movies etc. on a separate Apple computer and then play it thru smart TV app. There are a few items, original items, offered directly from Apple+ that is directly accessible via TV app. I find the majority of these directly to accessible ones are not family friendly. They do have several Snoopy cartoon movies and series directly accessible and that's nice and family friendly. There are plenty of family friendly items if you do the 2-step process of accessing movies and shows via Apple computer and then view them on smart TV app. Thus, comparatively, this app is harder to use than other apps on TV.

I had free apple TV and don't seem to use it much because until recently we didn't have a smart TV. I am not familiar with the content so it is probably my ignorance that keeps me from watching. If I knew there was a great program I would surely watch. They gave an extension on our purchase as well.

Really loved these when there was no app. to watch AppleTV now its just another power vampire. I like the layout and screens though its just another layer to watch TV. My Xbox X and TV both have the AppleTV app now - this allows me to do away with the unit except on older TV's etc..

I really didn't have time to fairly examine all the program offerings that this subscription service provides during the trial period. It seems to be a fairly affordable service at $5 a month. I just don't know how much I would use it as I currently subscribe to other services.

I did not renew after free trial due to lack of content that was interesting to me, You get the first episode free of some serial content then need to purchase balance by signing up with the originating streaming provider. Mostly a conduit to other streaming providers.

I have generally been happy with Apple TV. They have some very good quality programming however, in my, opinion they need to beef up their original programming. But it was nice to have a chance to use it for a while and will probably keep the subscription if the price is right.

Apple TV+ is pretty awesome and getting it free for 3 months is nice. However, since I was already a subscriber, I couldn't take advantage of the offer. They should have an option for a free month for current subscribers. If they had that, I would have given it 5 stars.

Unlike the other providers, Apple's focus seems to be on quality over quantity. Nothing I've seen so far on Apple TV looked or felt low budget. Apple actually combined two promotions at once when I signed up. The promotion with my product, and another ongoing promotion I didn't know of. So I'm getting about four months of Apple TV+ for no charge. Rest assured I plan on keeping the service indefinitely because of their content. Check the audience ratings on the movies and shows they offer and see for yourself.

they have lots of apple shows and movies. quality of video is very good. they even have 4K movies and shows but lots of the new movies you have to pay for. not everything is included with apple tv+ but for about $5 a month you can’t ask for anything better.

I followed the instructions to receive my AppleTV+ for 3 months on my computer. It didn't work. I called Geek Squad for help, and after going through 4 different departments, I was told to call Apple's tech support. They set me up with a call back that didn't happen. So, I tried again the next day. This time I got a tech support person that was patient and knowledgeable. Once the service was working, it seems to be a good service. Very high quality picture, very usable format and some good shows. What I did not like was the amount buy and rent options. They seem to be more interested in making money on top of the monthly fee than they are at providing a pleasant viewing experience.

It does what its supposed to do. Cant complain. I'm happy wth the product. Packaged well, good streaming images. I recommend it for apple users. Im more of an android person but again this worked well for me.

I’ve enjoyed the fact I had 3 free months to watch Apple TV but to tell you the truth I only like one or two shows out of the whole thing. Glad I didn’t buy one but it looks nice to have one but there’s more products better in my eyes
