Spent over $4k purchasing a new TV, soundbar, mounts and mounting. Scheduled for first available Saturday install. The day of install we received a call canceling the appt with essentially zero notice. We were given the following Friday as an alternate date. This required me to take time off of work and reschedule dozens of my patients, which I was trying to avoid by scheduling a Saturday appt. I called to request a Sat appt but was told that Sat appts are no longer available for the foreseeable future. Reluctantly and with no other apparent option I accepted the alternate Friday install date. That day the installer did not show up. No call. No show. I called Best Buy to find out what h appened. Apparently they have two scheduling systems (makes a lot of sense to me!) and one showed I had an appt that day, but the other showed as my appt needing to be rescheduled. Would have been nice had someone told me that. At this point I'm very upset about the whole process, but I agree to schedule a third install date. At this point, it's over a month after I've bought and paid for my new equipment, yet it's not been installed, and the TV is still sitting at the store. The installers arrive for the third appt, with the TV in hand, so that was great, but they turned out to be 3rd party installers, not Geed Squad. They were not prepared (for example: they asked to use my ladder and my tape measure because they apparently did not have one of their own). The TV mount I purchased would not work for the install, so they agreed to return the next day to reattempt the install, but I had to go and get a different mount, which I did. They arrived the next day (one hour later than the prearranged time) and then the installer tells me he can't install the soundbar with the TV. He did not tell me this the day before when he saw the soundbar mount that I had bought. I didn't want the TV mounted without the soundbar, so they refused to do their job and left. Before they left I asked that they take the TV with them, as it's a gigantic box for an 86" TV that I cannot move or get back to the store, and they brought it with them when they came the day before. They left without taking the TV, and without telling me they were leaving. Just gone. So unprofessional. To say we were dissatisfied with this experience would be an understatement. We are now arranging return of all the items and are hoping that Best Buy will do something to try to make this right for us. This is not how we expected to be treated as Total Tech members.
