Worst customer service

Techs came out to install subwoofer and left wires hanging. Said they would be back and never came back. Called 5x to get them back and each time they said the service isn’t covered but they did the install!!! Called to complain no response! The worst company to do business with. I will never buy anything from Best Buy again.

Failure to offer solutions

Not to run electric, not to run HDMI cables. Just to hang the TV. I just ran the estimate tool on the Geek Squad web site again, and it is $460 to hang the TV, hide audio and video cables AND for the mount. The "Home Expert" told me to find my own electrician to run electric and HDMI cables. Very disappointed with this "consultation."

Can’t Do installer attitude

He insisted in order for the dishwasher to be installed the wood flooring would need to be cut. He never unpackaged the new dishwasher which was a standard size. We made home leave the appliance and my husband installed it. Without cutting the floor. This guy came with the attitude that he could not do it.

Will never use Bestbuy again.

Moved into a new house and every delivery or non delivery had/or has an issue including damage to cabinets and walls. 1 star is too much.

1st time purchase Home Theater equipment

My wife and I will be retiring soon this year, ultimately spending more of our free time at home. Its been some 50 years since I was really into and knowledgeable about speakers, receivers, electronics in general. The thought of actually pursuing the purchase of our first home theater system with what little knowledge I now have of all the new types of products and options was overwhelming. Needless to say, our first stop and choice was to visit Best Buy. As we just arrived in the Home Theater area, wowed by all the equipment, sound and displays we were immediately greeted by sales staff. I'm sure we had the look on our faces of total confusion and Saif our salesperson probably recognized it. Saif inquired as to what reason has brought into the store, understood our needs, knowledge of products, and our budget. Saif fully took over explaining our options. Showing and listening to various products in their sound room. Sharing his knowledge and recommendations all while keeping our budget in mind including home installation of all equipment. Best Buy was our first stop and our last. The time talking and spent with Saif, the knowledge and understanding gained about our options and products was so valuable. We ended up purchasing our first Home Theatre System at that time. To make things even easier on the spot financing was also available. We felt totally comfortable with our choices of products and in good hands looking forward to our installation. Thank you, Saif, appreciate you and all your help! Side note, the installation of equipment was hassle free and the crew was great. More about that on my installation review. Thank you Best Buy!

ANTONIO GARCIA-Exceptional experience!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This past year, I had the privilege and ability to create/build lppp my own home from the bottom up. We tore down the 70-year-old 800 square-foot home that was here., and built a beautiful 2500 square-foot home. Once the house was done, I had in my mind what I wanted as far as electronics and smart home features, and especially lighting, which to me changes the whole environment having the right lighting….. I walked into Best Buy, and I was immediately greeted by Antonio Garcia at the Palm Desert, Best Buy. If I ever doubted why I keep a total pro Best Buy membership, my interaction with Antonio erased any doubt and he affirmed to me once again why geek squad installation and all the other perks from being a total Best Buy member are worth it! Not only was he able to conceptualize the vision I was trying to share, and bring me the right products at the right price, he also customized various parts of my home theater and lighting projects, even helped me instill lighting that I had to get from another source but the geek squad installers made it happen. The home, of course, took a little longer than we thought, from the time that we placed the Best Buy order, and I was frustrated and irritated with all of the problems that get thrown at you towards the end of the construction process. Antonio was patient with me, put up with my hissy fits., and remained solution, oriented at all times. He is a busy guy with a young family., but he always makes each customer feel like they are the only customer he has. He’s great at talking you off the ledge, lol. Of the many things that impressed me about Antonio, is that he makes himself available at all times. You don’t have to call into the store and have them paged down, regardless of which store he’s at in the valley, he is prompt to respond and prompt to adjust your order or add anything on that you need. I was originally budgeting only a certain amount, but because of Antonio’s wise decisions, and only because of that, I ended up spending three times the amount I wanted, and it was worth every penny! In my younger years , I worked sales many years ago, as well as in real estate. Antonio has the kind of sales skills that sit perfectly in that sweet spot.. He guides without being pushy, he listens to what you need and offers products that match that need, and even with things that are kind of outside the box, like a mixer I wanted for my baby grand piano and some microphones to go through my speakers, he put his head down and found me a solution through Best Buy! I’ve been using Best Buy for a long time, but my experience with Mr. Garcia completely reminded me of why Best Buy really is the most economical and one stop shop. There are a lot of specialty stores that I would have to go individually to for audio, lighting speakers television., but Best Buy does it all. People are amazed at my set up., and we still have a bunch of stuff to install later this month! He turned my home into a little futuristic spaceship, lol, and made p my house which was already nice architecturally, now pop and leave a special impression due to the technology installed by Best Buy. And that’s the other thing, the crew that Antonio sent out, Tyler being one of them, are so incredibly professional, they are knowledgeable about everything that they are installing, and then some, and also they assessed my current set up, and made recommendations of how I could maximize what I already had and build upon it! Lastly, the discounts that he gave me were phenomenal. For example, I got a high-end 85 inch TV for a price that I almost couldn’t believe. I priced this particular television at other places, including Amazon., and I couldn’t get anywhere near the discounted price that Best Buy offered me by bundling everything and being a total pro member. I should also say, in the beginning when I was just thinking of having a small project, Antonio took it seriously and treated me the same as if I was doing a large project, like I did later on. I am not one to be dramatic or gush, but from start to finish, even over the course of a year, Antonio was there, from conception, to getting me the prices I needed, and then having it all expertly installed. I hope the management at Best Buy takes a moment to read this, because Antonio Garcia represents Best Buy in all of the ways that are important, and takes a personal approach, that is often lost when you purchase items through big box stores. Thank you, Antonio, and if you’re planning to do any kind of upgrades, special installations, have questions about TVs down from a small Roku TV up to high-end models, call and ask for Antonio Garcia. Been doing business with Best Buy for a long time, and Antonio puts the “Best” in Best Buy! Corny I know, but so 100% facts!

The installation was flawless neat and courteous the technician and salesperson in the store was knowledgeable and very concerned with what I wanted and how I needed it to be done. Home Consultation with Best Buy was excellent.

We needed to replace a 21 year old receiver, a blown subwoofer and needed a new TV for an updated entertainment wall unit. We were contacted by Brian Beren. We advised him of our situation. When we bought our home we had everything pre-wired for a surround sound system but that was 21 years ago. Time had taken its toll on our equipment and obviously we have come a long way during that time with bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc, etc. The thing we liked about dealing with Brian was that we gave him a budget and he was quick to work within our budget yet provide a fantastic system. The install was fantastic. The guys that came out were on time and advised us via text of their arrival, great communication. The installers were quick and professional and answered any of our questions setting everything up just as we wanted it. They found an issue with one of our in ceiling rear speakers. Talked with them again keeping money in mind and they found some fantastic replacement speakers on sale for a decent price. They were ordered and the same two guys came back out and replaced the speakers. They sent a text earlier in the morning saying they would be there by 9:04 and they drove up exactly at 9:04. Very impressive. I would recommend using this service with Best Buy.

Stress-free experience

We were unsure how surround sound speaker systems worked but Ashley was able to create a home speaker system that we love! Very professional, knowledgeable and straightforward made this an enjoyable experience

Great Service

After weeks of internet research, getting myself more and more confused, I finaly visited my local BestBuy to see some of the equipment I had been considering and speak to somebody who knew what they were talking about and boy am I glad I did. I was lucky to meet Best Buy employee Michael Pollad who took the time to explain the features of the products I was considering and ultimately steered me in a much, much better direction. I purchased a Marantz Amp and a new KEF Subwoofer and I am in heaven. I appreciate the low pressure approach and honest, informed advice I received from Michael. I also appreciate his follow-up with me to assure that I was satisfied with my purchase after I left the store. That level of customer service is rare today but it will guarantee a customer for life.

Consultation with Jeff made our project so easy

Jeff is like a personal tech concierge who synthesized my non-tech, layman’s terms explanation of what I wanted my finished project to look like, and delivered a curated list of exactly what I needed to order. He is a good listener, always looks to get me a good value, and has never made me feel sold to. I’ve worked with him on a couple of home projects now, and he is the reason I go through Best Buy for all of my home technology needs as opposed to Amazon or some other source. This particular review was for an outdoor living project that included an outdoor TV that has special requirements, the tech stack that recessed behind the TV in a fireplace, and a wired audio system that both played through my TV and synced with my in home audio system, as controlling everything through the same app was important to me.
