I was seeking to “cut the cord” and go to a mix of Internet-based and antenna based tv. The advice I got was clear, patient when I needed more detail, and was intended to help me come up with the most affordable solution for my needs.

The consultant recommended the wrong door bell camera and also failed to order the solar panel for one of the cameras. As a result , one of my cameras will die down and I will have no security of my back yard until I can get another Best Buy appointment. I had asked for an in person home consultation to avoid errors and confusion. he told me these were no longer done and he would obtain info virtually as needed by looking my house up online. However, when the installation team arrived they said this was not true. Seems had he done the in home consultation as I asked, some of these mishaps and errors could have been avoided. I generally felt like I was bothering him every time I had a question as his tone was frequently petulant and condescending. I’m very dissatisfied with this experience and that this consultant did not do his job well and as a result I am inconvenienced and my security is compromised.

Our initial consultation was great. Steven was knowledgeable, personable, and made great suggestions for our new home. Services included TV installation for 4 rooms as well smart thermostats, door locks, doorbells and lighting. Most items were installed correctly, but the wrong light switches were installed by the electrician. He also broke one of our backsplash tiles during the installation, which we were willing to overlook. We contacted our advisor about the wrong smart switches and he promised to have them corrected. However, he failed to respond to several requests to set up a time. Our recommendation to anyone using the service is to check every item very closely at the time of installation, because getting the Best Buy ream back to fix problems appears to be virtually impossible.

Before making my A/V upgrade purchase I decided to get some expert advice. My in-home consultant listened carefully to my needs and recommended the exact system for my budget. No hassles and no pressures. It was definitely the way to go.
