We built a new home and our sales consultant talked us into buying a total tech membership so we could have all of our appliances installed by “professionals.” We had so much trouble and so many delays and getting our products for our home. We purchased everything! We purchased a sound system, indoor and outdoor TVs, all appliances, washers and dryer’s, etc.. We had days when we were scheduled for a delivery and had no shows. That happened to us twice. The days that we were supposed to have products delivered we would have one product on the truck and that’s all. We had to keep contractors on site for an extra month and a half just waiting on Best Buy. Our consultant told us at one point that his Ritalin drug was wearing off and he couldn’t think right now. I have never experienced such amateurish delivery from a company like Best Buy. I had many representatives tell me they would compensate us. This never happened. We finally got the rest of our equipment in from Best Buy and had our professional electrician install our products. The professionals that delivered our products were mostly kids. Young men with zero experience. I had one young gentleman, drop the base to my washer and dryer and scratch it and dent it. Best Buy offered to send another one, but we had already waited months for these. I had one gentleman who was fantastic out of everyone. He was very professional, and always referred to me with great respect. However, he brought one young man with him one day, and this young man said he wanted to stay here and live with me in my home. My husband was not here at the time, and I felt very uncomfortable. I would not recommend Best Buy total tech membership if you are building a new home. You cannot depend on them to be timely and you cannot depend on their delivery as they have promised. The people that come to your home are a far cry from the people you see in the professional videos. The drivers would blame the sales consultant, Alex Osborn and say that he did not perform. It was obvious there was a disconnect. Again, to this date, we have not been compensated for anything we have been promised. We were promised a gift card for everything that was late. We were promised compensation by another representative that said that I needed to call him after everything was delivered. However, he did not leave his number. The number he called from was a general Best Buy number. I think Best Buy is a great company to buy little things from here and there. Enjoy your TVs etc. but do not buy the total tech membership and have your appliances installed.
