Best Appliance Buying Experience Ever

The representative was very knowledgeable on the products we were looking to purchase and most importantly, was able to see our kitchen and advise us on where we may have installation difficulties and in other cases, what makes our kitchen well suited for other choices. Both kinds of information are very helpful in assessing the total cost and disruption (or lack thereof) associated with changing out major built-in appliances. He was able to measure our cabinets and describe the kinds of modifications needed to make the new built-in oven fit. He was also able to see that the dishwasher location would enable the installer to do a relatively simple installation. The best part of the in-home consultation, however, was being able to make the purchase right there in our home, seated at a table instead of standing at a point of sale location in the store for a long period of time with the distraction of others. There are lots of options and decisions for making the purchase and being able to do so sitting down in our home made the buying experience much better.

Blown away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't rave enough about my recent experience with the Geek Squad. Jacob was the consultant that I worked to add ATMOS speakers to my home theater. He helped guide me through the selection and placement process. He also made sure that one of their most qualified installers was assigned to my job. Tim installed the speakers and was amazing. He took the extra time to minimize the holes required to run the wires. I doubt many technicians have the skills to pull off what he was able to accomplish. All work was done on time and as scheduled. I have rarely experienced such satisfying customer service. Thank you Jacob and Tim, you are another big reason why I love Best Buy so much.

Home consultant a must!

We grew up without all them fancy technology boxes and Mr Dowden was super patient, kind and accommodating. We needed a tv and he sent me descriptions of bunches. Then he sent me really nice pictures of what they looked like and I was flabbergasted. Now my room looks like a space command center or fancy, tiny little theater. He even got me the best deal instead of just trying to make a bunch of money. He will be blessed no doubt. Home consultant is the only way to go now to keep up with all these new gadgets and wizardy stuff.

Happy but not happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The man that came to my home, showed at my discretion some LG, and the ones that I saw a good review, so came to my LG over the counter range, and an LG microwave, but he tried to sell me a 500 dollar more with convection. I told Dave, that why should I need a convection microwave if I had a convection stove, and refused to buy that one and get the better one with microwave oven. I would have spent over 3000 with that microwave, and brought it down to 2200 with Microwave, dishwasher and over the counter range. I was happy with what I decided to buy, and got great price reduction on my range. When came time for the delivery, the men were not notified that I had a double oven, and the tools it would take to get it out, so my first delivery was aborted and I had to wait again for someone to deliver my products. The new team was not notified of the problem to take out my double heavy range, but the guys that came were very good and knew how to get it out, as the other guys apparently did not.

I cannot express how happy we were with Cameron. We weren't sure of the model TV or Size. Cameron took the time and discussed our options. His recommendations were spot on. He was professional, kind and very knowledgeable. He listened to us. The best part he ordered our devices and sent in the invoice. (so much better doing it at home rather than standing at a register. The best part is having a person to call with any concerns. Cameron is so patient. I am very impressed with your representative and this service.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a 27 inch microwave oven combination, i went to lowes and home depot web sit, and then went to best buy, prices seem close, but only best buy offered to come to the house and confirm the measurement and over different information on all available and when they could install...the best buy advisor was very knowledgeable and not pushy...excellent, excellant , the installation was very quick and professional and the oven combination he suggested.....thank you...i will use this service again. This is my first experience with best buy, but wont be my last....best buy needs to give a military discount

Love that Best Buy offers this service, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was a great idea. I live in an area with poor wifi service and even worse cell service. My representative was super nice and recommended a Google Mesh system, with three devices, for my 960 sf house. He indicated that the network extender that Verison recommended would probably not make a difference to my cell service. He felt that I'd even get better wifi outside and indicated that they typically serve a 3,000 sf house. He also told me that hooking one of the devices with an ethernet cord directly to my TV would improve the level of rebuffering that I experience. Well, I bought it. I guess I will never know whether I was oversold. My TV rebuffering is much improved as promised. Don't know whether I really needed three Google units. My wifi still stinks and download and upload speeds are still "fair," and do not support wifi calling, so my cell service is still awful. My subsequent research indicates that without faster wifi, it's unlikely Google mesh will make a difference and that I should have needed fewer mesh units. Bottom line: nice guy, made a recommendation, I followed it on the spot (at a $249 cost) and I'm thinking it's possible that I was oversold and will never know for sure. My suggestion: get the consultation and rather than immediately buying any recommended solution, take a deep breath and research before buying whether it's the best solution for you. The price is the same - there's no discount for buying at the time of the consultation anyway.

Outstanding service!

Christina met with us and stayed with us every step of the way over the period of eight months. I cannot give a higher recommendation for anyone. Christina was outstanding and everything she did. From helping us make the right choice for all aspects of our purchases to helping credit our account when prices for some of our products dropped. She knows every aspect of the wide variety of products that Best Buy sells. The service she provided really made us feel like we had a personal assistant for everything we did. If you need someone to help you through the process of buying new technology and appliances, I give Christina my highest recommendation.

a disappointment

We would rate him 4 stars, because, we were never told that our stainless steel refrigerator only has stainless steel on the front and a painted finish on the sides. This was quite a surprise, which I didn't realize until after the fridge was delivered and noticed when I washed the unit. Originally, we hoped to reverse the door pulls ourselves, but then decided to have an installer change them. We also decide not to have our old refrigerator hauled away. That charge should be removed from our bill. Unfortunately, Justin was on vacation and could not assist us. He did leave two contact numbers. I called each of them several times to arrange an appointment and to get a refund. They never made the appointment or refunded me. I also have questions about the finish on the sides of the door where the masking tape that was applied from the factory was adhered to the door. I would like someone to look at that. Although, we were originally happy with our experience with Best Buy, the lack of response from other representatives have tainted our feeling. Please have someone contact us to rectify these issues.

The Best Techs at Best Buy

He has an incredible knowledge of all of the products available (TVs, Amplifiers, Speakers), and the various technologies and how they all work together. The two Geek squad installation experts were just as helpful. Josh Corder and Alex Wieger were extremely efficient in setting up the TV, and then connecting it to the Denon amplifier and Bowers&Wilkens speakers I use for sound. It required them to actually go into the amplifier software and make changes to recognize the sound signal coming from the TV. All without consulting a manual. If you are going to buy a TV/Stereo/Speakers at Best Buy, I strongly recommend that you insist on talking with Che Carr, and then getting Josh and Alex to deliver and set up your system.

The order was submitted for me and everything was good. Unfortunately after things went forward there were issues. I was not informed that delivery and installation would be separate. I was told to call the store. I was on hold for 1 hr and 12 min. Before I hung up. In the meantime I was trying to chat. After 40 min. Of that, I was told the system was down and they couldn’t help. Next I called customer service for general help. That person determined there was no installation scheduled. Had to set up again. I did contact my sales advisor, Adam who found the installation had been cancelled!! Why or by whom not known. Strangely that happened 1 hour after delivery, I am trying to find out if the installation kit is coming. So far, 2 people I have asked have not responded. If they can’t install because they don’t have it I will be livid. I’m tired.

Ed Caufield did a great job of determining what we needed to reach our goal. The technicians that stalled the equipment were good as well. The Sonos app and some of the apps on the TV are not simple to use or figure out. The Geek Squad techs that pick up the online need help. Out of the last six times, I have started a chat with them, they have disconnected me three times. You can't talk to a supervisor. They argue with me and give me grief if they can't reach me by phone. Well, can't help the phone issue. It goes to voice mail a lot. They will call me several times and the phone will still go to voice mail. I've had my phone checked.

Great tech service, but ordering the part was not
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad did a great job of replacing a part in our newly purchased Samsung tv that was giving us a problem with audio. Nicholas and his associate arrived on time and completed the task with no problems. They were also very helpful in answering my questions relative to the issue. I rated their service excellent, but I would be remiss if I did not mention my bad experience in getting the part. After I called in to discuss the problem, the part apparently was not ordered. After it did not arrive as scheduled, I made a couple of calls. The part got "reordered" the following week, but then it was sent to the wrong address in another state. Finally, with help from the folks at our local Best Buy store, the part eventually arrived and the Geek Squad did their job....which is why I rated their service as Excellent. What should have been completed in about 7 to 10 days took over three weeks, so that part was very disappointing.
