Not every store has a solid team of techs like this but this store is the perfect example of why I have shopped at Best Buy. Don’t go through the phone number as that is national call centers and they are not helpful- GO into THIS store and you will be happy.

Her product knowledge with appliances is unmatched! As a person with multiple residences as I care for my aging parents in two states, Rendee has helped me keep their kitchen and laundry appliances in fine working condition, giving me peace of mind knowing that my family is in good hands. Even outside of appliances, she presents well researched proposals, and has helped me buy everything from a custom built workstation computer assembled by the GeekSquad, to future solutions for my A/V needs. A rare bespoke personal shopping experience from a big box store!

Great group of guys

Our experience started with a young man who referred us to Frank Delgado who knew the differences in the appliance and answered our questions politely and in a friendly manner. He even came to our house and measured the area to ease our anxiety about whether the dishwasher would fit in the space we had. Our dishwasher was delivered two days later by two technicians who definitely knew what they were doing--they were quick and efficient and friendly. Since we were "geek squad" members, we received free delivery and free "take away" of our old dishwasher. What a surprise! And this surprise benefit was pointed out to us by the Best Buy employees. What a great group of guys!

Great tech service, but ordering the part was not
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad did a great job of replacing a part in our newly purchased Samsung tv that was giving us a problem with audio. Nicholas and his associate arrived on time and completed the task with no problems. They were also very helpful in answering my questions relative to the issue. I rated their service excellent, but I would be remiss if I did not mention my bad experience in getting the part. After I called in to discuss the problem, the part apparently was not ordered. After it did not arrive as scheduled, I made a couple of calls. The part got "reordered" the following week, but then it was sent to the wrong address in another state. Finally, with help from the folks at our local Best Buy store, the part eventually arrived and the Geek Squad did their job....which is why I rated their service as Excellent. What should have been completed in about 7 to 10 days took over three weeks, so that part was very disappointing.

Good consult and mostly decent install BUT.....

And for full disclosure I have first hand experience with installing my own in-ceiling/in-wall speakers, running cable, mounting TV's, etc. so I am not a complete novice. My in home installation job consisted of hanging 2 TV's, installing outdoor patio speakers, in ceiling kitchen speakers and in ceiling bathroom speakers and setting up our home theater systems in both the living room and bedroom all with wire concealment. First, the in home consultant Steven was a 5 - knowledgeable, friendly and worked up a great deal on equipment and installation of everything. The actual installation and crew was a mix. When they arrived the first words out of the main crew leader's mouth was "we can't do this, we won't do...." and "you should have been told..." He told me that they couldn't install my in ceiling speakers because I lived in a 2 story house and the speakers were on level 1 with no attic access. He said "typical sales, they need to bring one of us on the estimate"... I pointed out that I have had this done several times in previous houses so it can be done ....he said we needed open ceiling joists or open ceilings and they wouldn't or weren't allowed to cut any sheet rock holes other than for the speakers which wouldn't allow them to run the wires as they would cross joists. One of the other installers said that 90% of all the houses they work on are 1 story... (I found that to be a suspect statement in and of itself). I pointed out that probably half the houses in the U.S. were 2 story and most are probably not new construction which would make his statements either not true or eliminate at least half of the jobs they could or would do. . When it came to the living room installation of my Bose LS650 system I was told they couldn't run the wires for the rear speakers and why didn't I just by a Sonos Arc like I did for my bedroom and eliminate the need for that. I pointed out that while that sounds great I had no intention of throwing away a $4K HT system and spend another $2k+ just for his convenience. He also said they had no speaker tracks to conceal wires on the wall as they weren't sold to me with the rest of everything else and they didn't carry that stuff on the truck (even though I would have paid for them right there). There was also grumbling about the patio speaker wires not being able to be hidden and having to drill thru the exterior wall. I pointed out that I was fine with that and didn't expect those wires to be behind the wall. I pointed out to them that ANYTHING can be done, it was just a matter of cost and what they were capable of or willing to do. After some consternation and a phone call to Steven, they came back in and started on the TV mounts and wire conceal for those. I began talking with one of the other installers and we together started coming up with solutions for the wire install (along baseboards, along outdoor molding, etc.) In the end they mounted my TV's, hooked up and connected my system in the bedroom and living room as well as getting the speakers connected outside in an acceptable way. They left the kitchen and bathroom ceiling speakers uninstalled and in the boxes. I will have to call another more detailed home theater installer to do those. BEWARE - in wall or speaker wire concealment is not part of the equation unless it runs vertically between 2 studs or they can drag the wire across an open attic to the ceiling below and any in ceiling speaker install will be impossible in an exiting 2 story home (not impossible but they won't do it). In the end I am ok with the work that was done - wires mostly hidden along moldings, baseboards, etc. I also made nice with the installers and they were for the most part very nice, professional and helpful (lead guy once we got past the "We can't, we won't, not possible..." attitude and started talking about what they "would do" or "could do"). I give it a 3 as it was a mixed bag and could have been better. I still have 2 sets of speakers that I have to call someone else out to install and even the lead guy admitted that if this were his house "here's how I would do it... we're just not allowed" So some of the experience was a 5 and some was a 1 - overall a 3.

Definitely schedule an in home consultation!

The stress of making the best decisions for our project was eliminated. Measurements were taken to ensure all appliances would fit properly and our consultant truly listened and heard our preferences. With that, our consultant provided excellent suggestions on products and features which resulted in our being very very happy with all four of our appliance choices. If allowed we would like to thank and recommend Brandon Becker for in home consultation.

2-in-1 microwave purchase and install

I originally went into the store to purchase a range hood. I got to looking and was very interested in the 2-in-1 microwave. It also serves the purpose of the fan and also has a light. He didn’t push the most expensive one on me. As a matter of fact he recommended the one that was a little cheaper than what I was originally looking at. He got it ordered and the install set up for me. I couldn’t be happier.

Oversold but happy.

This was the first time we used the home consultation service which was also fine except the salesman oversold us with products we really didn't need but could afford. We purchased the large Sonos sound bar which cost as much as the T.V. when there were two smaller options we could have purchased for the small room it was being used in. However we were unaware of the other options until we made another trip to Best Buy. Also, we purchased the $200.00 remote control that the installer told us we didn't need as well. Because money wasn't an issue I felt taken advantage of. I trusted what he told us would be best but that was not the case. However, we do love the equipment, and it's just a matter of ethics with me.

Finally A Complete Installation

Luke was very efficient and knowledgeable regarding the work I wanted done. The orders he created were thorough with the exception of concealing a Frame TV wire. He set up the installation appointments for me. So I would rate him a 4+ stars. Would give Geek Squad 3 starts because it took 5 visits from different Geek Squad teams to complete the installation. And calling Geek Squad for appointments was frustrating because if there is no code for the problem the details of the appointment were incorrect. I discovered this when the the Geek Squad lead called to confirm the work to be done. It was sometimes different from what actually needed to be done. Anyway, i have no problem recommending the in home consultation. Customers need perseverance to make sure the installation is completed. The Home Theater installation started in late January and was completed March 4.

She allows me to text her with questions and anything I needed changed or returned she was so flexible and relaxed about it! Her customer service skills are out of this world especially in this age of not even being able to talk to a person on the phone anymore! With Savanah I can always reach her and I have started to ask her questions about other products and a services as a result of the trust we built. It’s so nice to have a go to person for tech! Also we love our rings cameras and feel so safe now!

Excellent Best Buy Service and Geek Squad Instal

We were upgrading our TV and sound system and he answered all our questions. We even traded in one TV for another when the first didn't fit as well in our TV room. The Designer arranged all of that. The Geek Squad folks, led by Gianni, were beyond wonderful; smart, careful, very knowledgeable. Overall, outstanding.

Glen B. provided an exceptional detailed evaluation at our home. He was very professional and personable in developing a detailed plan and allowed us to make an informed decision without pressuring us. He handled the whole process includiong scheduling 2 different Grrek Squad in-home installations, and followed up on our experience. This is best purchasing & Geek Squad support experience we've ever had From Best Buy!!!

I decided, after looking at the 83 inch LG OLED TV that I wanted to upgrade from my current Sony Bravia. I contacted Jon to work with him again. The reason is Jon is professional and he is very knowledgeable regarding all the home theater product lines Magnolia sells. I opted to buy the LG 83 inch TV along with the LG 70 sound bar. WOW, what a perfect combination for an excellent Audio Visual experience!! The service and installers [especially Seth] did a great job installing and calibrating the system. The LG system went well beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Jon Gray in Magnolia sales if you are in the market for home theater equipment.

Good recommendations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had a problem setting up our new TV with our sound system that the Geek squad discovered so they suggested we get an in home consultation to try and solve the problem. We were very happy with Neville and the suggestions he made. He went above and beyond to try and make sure that we were happy with the solution and came back when we encountered another problem. He took it upon himself to find a way to make everything work without having to set up another appointment with the Geek squad. He gave us such great customer service that we decided to also have him suggest a few laptops since we were in the market of purchasing a new one. He sent me an email with different choices and prices and after speaking with him about a few things, I had him order me an Apple Macbook Pro. It was so much easier than going to the store and trying to figure out what to get! Would definitely recommend Neville if needing an in home consultation! He's prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with!

Geek Squad Personnel Were Wonderful

The in-home tech people were excellent. Just really excellent. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Our only "beef" was that it took six weeks between the time of purchase and the installation due to lack of staff. That is not the fault of the tech people who finally were able to make it to our home. They were great. Hire more Geek Squad techs if you can, Best Buy. Your customers should not have to wait six weeks from purchase to installation.

Best Buy Consultant did a perfect job

Making the right choices was proving to be very difficult because of the space limitations. So I called for a consultation and Santiago Restrepo did an outstanding job - selected beautiful appliances that fit perfectly and saved me $$$. Santiago also helped to resolve a delivery problem we experienced. Professional & Excellent Service!

After interacting with them at the store, they came to my house to assess my present set-up and re-explore my needs. This resulted in a modification of my original plans and a better understanding of how relatively newer technology would impact my needs and selection of products. When they returned for the installation of the new equipment, they were efficient, unrushed and took the time to make sure that everything was working as intended before leaving. They left me with their contact details were I to experience any issue.

James was a superstar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I worked with James Monteleone from the Greensboro, NC store over the last 8 months in helping me design our tech (tv, wall mounts, internet support for a house we were building and have now moved into in Florida. James help was invaluable making sure that we had the necessary wifi power to run everything we had in the house including a tv mounted outside. And with respect to the mount, James moved mountains to ensure that I got the mount I needed to watch to tv from the patio or the pool. James and the whole Best Buy team did a great job making sure I had the right technology at a great price and no stress.
