    Home security system and lighting

    I needed help with getting a home internet system that would eliminate the dead zones in my home. I also needed security cameras and lights that would take care of every area of my home outdoors. Nick walked me through everything, and we came up with a plan. I just need a few more things and I will be set. Thanks, Nick, for coming through for me; so far, I am truly pleased.

    Better if they would come out for consultation

    It would be better for them to come out to home for consultation instead of just trying to figure it out over the phone. It took two consultations before we got it right. Well we are installing the second unit this weekend so we will see how it goes.

    They project is not complete, Tech said he would be back last Tuesday but did not show up.

    Andy helped us with our home theater set up and getting faster Wi-Fi for streaming and using our devices. He is professional, very knowledgeable, and will come up with a plan to create the best solution for your tech needs. We are extremely satisfied with how Andy solved our issues in our home.     My consultant didn't follow up with proposal, pricing or anything. I understand scheduling issues may have been a part of it once, but for every interaction, I had to initiate contact, even to ask for the quote, and with the understanding I wanted to move quickly on the cameras (ie guaranteed sale!). It was disappointing enough that I seriously considered moving on to another camera provider. On top of everything else, based on the recommendation, I purchased the wrong camera and only found d out it was the wrong camera when a tech came out to install it. Again, the consultant was suppose to prevent this. Th mixed was settled in the store by very capable employees, but it should not have come to that.

    It was fair. The tech came out to test my internet speed. He came in and immediately told me I needed a mesh network without even testing the internet speed. I insisted and only then did he do it. Not sure I would use it again. Seems like it's just a way to push product.

    I had a great in home consultation for Atmos system in bedroom.I was impressed by knowledge of rep. The process faded after that. Next step was to get quote. This quote, from Magnolia, was a good bit above my limit. Seemed to be a generic quote not connected in any way to discussions at consult. I gave my budget and asked for a re-quote. Asked for eta on quote completion- no reply. In meantime, got offer from other vendor which I went with. I finally got a quote after Magnolia- after I committed with other vendor. The quote did not have any lines for labor and install. I’m surprised by my experience. I was an easy sale- there to be had. From reviews- read most were happy with experience. Guess I got unlucky

    Poor communication and unreliable installatio

    I bought TV, and all the smart homes from google. Starting from doorbell, camera, thermostat, smoke, doorlock and etc. This month I easily spend $4,000 at Bestbuy. I have a very good experience buying in bestbuy for more than 10 years. But this time its just too much. The in home consultation was ok. But when i bought the installation service from bestbuy for all the lock, door, camera and thermostat. And thats when things pretty much turn to nightmare. The installation was scheduled thursday (07/18) 8am. The 3rd party called saying they made a mistake and scheduled it for (07/19) 8am, and shortly called again to change again to 12-4pm. And lastly changing again to saturday. This was frustrating to me since i spent alot of time just waiting because they had 4 hour windows on each appointment. But for me the most disappointing part is where it was very hard to communicate with bestbuy customer service, i kept getting transferred without solution. Called the store in bellevue, WA they only tell me that they going to call me back. Which no one did. The worst was when i finally had it and visited the bellevue, WA branch where i bought the items. Met with the GM and the sales manager danny. He told me he will help me because i spent alot of money in their store, he told me he understood how frustrated i am and will call me back at 2pm. Waiting till 4pm didnt get an answer finally i called my in home consultant rodney to cancel my installation service. Today (07/27) while returning a defective august smarlock, i met danny the sales manager. And mentioned to him that he didnt call me back, suprisingly he was very defensive and start to justify and blaming my cancellation of installation service as me not giving him a chance to solved it. I told him, he said he was going to call at 2pm saturday (07/20), and it was nearly 4pm no call. And I had been told by install inc, and best buy staff over the past 3 days about calling back so I was Frustrated. Thats why i decided to cancel. But it was nice being told It was not right for me to come in to the store and being rude. When actually i was just stating a fact that im disappointed that he didnt call me to inform me of anything. So to summarize my experience was horrible, i didnt get installation done, spend lots of time waiting, calling and finally being told rude and blamed for something that I actually paid for. So Best buy, I love your store and the product you have. But it was heartbreaking how your staff is treating me.

    Follow through is lacking

    Utilized consulting for advice and equipment. Bought suggested items and had them installed. Install was performed on May 14. One exception to the install was the rear speakers for the theater room. They could not be mounted as they are too big for holders and do not have a key hole for hanging. Installers called consultant on the day of install to let him know. It’s May 21 and still have not heard from the consultant who was supposed to call me on May 16 to figure out the next steps. This is frustrating...paid for items that can’t be used based on Best Buy suggestion...and no word from them.
