    He was well-informed knowledgeable the last guy I spoke to seven years ago probably ruined it for this guy. The last guy you had under employee was by far the best sales person generally just great person I have dealt with.

    Consult / Install Home Theatre beyond expectations

    In home consulting and installation was beyond my expectations. The knowledge, expertise and professional engagement DJ Boxold and his teammate were right on point. After assessing my space, made several key suggestions, which I agreed to and all were great. They helped me create an even better viewing and listening space than I envisioned. Thanks guys!!

    Very poor consultation vs professional manager

    We purchased a stackable washer and dryer, nest thermostat and ring doorbell all at once. Patrick came out in advance and said everything would fit and work. Washer and dryer: the dryer power cord was too short. We had to buy a longer one (amazon) because B.B. did not stock one. Ring: this was to be hardwired. There was one previously installed and the wire was sticking out already. Patrick and the salesman were told it was to be hardwired. It was installed below the wire, not hardwired, wire remained sticking out. Nest: We have a 4 wire furnace system and were sold a 5 wire nest. It was wired incorrectly, furnace did not go on. All 3 of these things were remedied by the Roseville store manger after 2 more visits to the store and 3 more visits by techs. Patrick should have known about all 3 of these things. He was in and out of the condo quickly and when the furnace was not working he could not be reached and did not return the call. As a side note why Best Buy does not stock a longer power cord for a stackable dryer is beyond me. Installers said this was an "ongoing" issue. This in NOT a criticism of the personalities of any of the installers or techs. They were friendly and polite. The store manager was highly responsive and professional.

    Service came with great reviews, but between extra charges, and trying to sell me more than asked not looking good. Originally a $15,000 purchase, and they wouldnt start because a $200 tv was not in stock! Now out a month and a half. Stay tuned!

    I thought the point of the while in home consultation was that your product was guaranteed to fit. I understand we have a tough to fit enclosure for a double oven. But when the consultant said it’d fit, I assumed he “measured twice”. Come to find out the instal team (who said they had nothing to do with Best Buy) said that the Best Buy folks aren’t the best at “measuring” and I’m left with a gap. I emailed my “consultant” and his solution is for me to find a contractor to install wood and stain it to match my cabinet. What!? Since it was purchased and the install team was there, not much I could do. Not to mention they were 3 hours late as it was. All in all, wish I had my old oven back.... that fit.

I suggest reaching out to your local Best Buy store to see if they can help you find an over that will fit better and set up an exchange for you.

    Appliance Consultation

    We were shopping for appliances at our local store, and the sales rep told us he could set us up with a free consultation to come out and see if certain appliances would work for us - so we said sure why not. The initial visit went well, what we wanted would work with our house and he ordered them for us. He told us he was the go to contact if we needed anything else. So we decided that maybe we wanted to add on the dishwasher - we chatted via text for a few minutes, I told him what we were interested in, he asked me which specific dishwasher we liked, and then heard nothing back? We ended up going into the store and working with an associate and a manger to get us what we needed.

    Highly recommend In-Home Consultation

    We used the in-home consultant to help us outfit our new home with televisions and Sonos sound systems. He tailored his recommendations to our viewing and listening wants. He was very knowledgeable about the products and made suggestions along the way. He was very responsive to our questions via text and phone calls. This service and the high caliber of the consultants, made the process easy and stress free. We have now used this service in PA and CA and have had positive experiences in both locations. Well done Best Buy!

    How can I trust that Beat Buy will do the job?

    I was looking at a news home alarm system and updated so is products plus some miscellaneous items. Home consult and yet buying products and getting appointment locked down was incredibly frustrating. No times and no feedback as to when, one month - two ..seven. I even went to other Best Bit to try and help. Purchased products from others (over $3G) and installed myself and hired others since no response from B.Buy....very disappointing. The most amazing is that no one else called to ask/follow up or anything. How much biz goes elsewhere due to similarly situated issues.

    Aree was really knowledgeable but once she made the sale and earned her commission, she completely ghosted me and left me hanging with a lot of issues. I will never buy from Aree again.

    This seemed like such a great idea while in the store being told of the free service I get as an elite member. Let me start with the positives. She arrived on time, and gave me a courtesy call prior to her arrival. She price matched everything I asked. Now let's move on to the negatives. Not knowledgeable of the products unless she was reading her screen. This was a huge red flag for me. If you're coming to my house to consult about thousands of dollars worth of products, wouldn't you want to know a but about what you're selling?? I was told that this person specialized in what I wanted. Over suggested most items. It's no surprise that someone in sales would want to sell you more than you need. I was caught up in the moment of want vs need and said yes to almost everything suggested. After sitting down and thinking rational about my overall purchase, I realized that I purchased 3 times what I ACTUALLY needed and now have to return. Misinformed me about how the install process goes. Wrong address given for installation. I specified which house it needed to be at (plus she came there so you'd think it would be a no brainer). Wrong time frame given. I was given a 4 hour window when it was actually 6. The day of my first installation date, the geek squad guy called and said he was on his way. It was very early in the morning and about 3 hours prior you my "starting time" of when I was told. The rep then explained what was needed and asked a few more questions so he could be 100% prepared. When we were about halfway thru, he stopped and was fighting back his disappointed laughter and told me that "this is not how it works". He then apologized for the consultants misinformation and told me to reschedule. I had taken a day off work and had planned this for about 3 weeks. So, make sure to ask as many questions prior and after having an in house consult. After sending an entire day not working, and having to return a good portion of my order, I asked the store maneuver that the rep not be permitted to work with me from that point on. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 due to the price match.

    The consultation is okay but I was supposed to receive the recommendations for products mentioned in the consultation but never did. So it didn’t lead to any results that I was looking for in the end

    Two Months and I Still Didn’t Get a Proposal

    We needed help with a whole home audio system, a home theater and whole home WiFi for a house we are building. In total we were looking at a mid five figure job. We met with the representative, walked through the whole house, and were told we would receive a quote in a couple of days. We did not hear anything for over a week, and repeated attempts to reach the person we met with went unanswered. Then about two weeks after we received the consultation, I got a call from the representative saying that they had been sick but would get the quote to me in the next couple of days. A week later I still hadn’t heard anything, and then I got a call from another person saying they would need to come out to the house to walk through our requirements. This was completely confusing because that was the purpose of the first meeting. We do not live where we were building, so we were not going to make another trip down just to meet with them a second time. I told him he could walk through the house and call me with any questions. Again I didn’t hear anything for another month, until I received a call from the first person we met with asking if I had received the quote and had any questions. They also said the other person had been trying to reach me and I wasn’t responding. Except that I hadn’t received a proposal nor had anyone reached out me. So here I was - two months after the first meeting - and still hadn’t received a proposal. Needless to say by this time I had made the decision to go with another company. I really hope my experience is not typical, but given the lack of responsiveness to just get a bid, there was no way I was going with them for a job this size.

    Our consultant got us very confused because she heard what I was interested in and then went on her agenda. She seemed very knowledgeable but way over the heads of us. We might be ready for some of her suggestions in the future.

    The process to select our new appliances in our home was amazing and very smooth. He showed up on time, was very nice, listened to our concerns and made a recommendation and gave us a few options. I would absolutely buy appliances this way again. He was helpful from the initial visit to making sure the appliances were delivered and installed.

    The consultant was very nice and punctual. I was working with him on home security system. I unfortunately had to guide the conversation. I had done my homework but we missed a couple of key items. I felt as If I was pushed into warranties that weren’t necessary. Missed two doors that needed alarms. The set up was scheduled in two different appointments on the same day and caused a lot of confusion amongst the installers. Ultimately, I didn’t get all of what I needed. No I will have to go purchase more equipment and install it myself since I’ve already paid the installers, lots of unnecessary warranties and equipment.

    I felt the consultation wasnt really flexible in the suggestions made, it was more of a single option only, said I need this and nothing else! I wanted multiple options didn't feel like I was any more confident of what to do than before the consultation
