    In-home consultation was a joke

    In-home consultation was a complete joke. In my view, the purpose of the in-home consultation is to ensure that the installation goes smoothly and there are no hidden charges. Yet, this was not at all the case for me. The consultation was a complete waste of my time and added nothing to the in-store discussion with the sales person. When the installer came, he said that he needed to replace my gas valve and he charged me $200 on top of what I had previously paid Best Buy for the installation. The worst part is that I was told he would leave if I did not make the additional payment to him, at a time when I had to take the day off to tend to the installation.

    I’m pretty sure i got lost in the shuffle. Whether it was over extending the tech or something else I would like to have the appointment scheduled

    In home consult felt like it went well. After that, the follow up meeting with the geek squad, the ones who would actually do the work was a disastrous waste of time.

    What we weren't expecting at all

    We are disappointed your sales and tech install departments are disconnected. Very poor communication with regards scheduling changes. At purchase it was believed as presented a smooth process with a 1,2,3 appointment install. There was no mention of the installer as a "third party contractor", at sales point it was presented as a best buy staff installer. That would be coming to our home for part of the install order. When we started this purchase it has taken a month to complete. I felt once our order was paid for we were invisible and didn't matter treated as Seniors who are difficult and confused. We did buy the total tech package but i don't expect much from that. Lastly I have little confidence in getting any customer service satisfaction. I could go on and on for this only scratches the surface. I feel it would be futile.

    Gives you basic information on smart home and offers to send a tech out to hook everything up for an additional fee but not much information how one can self install everything.

    We didn’t get a phone call from driver before they delivered they came when it was pouring and had an attitude , fair only because one driver was somewhat rude and with attitude but all was done right in the end

    No one showed up for first appointment. Had to call multiple times and talk to various people to get it rescheduled for weeks later. THAT appointment was cancelled. Had to call again to get it back on the calendar. Technicians were nice enough but installed TV way too high on the wall and not perfectly centered.

    THE T.V IS GREAT BEEN STUDING IT A LONG TIME I OWN SONYS THIS IS A 65 INCH MINI LEDS THE INSTALLATION WAS SO POOR! HE DID NOT NO HOW TO PUT A MANTLE MOUNT IN PUT IT ON BACKWARDS SCRATCHED MY WOODEN FIRE PLACE WOODEN MANTLE OTHER GUY SEEN HIM DO IT AND HE DID NOT SAY A WORD! THE OTHER GUY TOLD ME AFTER HE LEFT HAD TO CALL OTHER PEOPLE WAS IN A TREMENDOUS HURRY! I EVEN HAD ALL THE STUDS MARKED WE DID THE ELECTRICAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLUG AND PLAY TOLD A MANAGER THERE FOUR TIMES SAID WE HAVE INSURANCE NEVER DID A THING I COULD NOT GET AHOLD OF CORPERATE ITS LIKE THEY DONT WANT YOU TO AND I GUARANTEE THIS WILL NOT GO ANY WHERE FOR ALL THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT THERE WHAT A SHAME AND I WAS THINKING ABOUT ANOTHER T.V PLEASE

    We had just bought a new house and they prior owner had left some speakers in the living room. Chris did a great job explaining all our options to get them to work for the surround sound but also other options that did not need the speakers. Was very helpful.

    Disconnect between home consultant & installers

    Originally I thought the home consultant did a good job. However when the Geek Squad installers came they said the AT&T cable was not long enough. The consultant measured it and felt it was fine. They also said consultant ordered an HDMI cable which was too short and they had to run back to store to get another one. All in all because of this and a few other discrepancies the install took too long and they had to leave without properly showing me how to use the system.

    Everything ok as far as tv is concerned, sound bar

    Everything ok as far as TV set up, sound bar is not appropriate. Replacement has been ordered and will be replaced. Good people, personable, knowledgeable.

    There in-home consultation was only somewhat useful. They helped me figure out what would be the more ideal type of appliance I would need to for into the spaces I had in the kitchen

    I purchaed a $3K downward draft stove. The delivery/install was botched. It was supposed to be a custom install. Two guys came and plugged it it. No work on the fan underneath (they just left it on the counter). I had to hire a contractor to do the work. I was willing to pay for it with Best Buy, but they never ccaled back with a solution.

    I need assistance to select a wine and beverage refrigerator so I contacted our consultant, Lou. His recommendation was spot on. The fridge is great, exactly what I needed! The service Lou provided was excellent, and he made the entire process super easy.

    My consultant was very nice and seemed knowledgeable but the estimate we received was vague. I would have liked to know the options recommended and differences between brands.

    Overall Experience - "F"

    Ordered refrigerator, trim kit, microwave, trim kit, and installation for both. Installation of fridge a disaster. 1st attempt, they did not have enough guys to install. 2nd attempt, it was determined fridge did not fit so had to take off cabinet doors and now have to get doors shaved to replace at additional cost. Freezer door also squeeks when opening. GE repair came and tried to fix, but 2 weeks later - still squeeks. Microwave not much better. After several rescheduling issues, 1st installation attempt it was determined microwave was damaged when taken out of box so had to return. 2nd attempt the microwave did not fit into the space required and now determined that there are no microwave's sold that will fit. The consultant admitted he did not measure the depth of the microwave. Ultimately had to return microwave and trim kit to get a credit. All the while, I put all of these purchases on a Best Buy credit card and despite taking several months to get the merchandise and get installed, interest was building up at 25% even on those items I ultimately returned. Probably the worst customer experience I have ever had and would recommend going elsewhere for your appliance purchases.

    Kyle knows his stuff!

    Kyle was the BEST! Our system sounds incredible and was super responsive, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Kyle is very easy to work with and knows the products inside and out, worked just like he promised. We installed a full Sonos system and could no be happier!
