    I needed advice for a new smart TV and to link to an internal speaker system. Santana listened and expertly guided me through making selections that suit my location. In home consultation is the ultimate level of customer service for a senior citizen.

    Very nice guy. My only problem is the tv he recommended and I purchased is not sufficient..need a larger one. Disappointed in the one I have

    Site survey was a joke!

    Salesman suggested a site survey as we were not sure how many security cameras we need to to cover our property. The day of the survey, the gentleman called and asked we were wanting. I told him we needed someone to look at the property and how many cameras would be needed and placement as we had a detached garage and a small office building on property. He asked what the house square footage was and then said how many cameras we would need. I asked him about placement. He told me that he could not suggest any placement for coverage just the number needed. I asked him if that is all he would do when he showed up, tell us the number needed. He said yes, and that we needed 4 total. I told him if that was all he would do, not to come and waste my time.

    Bill Crocker was my key representative from Best Buy, and gave me a very effective and satisfying solution to my home equipment needs. He was also available for a lot of my follow up questions, and responded promptly and in a very personable manner.

    Poor Installation Effort

    Unfortuantely Best Buy did an in-home consultation to install some security cameras in our home and we agreed to a price. When the install crew (2 people) came out it was obvious they didnt want to complete the install. It required them to climb through our attic which has tight spaces but can be navigated, as our in-home adviser stated...because she did look in our attic. The install crew also mentioned that they had 5 more calls to do the same day and that our install was going to take 5 hours...this was all known BEFORE the crew came out. Bottomline is that Best Buy failed to deliver on their install quote. They refunded the costs however we have lost about 5 hours of our own time dealing with this situation. Very disappointed in the experience since we are total tech support members and carry Best Buy Elite Plus status. This is a very large blemish on what was, up to this point, a fairly positive record from Best Buy. We are now forced to look elsewhere for our needs.

    I spent about two hours in the store, looking at all of the possible TV’s and sound systems. I received an education from the salesman. I then went to the BestBuy’s Internet site, and reviewed possible 55 inch TVs and the different price ranges. When the Best Buy geek squad member came to my house, I could discuss my options intelligently with him. I was guided by the in-home advisor to look at other options. My final decision was to buy a 65 inch TV and a mid-price sound bar

    Not overly pleased with the Consultation. I felt I knew as much as the Tech. He was more interested in running up the bill rather than giving me what I wanted.

    We purchased an Arlo security System, and returned it because it was defective. So we purchased a Nest system (a month ago), we were assured it was a better product. My system took 4 visits to install and we still have to have another visit. We are working around your system not ours. My husband and I took off 4 days of work and now have to take off another day of work for the 5th visit. We have lost about 800.00 in pay, and still do not have a security system that is working properly. It does not record, it takes still pictures at best. I had someone walk across my property and walk back to the next door drive way and nothing was recorded. My mail man was in my driveway to drop off a box and again nothing was recorded. The communication is horrible, and the service is poor at best. My husband was home on a Saturday (he was offered overtime for a job, but turned it down because we were told the service man would be here between 12-4PM) my husband called the service guy at 4:30 and he said he was on his way. My husband could have worked on Saturday and lost $240.00 in pay for not being available because he waited for a serviceman who didn't even bother calling to say he would be late. Very inconsiderate and poor customer service. Oh and our TV installation from months ago, no one ever responded to us regarding the broken entertainment center, your service man broke.

    Very knowledgeable and pleasant experience. He checked our existing cooktop dimensions and determined that the one we wanted to buy would fit and went ahead and placed the order and we set up a delivery date. Delivery and installation went well.

    Thomas was friendly, helpful, snd knowledgeable. If he was not sure not sure a out an answer to my questions, he sought support from others in his field or above his expertise. If i need any tech in the future i will always ask for him to assist

    The technician was very nice. He did listen and gave me some ideas. He was to follow up and help me pick equipment. But after his visit I could never reach him again.

    The in-home consultation was on-time and friendly, but mostly devoted to adding on extras of dubious value - warranties, extended warranties, extended extended warranties, Geek Squad support, etc. It was similar to the old days when car sales people added undercarriage corrosion treatments and racing stripes to vehicles. In store associates probably could have done the 'consultation' in a single more efficient exercise.

    While the service was good by Kristen, Best Buy was not able to get the model that would have fit our needs. Tonight (4-12) I had to turn down the recommendation and will look at other vendors for the AC that we need.

    Kendrick was very helpful in determining what I needed for the sound system in my yoga studio. He asked all the right questions and watched for my needed items to go on sale and saved me a lot of money! Excellent customer service experience!

    Home Consult On Making Home Smarter

    My consolation asked me before we started addressing anything what my plans were. From there she gave me advice where I could start and potentially where I could go. As questions arose all were answered. Also never felt pushed into anything. Simply was given the information both verbally and through email later. I have started the process of making my home smarter.

    The agent did a great job installing but did not do a good job cleaning up afterwards. I had to pickup and vacuum speaker wire and nails.

    Tyler was great in the beginning. He made a nice sale from our home during the remodeling phase. He was responsive during the process. However, once the project was completed we ran into a few issues and we were not able to get a hold of him. Despite calling and texting, he started to ignore us and not take the issues we were facing seriously. We had the issue escalated but it seemed Best Buy only cares about you while they’re trying to sell you stuff. Once it’s completed, good luck you’re on your own! I was expecting more as part of their customer service so it did leave a bad taste in my mouth and will not work with them again for future needs.

    Reached out and followed up several times to make adjustments to our home theater plan with no followup. Tried to work with consultant to save time and hassle but nothing was done and ended up spending a couple hours in the store waiting for system updates so we could take the products we already paid home. Even had to wait a full day once to be able to bring home the items we paid for. Pretty much zero help from consultant once the money was exchanged. Not the type of experience I’d put myself or any family or friends through. We were planning on doing all of our appliances and audio/video for the home through Best Buy but the experience made it clear we won’t be going back.
