    In home consultation.

    The whole process has been a mess! My order was placed on the 20th of December and my install date was today January 8th 2021. First problem, install date was supposed to be December 26th so I had friends come in and move a heavy wall unit right before Christmas. I unloaded the wall unit and put everything in boxes. I disconnected all my stereo components and moved my existing TV to a spare bedroom to get it out of the way and was ready for the 26th appointment. Then my appoinrment was changed to January eight. So today the installers came and determined that everything was wrong. They were not able to do anything. They said they were going back to the store and get back to me before the end of the day with the new recommendations. Have not heard from them yet. I've been in a mess for 3 weeks! The in-home consultation was a waste of time. And the young man who came to do the consultation stoped communicating with me . Bad.

    We got really outstanding customer service from Ismael. He gave us really good suggestion on which appliance best fits our need and budget. He helped us schedule the appliance delivery.

    I was surprised to see Marcus sending thank you email? No follow through, no communication, practically had to beg him to spend my money. I appreciated Best Buy follow up, but the sales folks make using them incredibly difficult.

    Looking to upgrade a 2nd TV. I was hoping to mount a tv, but doesn’t appear my older home will be in line with what I could get from Best Buy. I didn’t really get any additional suggestions beyond what I was thinking. Tech seemed to dismiss my latest Tv purchase for a different room as “basic”, etc. I’m older and not a gamer or movie fanatic so I didn’t want looking to drop several thousands of dollars for the most advanced technology. What I got was still quite advanced over previous non- smart tv. Im still frustrated on the lack of consistency with Apple play on latest tv. Maybe it’s my wifi, but I didn’t get much additional troubleshooting support, etc. I’ve gotten better service in the store.

    The TV is not very good. Very slow to work. I bough wifi booster and this does not help at all. Waste of money!

    Terrible consultant, terrible service

    Our expert was not helpful at all. He came in for a consultation and everything seemed like it would be fine. He recommended products to us and we were told that they would work in our apartment. Come installation day, the washer/dryer he recommended doesn't work and when trying to contact him for a week, he completely ignores us. We called and texted him multiple times to figure out what was going on and we never got a response. When calling Best Buy, they told us that our consultant would call us back, and he never did. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. It's been a week, and we also got a microwave installed and now that has stopped working. So this consultant has recommended all the wrong products for our apartment and I will probably never use Best Buy again because of the experience we had.

    Communication timeline did not work for me.

    I was looking to have security cameras installed. The home review went well and I was sent a proposal. I responded that I wanted to move forward and schedule the install. I made several attempts to contact, however I did not receive a response for over a week. I went to a different vender for my system by that point.

    Unhappy with the overall experience!

    I went into the store to look at Ring Doorbells & Security systems with my son who has one. The guys there in the store told me they could send someone out to my house and tell me if my existing equipment that was through Cox would be compatible with their system. The guy came ask a few questions and then he said he would send out a guy that would be taking a closer look at the equipment that I had that was hard wired. He said it might be a couple of days before the tech would be getting back to me. That was July 4th 2019 that he came & I have not heard a word back from anyone. I have tried to reach a person through calling the store and haven't reached anyone...3 days straight I have been on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone and talk to me...today, I hung up after 7 plus minutes. What does it take for someone to do what they said, A tech was supposed to get back to me?????? I buy most of my major appliances & computer through Best Buy. I hate the way you can't talk to a real person & communicate your problems!

    First disappointment with consultations

    We have relied on in-home consultations about 5 times since 2008, and this was our first disappointment. The advisor was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable, however, a few days later when I wanted to make some changes, I could not reach him. He did not respond to emails or texts or several voicemail messages. He finally answered a phone call, but did not follow up on my requests. After more than a week of this, I visited the Best Buy store and explained the situation to the personnel in the Magnolia department. They stepped in, noticed some equipment recommended by the advisor was not appropriate, and gave me a substitute list of equipment which I approved. It also saved me some money on a few items. Installation, setup and connections were quickly and comprehensively done, and a I am very pleased with the result. Yet the in-house consultation was a huge disappointment. I doubt that I will have that type of experience in the future.

    We had our home computer system updated, and the team did a very nice job, especially the Senior Sales Home System Consultant Anthony and the Geek Squad in-home set-up person Jared.

    Felt good that day then all downhill

    We spent over an hour in the phone with our consultant and felt he understood our thoughts. We sent photos to help and he said he’d get back to us in 24-48 hours. That’s when it all went down hill. 3 days later. Nothing. We text. Nothing. I called back into consultation and they said they could see the rep had a note to call and they’d have somebody get back to me. We called the store consultant was from and were told somebody would call back. We made an appt (Covid) at store and went in to see what happened. Spoke to manager who said he’d have they’re too guy contact is the following Tuesday and he’d take care of us. On Tuesday over a month later the original rep emailed us and the design had items we said we didn’t want. So net net we bought the tv as we were in a time crunch and not sure we will purchase anything else form Best Buy. We had a $15k order and we purchase a lot from BBY but this was ridiculous. Would say to approach with caution

    There's no way I have time/inclination to do the level of research our home expert was able to bring to our search for a new dishwasher. The one he recommended was perfect for us.

    equipments works. Equipment that was sold by salesmen to replace old equipment does have the same numbers of inputs as old unit Installers said we would need to order different piece of equipment if we wanted all the features of the old one after their second trip back. Said they would have salemen contact me to fix havent heard from them. Not exactly the expert experience I was hoping for

    Didn’t find any real value in the consultation. Was told we’d get the best deal possible. I checked at BBY.com and in store and found better deals (on the same products) and even got free echo dots with one of the purchases. I’m sure he meant well, but don’t brag about best deals when it isn’t.

    Tyler stepped in to problem solve poor service we received from another store. He took initiative to find a universal remote that was scarce, and fixed the installation problem.
