No follow up afterwards

I live in an older house, so I knew that would be an issue. He was on time, friendly and knowledgeable, he gave me some recommendations. However, I never got the email about with the appliances. I checked my junk mail and nothing.

Avoid Best Buy home consultation as it’s waste

Took multiple weeks to get an appointment. Took three weeks to get the quote back when I was promised it in two days. Followed up multiple times on the quote And was never actually able to schedule an install so we ended up not using the service at all. I tried calling best buy four times To get status updates, try to get a new consultant Or just complain to get somebody to take action I got stuck on hold for multiple hours net of the four calls. This was the single poorest service experience I’ve ever had.

Incomplete coverage of options

These were explained by the agent doing the installation and I was able to purchase them from him. Consultant not available after the installation to help guide us with glare problem - maybe need to add more consultants.

Just the home theater solution I needed

I had the in-home consultation and the consultant recommended a product (Epson home cinema 3700) that worked great.

Trying to get rid of cable

It is possible that an external antenna can do this but it is expensive and not foolproof. But the service man was very informative, patient, and not pushy.

Best Buy Tech Purgatory

This is the first contact that I have had in months. My TV’s have not been set up. I have had to deal with multiple contractors. I am supposed to have the final set up today but I have not received a call, text or email about arrival time. My equipment order was not provided to me correctly & not placed completely. Working with this “ special service” has been a nightmare!

We are building a home and a consultant made a site appearance. The suggestions are invaluable and we will be incorporating those suggestions in the near future via BestBuy purchases.

the guy disappeared

Tried to connect with him multiple ties after initial consultation but no response. I understand he is no longer with the company. Group follow up was very late. I ended up working with store people to finalize the project. Ended well but quite frustrating as this service sounded great.

No Follow-Up, Waste of Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 guys showed up, each to present a different option for a home theater set-up, including speaker recommendation and price for installation and set-up. One guy provided speaker recommendation with pricing, only to later find out they get commission on certain products so you can truly never know if it's the best product for your situation since they are only going to recommend what they get commission on. The other guy Chris said he would provide information that night or "worse case" the following day. Well absolutely nothing. Tried to reach out, even the other guy said he was reaching out to him. Weeks and weeks and absolutely nothing, no bother to follow-up so the visit was a complete waste of everyone's time. If this is how they operate not sure why they even bother offering this service. No pricing information on set-up, so I am moving on and definitely do not recommend Best Buy in-home services.
