    New house and first experience using BestBuy home consultation. I wanted a smart home to sync with Alexa. The salesman ordered the wrong Yale keyless lock and not enough window sensors for my windows and doors to go with the Ring alarm. Now I have to go back to the store, return, purchase and setup a new install date for the Yale keyless entry. The sensor, I’ll install myself which I’m pretty good at. I ended up having to connect the windows and doors that weren’t completely setup during install day. I’ll save that complaint for the install review. Definitely not a Home Expert.

If it was an In-Home Advisor you met with, they are sales people that are not able to do installation services or troubleshooting. If you had a Geek Squad agent out to your home, they should have been able to complete the service you needed.     Person showed up on time, listened, and seemed to know what she was talking about. She made solid recommendations. Never had a chance to do anything with the ideas. She gave me nothing during the visit and I never received a documented proposal following the visit. She did not follow-up.

    No Consultation Needed

    I purchased a 85” Samsung Frame TV. I asked if they needed to do a home consultation before coming out to install TV. I was told NO it’s just a simple install. WRONG!!! The Samsung Frame has the mounts in each corner and it is impossible to hit studs on both sides. You do need to use a few zip toggles where you cannot hit a stud. Best Buy’s policy is that they cannot mount a TV UNLESS they can screw every mount into a stud. They should never sell a Samsung Frame TV as it is impossible for them to install based on Company Policy!!! I installed the TV MYSELF!!!

    We are having a very frustrating experience installing surround sound in our living room and media room as well as mounting some tvs. The communication has been very poor and so far we have needed 3 different appointments to get the job done. Each time the installation team has come out, they either ran out of time or didn't have the right parts or just flat out said they couldn't do the job. It's an awful feeling to get sold on several products, spend thousands of dollars, then be told that we just bought will not work. We tried contacting our sales rep and it goes straight to voice-mail and haven't heard a response via email either.

    overall disappointing.. made false promises and lack of care after the purchase was made. I am currently still waiting for someone to come back to fix the crooked theater screen

    At first the the in-house consultant was great...big problem is he never got back to us. Did not response to email or follow-up after the visit...so basically, we did not make a purchase after his visit...disappointed to say the least.

      That would be disappointing to me too, and I'm sorry that there had been these troubles with getting ahold of the In-Home Advisor. You should be able to speak to your local store about how to best move forward with the communication issues that you've been having. A manager should be able to address any concerns that you may have.
