    Our consultant didn't know what he was doing

    This was a very bad experience. The consultant quoted us $3000 to $5000 to set up a surround sound with the equipment to go with it. But we already have surround sound and only needed a receiver, a sub woofer and a center speaker. We had sound in our other rooms which we needed hooked up, not some new system installed. Then he sold us the wrong receiver for our system which we had to take back and get a denon receiver which matched our system. Your employees Jared and Christian at the Franklin st best buy helped us sort out what we really needed and your geek squad balanced it and hooked it up properly. We were very impressed with Jared and Christian, but very unimpressed with your in home consultant.

    Purchased smart tv’s for my home. Tiffany recommended models that met my needs of easy to use and ability to use Directtv streaming.

    Consultant was pleasant but confidently incorrect

    We purchased a large (75") TV, a Sonos Beam, 2 Sonos speakers and a Sonos subwoofer, along with a TV mount and related cables based on the consultation. The Geek squad came later for installation and informed us that our TV mount and related cables did not need replacement. We purchased the subwoofer and two, additional speakers specifically because we watch sports and were told by the consultant they would provide surround sound. We were subsequently told by the installer that was incorrect due to our cable provider not generally broadcasting in that manner. The recommended mount, cable, subwoofer and speakers totaled more than $1,000. We returned the mount and cable, kept the additional speakers and subwoofer due to their already being installed prior to receiving the bad news. There were other, lesser concerns that emerged as well.

    Luke helped us to find the home theater and he is very helpful in finding one and helped and responded quickly when we have issue .

    The expert did not call as scheduled. I called the help number on my order form and was passed along to four different “customer service reps”. None of them could tell me why the expert did not call. The expert called an hour and a half later. He said he had been busy. When he did not apologize for not making our scheduled call, I did not want to talk to himto him

    We have an in-home consultant came out to us, on a weekend, to give us valuable advice on our oven needs. Helped us placed the order over the phone, and installation is a breeze too! Would definitely recommend the service!

    Failure to follow through

    I had just purchased a new home and was excited to have the In-Home consultation completed to figure out what tech would be available to improve my home. The technician was polite and nice during the visit. He did express some frustration with the wiring in the home and that it could cause difficulties with installation of some equipment. Nonetheless, he was willing to try to send someone else out to confirm that. After the consultation concluded, I was excited to received the report/suggestions that the tech indicated he would get over to me. I have never received that information. I have even called the store to request the information and remind them that I was waiting on it. Over 2 months later and I still have not received a response. Very disappointing.

    We talked with the consultant in our home and decided what we wanted with a few extras if finances allowed. We were very excited to get moving on our project ! We never heard by phone or email from him again despite the fact I called and left a message on his phone and emailed him. I called the department and told them who I was and my phone number. They promptly disconnected me and I never heard back from them either. We are moving forward with our project this week and are very disappointed it could not have happened on our builders timeline. I have a hard time believing this is how you want good customers treated. We may have to buy somewhere else, but at least know we tried to spend money with your company.

    Stove top cancelled

    We had a consultant come over to help us pick up because we needed a new stove. Not knowing this, he did not measure our space, he recommended 3 stoves that would not work for our kitchen, we would have to cut into our granite countertop costing a lot more money to install, and it was something that we did not want to do. Not to mention there was confusion with ordering a drop down stove etc. We ended up cancelling our purchase

    Late Incomplete I had to install myself not workin

    I asked for a call an hour before the installation - the installers never called me the install window was 8 am - noon - they called me at 11:50 am to tell me they would not be there until 2 PM The installers came at about 1 PM. The said they could not install the Ring Doorbell Pro, that the August lock was wrong for us and they could not get the app to work. The put the ring security system equipment in, but did not finish the app install - they installed two sensors incorrectly - one of the sensors is permanently tripped. No connection to Alexa as promised. I have been trying to get Best Buy out to complete the installation - it has been two weeks... This review is about the install team. Not the in-home adviser. He has been great. He is unable to make the install work - This service had great promise - not achieved

    Had horrible experience with salesperson

    We ordered many items for our home theater setup. I am very disappointed with the delays in installation, they missed a few items and I was told to wait for another month for these missed items. Very disappointed with sales person too. Purchase was over the credit card limit (my wife has BB credit card) and I opened another credit card to share the total purchase and have it financed (24 mo) but looks like the salesperson didn't split/process amount properly in both accounts due to which I have to pay way over the monthly limit. Called BestBuy, and Credit card company.. they ask me to check with salesperson - I have been calling/texting/emailing him but no response... Horrible experience.
