    In case you are thinking of doing an In-Home Consultation; Don't. I wanted to buy a security system for my home, but wasn't sure about what type to get. I set up a date for the Consultation. The Consultant Darius Jackson CALLS ME UP on my cell phone to do the consultation. I'm pretty sure that this is not coming to my home like it is described in the Geek Squad section on the Bestbuy webpage!!! I spent about 30 minutes going over various camera systems before I finally chose one camera, a spare battery pack, and a solar panel. Don't waste your time!!!

    Scheduled in home but only received a phone call

    If I wanted a phone consultation I would have scheduled one. I purposely waited for in home consultations to be available again. I received a confirmation email that the tech would arrive between 10-12pm. The day of the visit, I got a text message from the technician saying when he woukd arrive. Low and behold, at 10am I received a phone call only to find out that the technician wasn’t showing up and the consultation would be on the phone. Total waste of my time. Very poor service and will make sure I share my story with everyone I know.

    The Guys from Best Buy were excellent in recommending equipment and installation for my new condo. They were pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable.

    Installers were great, but the in-house consultant was on the low end of the scale especially when we had to meet in the store to finalize the sale.

    My advisor was very slow to respond at times and I ultimately missed out on some discounts waiting to hear about the oven and cooktop that would fit my space. Oven and cooktop are working out great though

    I recently purchased nearly $10,000 of electronics from Best Buy. It was a horrible experience. I don’t know that I would recommend the store or any service at this point. As far as a consultation, I did not have an in-home consultation. In the store someone talked about my home. Beyond that I could not even get any help setting everything up. No help whatsoever. Even when I tried to call the store I could not get through. I imagine that it would be easier to get through to the Pentagon than Best Buy.

    Thomas was patient and helpful to meet our needs to install new TVs after a lightning strike took out our existing TVs.

    My supposed in home consultation was a phone call not in home. Since it was a not a in home like it was supposed to be the tech could not do what was promised. I had to order some more equipment and then I had to reschedule the follow up appointment. So because the in home consultant was to lazy to come out I am not waiting two months to get the job done. What horrible service and lazy employee from Best Buy

    Sean was amazing to work with in the beginning but as soon as I had a return he started treating us like crap and putting us on the back burner. I had request to put in another order and he kept blowing us off. I had to reach him several times for weeks. Then he directed me to the 1-800 after spending thousands of dollars at Best Buy. In the end he was extremely rude.

    All products were checked after installation to be sure they worked. We were given excellent instructions. The squad cleaned up after themselves.

    I was happy with her knowledge and demeanor. I was excited to know that I would be getting the appropriate equipment for my needs. I received a proposal a few days later and indicated that I wanted to move forward. That was over two weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything from the technician. I’ve emailed her and called her and have received no response. I’m very disappointed with her service. I am ready to buy new equipment but I can’t get anyone to help me.

    The agent who came to my home seemed very competent to assess the selection of an appropriate refrigerator replacement provided every assurance that the delivery and install team would handle the full removal and installation of the refrigerator, including the water line installation. The delivery was scheduled about two weeks later. The delivery team informed me they were supposed to drop off the refrigerator in the garage. I reminded them it was a delivery, removal and install. Once they arrived, they insisted they would 1: (not shut off water line because it was not on the same floor of the house. 2) After I shut it off, they indicated they would not remove the old line from the refrigerator. 3) They then informed me they would leave the refrigerator in the garage, and I could get someone else to handle the rest. I thanked them to take the entire package back to Best Buy because there was a clear failure to meet the original fully specified terms of delivery and installation. It then took two separate contacts by phone and one in person to have the charges removed from my Best Buy account.

    Basement remodel. Best buy came out an helped with a walk through during my basement build. Talked tv, stereo, speakers,how to wire, etc. Gave me a few recommendations on equipment. He said to call him in a few months when I'm farther along in the project an closer to be ready to order equipment an he will send me over a quote an we will go from there. At this point I was very pleased. So I followed up with him further in my project with yexts,calls an an email. Never got an answer never got a quote. I bought all my equipment elsewhere.

    Technical follow up can improve

    We needed sound and tv hooked up on an in home theater installation. When the techs left the tv and sound worked. Four days later we were unable to get both tv screen and tv sound to be on at the same time. After leaving phone messages for the tech on 3 different days and then leaving 2 messages for the tech’s manager, I called the Geek Squad home theater dept and the best they could do was schedule a new in home installation visit for February 10 (3 weeks out). Best Buy is really better than that.

    Salesman was nice, but took several days to send quote and when he did it was incomplete. Has ignored multiple emails since...
