    Useless consultation

    The in home consultation is useless. I was chasing them down for a few months. The recommendations they gave me were for one product/company Best Buy is contracted with. So it really isn’t a non biased view. I gave him things I wanted and that didn’t matter since he only had one product offering. After a demo at the store, he followed up 3 weeks later. This is not worth the time or effort. It could be a great service if they truly were nonbiased. They have a ton of products in the store, not sure why they aren’t helping you find the best solution with all products they sell.

    We had an in home security consultation before purchasing a Ring security system. A doorbell camera, a floodlight camera and two additional cameras were recommended. We purchased based on the recommendation. When the installers came yesterday, we learned that the doorbell camera and floodlight camera combined covered the entire front of our property (all we were looking to cover). We found a place in the back for the additional cameras instead of the hassle of going back to store to return. Shouldn’t consultant know how much each camera will cover?

We certainly want our customers to receive the products that they expect so I can understand why it would be surprising that more area was covered by your chosen cameras than you were expecting. While I cannot speak to why that may have happened, I’m happy to hear that you could work with the installation team to cover a different area of your yard so you could take advantage of your purchase. While I cannot change what has gone before, if you have questions about your consultation and original plan, I would advise contacting your in-home advisor. I’m sorry for any inconvenience that you’re faced but hope you give us another opportunity to better serve you in the future.

    Very poor service from him, won’t respond to messages left to return our calls. Therefore we cannot get questions answered even his phone recording when it answers is giving incorrect info, if he is too busy or doesn’t care to work with us he should give our account to someone who does, couldn’t be more disappointed with him and feel the money we spent which was substantial should have been spent elsewhere

    Shop elsewhere, BestBuy is horrible

    Made two different appointments and each was canceled the day before or day of, respectively. After explaining that I needed someone to come out to help me determine the number and positioning of security cameras, I was told they can not do that legally. The Geeksquad contractor that was supposed to come out, Nick, promised he’d have someone call me to address the situation. It never happened. I called his number and left two messages with no response at all.

    Not satisfied with the service for large purchase

    Needed help with price adjustment as the price dropped multiple times. On sending repeated emails- i received no response.

    poor service claim

    Geek squad sent to reverse refridg doors on new Samsung unit said they could not be reversed and instead reported to dispatcher that they couldn't do the reversal because the screws on the doors were stripped. not true. I confirmed with orig sales people the doors were reversible. And the tech guys never removed a tool to justify a claim the screws were stripped. Now I have to wait to hear from you when new team might be sent to reverse the doors. Don' t send the same two guys!

    The "Home Expert" was far from and expert, and seemed like he knew everything , just didn't listen to what I wanted, and that's all he did . He did not make any recommendations from my questions or suggest any thing different then what I wanted. He spent less then 10 minutes with us to inform us of what we should get as a "Consultant" should , sit and go over my wants and needs for security.. As a TPC customer we were very dissapointed !!!

    It went horrible. First of all the rep didn’t even show up at home for appointment and just called. I proposed what I am looking for but he recommended something else even though I said it won’t. As expected the installer who came home said it won’t work wasting my time and energy. Overall it’s horrible experience with the consultant who is neither customer savvy nor an expert.

    Install still not working correctly.

    Someone from the Best Buy team has been out at least three times and the system is still not working properly. For example, currently the volume on my cable tv works but the picture is grey (i.e. there is no picture). This has been the issue from the beginning and every technician that has come out has recommended a different solution and none of them have worked. I've lost confidence in their ability to fix the issue and am no longer sure how to get the system to work at this point.

It can be extremely frustrating when our technology isn't working the way it should or the way we were told it would.
