Scheduled install on a Saturday morning 11am to 5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The install involved a new modem, Smart Thing, 3 zeros, a couple of light bulbs, and a garage opener. 5 hours, 5 Geek squad members and ONLY 2 light bulbs installed. I made the appointment for January and finally in May I hired an independent contractor to install my smart devices. I played phone tag for months and finally, after going into the store, I received a token 150.00 back. The whole encounter was sad and disappointing.

No show no call
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After reaching out multiple times, never had anyone arrive for the consultation nor was I contacted to be notified that the consultation could not be completed. Very disappointed to not at least receive a courtesy notification or request to reschedule, as I lost half a day of vacation time unnecessarily waiting around.

Posted .In a world where free time seems hard to come by, we always aim to work within the open time frames our customers provide us. Our goal is to always work around your schedule and limit any possible inconvenience. With that in mind, having your In-Home Advisor miss visiting your home at the scheduled time is not a good way to start a business relationship. I do apologize for the delay as this is not the kind of service we aim to provide our customers. Home automation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was disappointed that light switches chosen for home automation did not work as discussed with in-home consultant. was hoping for system that would be able to on schedule but when geek squad came out to help with set-up, they informed me that this brand does not do that. I had already purchased and paid an electrician to install more than a dozen switches. very disappointed with experience. Will likely go with Abt if i do decide future home automation.

I would NEVER recommend Best Buy Ever! No one calls you back. 800 number hangs up on you, promises calls back doesn't happen. Kyle says he will be watching my order but he is not available for 3 weeks, leaves his bosses name he is also on vacation, store manager going to call me back still no calls.

In Home consulting

Instead two People came over, nothing in hand, I had given all the measurements to them. But they then suggested they could measure, they did not offer any suggestions as to which appliances had special rates for buying a set,......nothing! Anyhow I told the there must be a misunderstanding and they left. Useless! Waste of my time!

Waste of time

The Consultant was late to meeting and was trying to sell me equipment before fully understanding my situation and needs. At the end of the call the consultant was going to take some time to send me pricing for the equipment for my space and never followed through.

Great Suggestions - NO follow up

I was given the product information and called the representative 2 days later make the purchase. I had to leave a message but never received a call back. After a couple days of waiting I purchased the product from a competitor. It’s sad they don’t seem to care about the sale!!!

Very Disappointed!!!!

He was not helpful at all. Did not explain anything or teach us how to work the new gadgets or systems. When I asked, he said he only installs and does not have time to teach or train customers. Extremely Unhappy and thinking of having my other home systems done elsewhere. Suresh M

Good installation but horrible follow up.

The sales person however was a nightmare. After about a dozen calls and emails remedy problems without a response I had to physically go to the store to get the sales person to deal with my issues.

they never showed up, and never called,
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very disappointed that they never showed up or left a message to try to reach me I figured because it was 3PM when I received the email that they would be there in 10 mins, and it was Sunday and they wanted to be back at the store by 4 PM they rescheduled me with out even contacting me with this experice I will probley never pay for service again, or regiment it. I have to wait another two weeks after already waiting 2 weeks

No follow up

We told him what we wanted he said we couldn’t do it based on our cable company. He said if you change you could use this one product and he left. We never received a follow up email until we went to the Best Buy store and told them. They had to call the tech and at that point we received the email with recommendations which was nothing that we wanted. It was a waste of our time.

Poor follow up

Consultant stated that she would have a couple recommendations for us in 2 weeks and would send them to us. Two weeks passed didn't hear from her. I had to follow up and try to get a hold of her, but couldn't. My last attempt was an email I sent and also no response. It would have been a great review if she would have followed through with what she had stated she would do.

We never got a quote. Never heard from anyone.

He seemed perfectly fine when he came out to the house to go over what we wanted and see the layout of our project. But then we never heard a thing. I emailed him a week later and he appologized and said I would have my quote the next week. Never heard anything again. I gave it a MONTH! Now we are spending $20,000 with an amazing local company who got me a quote within 4 days.

Bare Minimum Lighting Assessment

She confirmed my suspicion of having to and aid I should send her pictures and she'd follow up with a quote and some information about other products as well. I replied and followed up several times but have not received any response. Very disappointing.

Won’t use this service again.

First off the salesman made me wear a mask in my own house. Secondly I was told that they would go over options in person and we can make the order there. Well I don’t think I even received an email the same day about what options I have. I ended up getting a better fridge for the same price and had it delivered from somewhere else.

What consultation?

For me it was nothing more than a waste of my time. Every thing that was recommended to me failed all on the advice of each Geek Squad member that came to my house. All products were returned and nothing was accomplished.

The consultation is set for Oct 10.

I was afraid that would screw up the consultation, so I checked in the store, and they had no record of the Oct 1 consultation. So I set a new one for the earliest date available, Oct 10. Your systems don't seem to talk to each other. Please don't cancel my Oct 10 consultation.

It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had

He arrived by himself and couldn't do any of the work he was contracted to do. Then the nightmare started couldn't get call back from the in-house consultant. Phone system is terrible and you can't get a hold of any one even when calling the local store number. Geek Squad came to the rescue
