Our in home service person, Evon, was great!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our townhome has a narrow stair and 10 years ago, Sears failed to delievered. Our service person came to our home first to measure our stairs and recommeded the one is going to fit our kitchen and stairs. The first attempt was failed ( delivery guys does not want to move up or down) and they wanted to remove the rail in our stair. So I contacted him again and he came back 2 days later with drill to remove our rail. But our rail is not possible to remove so he took all the pictures and detail email to manager in delivery department about our delivery. At the second delivery, we finally got our new fridegerator in our 2nd floor. Thank you so much for his efforts and will come back to use this store when I need any appliance or something.

Excellent guidance... weak service follow-through

He was responsive and helpful throughout the process. Unfortunately, the Geek Squad canceled my install appointment 3 times (once without any notice) before I lost patience and canceled my order in frustration. When Numair talked me down and I re-instated my order, I lost $300 worth of "new account" credits. Citibank was unwilling to restore those credits for me. I'd give Numair and his guidance 5 stars and the installers 2 stars (they did a good job once they FINALLY showed up after multiple canceled appts).

Give Grace A Raise!!

We made an order and things did not go as planned. Eventually we went into the Torrance location store and met Grace. She helped us out and was so knowledgeable to what we needed it was smooth sailing from there. The installers came on time and completed the job. They were very professional. Thanks to all he Best Buy members that helped us out!

Contacting this representative was not an issue and the her response time was impressive. Her skills proved noteworthy, and with the help of another Geek Squad member, a difficult step in the overall process was resolved. I was pleased dealing with Destinee and would not hesitate to work with her on future projects.

Home Consultation Installation

With the suggestions made by my advisor, I actually made a decision to purchase a higher grade of equipment. When the installers arrived to see what the job required, they were unable to reach one area in my attic. They phone their manager and together came up with options that were presented to me. They followed through returned the equipment and picked up what I choose. The install went smooth, the room looks great and I Totally appreciate my two installers.

Home Theater Install

The installation team was super friendly and took extra time to ensure everything would work from the start, even sticking around to make adjustments after we changed the alignment. I would definitely use the service again.

What a great experience!

Many different options to choose from depending on the sound you prefer, and each piece needs to work together perfectly to get things to work as expected. Going into the process I was clueless, and didn't know the differences between different sound styles or how different style subwoofers effected the overall experience but Eu-John was able to help me understand everything with clarity and patience. I definitely left feeling educated, and confident in my large purchase.

Solving entertainment woes.

The remote of my new 65 inch LG is a joke. Playing a DVD was hit and miss. To fix a mess, a Best Buy salesman recommended the Harmony 665 universal remote by Logitech. I bought it, and after reading the packaged directions ("non directions" is a better term") I arranged for a home visit. The Geek took a long time, but he had to come back for another visit after I bought a 12 foot cable. At last I have one remote that does everything. The individual buttons can be programed. The Harmony remote is not easy to use, The buttons are too small and poorly spaced. I am still learning all it can do. Overall this is a better way to watch TV shows (both live and recorded), listen to music, and watch DVDs.

Surround Sound done right!

The whole process of dialing it in to what we needed was awesome! The whole team is so knowledgeable! From the beginning with sitting with Bertram to working with Sunny to get everything installed and setup. The two young men that came to install it were professional, nice and did their jobs great. Highly recommend everyone from the Thousand Oaks store.

Smart renovation

Given our limited experience with this, our two home visits with our expert were hugely valuable. The first visit was to discuss what we wanted, what our options were, necessary hardwiring (one chance to get it right), and actual product options around security, temperature controls, optimizing wifi, etc. The second visit focused on making sure we were setting up these functions as ideally as possible. We are delighted in how things turned out, and credit our total tech home expert for the success.

Sydney is an amazing person!

I found her at the DeWitt store. She ordered everything for me including haul aways and plumbing, and attaching the gas stove and all of the equipment needed for both. I did have to pay the plumber additional money, which was confusing, thought I had already paid but I have an old house and did not have something that Sydney would not have known because she was not allowed to do the in-home service during Covid. Overall, she made everything easy-peasy, brought me in under budget too. Delivery men worked so hard and were wonderful too. Thank you!!!!!

Ordering Thermador Kitchen Appliances

The order changed a couple of times due to availability and he always was helping me promptly to update the order. When there were issues with the delivery sub company I first reached out to the general BB customer service, which was not helpful at all, but when I called Tariq he was magically solving all the issues. I highly recommend working with Tariq.

Consultation Ruse

Consultant came out and listened to us describe our problem. The consultant never turned our existing equipment on to evaluate our problem. He then began to describe the $2,500 upgrade equipment we needed. The installers came and hooked up the new equipment and verified it turned on. It didn't work properly with our existing equipment and they said we needed new wires and left us with a system that no longer functioned. Further assistance from our consultant was "I'll check into it and get back with you" This never happened. After researching and consultation with MicroCenter, we needed another $1,200 worth of electronics to make our system function properly. In-home consultation is just a convenient way for a sales pitch to push equipment not solutions. Very disappointed.

Excellent Information

He provided a lot of excellent information and recommendations. He answered all of my questions and made sure I had all of the information I needed to make a decision about my home WiFi and services questions (I was interested in both upgrading my router and cutting cable). With all of the information he gave me, I have now successfully put in a new mesh router system, significantly improving the coverage in my home, and have dropped television and phone service from my internet provider in favor of less expensive VoIP and streaming media options. This has made my family more satisfied and is going to save me a lot of money going forward!

We started this journey knowing almost nothing about smart technology. Amber came to our home and met with us on our daily activities. Based on this, she made several recommendations on where to get started. Based on her advice, we've added smart thermostats, smart bulbs, smart plugs and are watching several other items to go on sale. Amber has been very helpful and responsive. She sends us a weekly email on the prices of the items that we're watching. As a result, we learned that the Honeywell Thermostats were on sale. We jumped at that purchase. I highly recommend Amber as a In-Home Consultant.

Great salesman

He didn't try to sell me on the most expensive, he listened to my needs and how I cook and then guaranteed the sale price that would be over by the time the pre installation measurements could be taken. The installation team was great. There may have been several items that would have met my needs but just one salesman who listened and made my purchase his priority.

Outstanding service and attention to detail .

A trip to the store and I met a sales agent named Adam , who assisted me and made the recommendation of Jason . This led to meeting Mikayla , Eppi, Bryan and others who all assisted in helping me with a 85 inch screen. Mikayla brought me a receipt( Paper) which I wanted.. Thoughtful!

The Consultant was on schedule, quickly provided the options for us choose and confirmed the appointment for in-store ordering. The entire process was very seamless and effective.

Tim and a n technician came to look the problem over. They sent Geek Squad over to further examine. It it was decided that it was not the receiver but possibly the sound speakers up in the ceiling.The technician returned and it was decided the volume for the receiver cannot be too high nor can the bass control be on in the receiver and that seemed total care of the initial problem.
