    Purchased a year ago used lightly for a few months in the summer. Kept it in perfect condition and clean and stored in closet for winter. Went to use it this season and it makes a buzzing sound and it just blows air and does not cool. A few days past the one year warranty so Frigidaire could not help. Referred me to a few appliance repair companies who all have hundreds of 1 star ratings. Don’t recommend due to my experience.

    This is not a review of the item. This is a review of Best Buy. I ordered this item online. When it arrived, everything was missing. No remote, no vent hose, no vent hose adapters, no window adapter, not sealing foam, nothing except for the main unit. I asked Best Buy to send the missing items, they refused. I asked Best Buy to take the unit back, they refused. I have wasted over 10 hours speaking with Best Buy either trying to get them to provide the missing items, or to take they unit back. They still refuse to do either.

    Game ending service from Best Buy

    The air conditioner does not cool at the level it should given the BTU size; it replaced a Kenmore of the same power, but it does not do the job as the Kenmore did. Best Buy refused to exchange it for a stronger model, told me I was 2 days beyond the return time of 15 days, although they failed to notify me as specifically requested when it was delivered and it sat on the porch for 4 days over July 4th holiday, and so our actual time was less than 15 days. I’m done with Best Buy - no more appliances or electronics will be bought by our family there.

    This unit does not cool down a room. It is only a 6500 btu. It says 10,000 btu, but that is on a different measuring system. The specs will tell you it is a 6500 btu.

    At first it was working great and cooling down my house. We’ve had it for about a month and it’s declined. It is barely cooling a room I even put up extra curtains to make the room cut off and smaller area and it seemed hotter.if I could return it I would for the amount to pay and not be able to use it really is annoying.
