    This thing is not worth the money had a 5000 btu window unit that out performed this hunk of junk to late to return for a refund money wasted

    This air conditioner has a difficult time cooling as the vent hose gets far to hot to even touch heating up its surroundings. The vent hose heats up the space much faster than the air conditioner can cool. It fights against itself. This is not a good purchase.

Cooling may not occur until the room temperature rises above 60 °F (16 °C). temperature-sensing element touching the cold coil, located behind the air filter. Straighten away from the coil. You may also reset to a lower temperature. compressor shut-off by changing modes. Wait approximately 3 minutes and listen for the compressor to restart when set in cool mode.     Decent Portable AC Unit with a Few Drawbacks

    Overall, the Frigidaire 3–in-1 portable air conditioner works OK. Installation is relatively easy though the unit is heavy and bulky (get help getting it up stairs!). Connect the exhaust hose to a window to vent the hot air outside of the house. Use the Frigidaire app to connect the unit to Wifi for easy controlling. I didn't find the sound of the AC unit too loud when running. There is some noise to be expected as the unit runs. The wifi control is a nice feature I didn't think I would need, but find myself using quite frequently to turn the unit on/off and even set a schedule. There are some downsides to this unit. First, the exhaust hose is not insulated so you are effectively radiating hot air back into the room you are trying to cool. Get an exhaust hose insulation kit to help reduce the heat coming back into the room. Secondly, the window kit for the exhaust is not the best. It doesn't sit in the window well good and the seal is not great at all (even with the included insulation provided). You may save yourself some headache by getting an aftermarket insulated exhaust kit. As for cooling, the unit does put out some cold air. It cooled my smaller room (~350 sf) OK, but in a larger room, I am not sure how this unit would cool the entire room. It is rater for up tp 550 sf room, but that is likely with ideal conditions (windows not facing sun, after market insulated exhaust tube, etc.). In the end, the unit is a nice portable (use that term loosely given the size and weight of the unit).

    Failed in under 2 years

    This thing stopped working in under 2 years. Both fans and the compressor will run, but just outputs room tempersture air. The warranty is only for 1 year and having a technician attempt a repair is almost the same cost as buying a new unit.

    As some of the reviews say. Idk how it could cool down anything bigger than 400sq. Felt like it was consistenly on high to cool down the weather here in Hawaii.

As your air conditioner struggles with restricted airflow, it overworks itself, causing the portable AC to overheat and intermittently shut off. Your AC vents might be too close to the wall, or you may have something blocking the vents. Poor airflow can be caused by a dirty air filter as well. Along with a dirty air filter, the drain hose of your air conditioner can be clogged with accumulated dirt, debris, or even mold, causing condensate to back up into your unit, which then causes water leakage.     I put the old one back in the window. This one never shuts off. Even in automatic the fan still runs. Electric bill went up extra 100.00 didn’t even cool my rooms. My 1000 ac until cooler better than this 1200

    The unit very quickly stops cooling, displaying error code P1 at which point we must drain it. This happens constantly and we resorted to leaving the drain port open and letting the water free drain onto an external tray and towels.

    The Frigidaire Portable Air conditioner is definitely a great and flexible Air Conditioner, letting you move it around from room to room to serve your needs when the temps get hot. The reason why I chose to order this AC was because we just purchased a new home and the layout of the livingroom and diningroom did not allow for window style airconditioners and also the type of windows we have in the other rooms could not take any typical window AC's either. We saw this unit and instantly knew that we needed it. The unit has one hose and a window trim kit that is easy to install and breakdown so you can quickly move your AC around if needed. We really like the easy operation of the top panel. You can set it to different speeds or set to Auto, which is were we left it most of the time. The other great feature which we absolutley needed was the WIFI control. Setting it up took a few minutes and now we can use it to control the temps in our home while we are at work. We needed this feature mainly because our dog is home during the day and this past summer has been brutal. If WIFI is important to you then look no further. The unit cools our living room and dining room pretty well. the space together is about 400 Sq feet but its all open format so the cold air bleeds into the surrounding rooms. Im sure if this was being used in an area with closed doors it would freeze out the space. The unit has wheels on it so when your looking to move it around the house or just put it away for storage it should be no problem. But the unit does weigh about 65 pounds so if you have to lift it be sure to ask someone for help so you don't hurt yourself. As far as the loudness of the unit, I would say its fairly quiet compared to my other units in my bedroom. It is much newer and over time i do feel that Air Conditioners do get louder with age, but as of now its decently quiet. The unit has removable and replaceable filters and had a dehumidify mode which we havent used but it is capable.\ All together for the little time we have had the unit I would say its sleek and stylish and does a good job at cooling our space. Lets face it, when its hot and humid this machine will make you happy.

    Not sure if mines was defective but it bearly cooled my room and the compressor would constantly be off. I got it replaced with an LG and huge difference

    Purchased to cool a garage. Advertised capacity indicates that this unit should be enough to cool and keep cool the garage. Cool air comes out.. but it does a poor job of cooling the garage more than 1-2 degress F. Should've spent more money on a minisplit.

    This ac unit did not work at all , blew hot air and ac motor never fired up. Total waste of time having to pick it up at the store , set up at home, then return to store. Save yourself some time and get a reliable unit instead of this one.

    I’ve had this product for one summer and put it away in the winter. This summer, I bring it out and it stopped blowing cold air. Its Luke warm and I’ve deep cleaned it multiple times.
