Customers consistently note the 3–in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner's excellent cooling performance and ease of installation. Many appreciate its user-friendly features, including the remote control, while some find the unit heavy and the exhaust hose prone to issues. Noise level is another area where opinions diverge, with some users finding it acceptable and others noting it can be quite loud. Overall, the air conditioner receives positive feedback for its cooling capabilities but also draws criticism for certain aspects of its design and functionality.

Summary: Great unit with some issues that may not effect everyone Unboxing: This was one of the easier pieces of equipment I have purchased to unbox. Usually you have to cut the box or flip it upside down. This box had a detachable bottom so once the straps where cut you can just lift the box off the unit. All accessories where tucked in the tubing together. Setup: Once unboxed there is tape to be removed from the unit and setting up the exhaust. Included are two different foam liners to keep the window and the exhaust panel as tight as possible. The two pieces for the exhaust panel extender are held together with screws which is a nice change as previous units have had a locking mechanism that sometimes did not hold up well. App: The phone app was easy enough to set up. There was no code to scan just place the unit in pairing mode and have the app find it. App is fairly simple you are able to turn off and on the unit, set fan speed, change from cool to dry all with a few taps. There is a scheduler in the app which was nice. I had no issue manually turning on and off and changing the temp. The only option that was missing was the swing Functionality: This unit replaced another unit that I had in the same location and it cools the room pretty quickly. The unit isn’t quiet but isn’t overly loud. I could still have a conversation with someone in the same room without yelling. Overall: Great unit but wish it was slightly quieter when running. Also, the included drain tubing was comically short. I didn’t have to use it but for those who do if you don’t have a drain right next to the unit you will have to buy a longer hose from your local home improvement store.

The packaging for the air conditioner was as expected, it was packaged well and no damage to the device. It came with everything you need to set up and run the A/C. It was a bit larger and heavier than I expected, but it is still easy to move and portable. The footprint of the unit reminds me of a medium sized kitchen trash can. The A/C is sleek, with a clean looking interface. There were no pieces to put together besides the hose, the A/C itself was fully intact. All there is to do is attach the hose and foam strips and divider piece in the window and plug it in. It was super easy to assemble and the hose was quite long. The display is bright, clear, labeled, and easy to understand. With Selection icons and lights that show what setting it is currently on. Display shows current temp up down selector power and mode fan speed and filter rest, and options to connect to wifi and utilize an app. The A/C is set up in a room in the back that gets really hot and is hard to cool down. We were able to turn on the A/C, set the temp and pretty much forget it. It runs perfectly and keeps the room at a steady cool temperature. We absolutely love it. The room is no longer hot or stuffy; it stays cold overnight, we are able to actually use blankets to cover up. It works perfectly and we are so happy with it. This summer has been a hot one and this has made a huge difference in being comfortable. It's just as simple as running your in-home A/C unit.

Beat the heat with this Portable AC unit

The Frigidaire 3-in-1 portable air conditioner sure does help keep my family room cool, and I appreciate the mobility of the unit, so if I need to relocate it to another room of my house then I can just roll it there instead of having to carry the unit and install it in a different window like a traditional air conditioner. This Frigidaire AC unit was super simple to link with my Frigidaire app that I use for my other air conditioner, and I can easily change the temperature and fan settings from anywhere that I have an internet connection. This is super convenient and if the family decides to go on a little road trip I can turn the machine off while out and about and then turn it back on before I get home. The unit is quite large but looks premium. What is not premium about this AC unit is the exhaust hose and window adapter, as they're not insulated and they do get quite hot while the unit is running, so you're probably going to need to insulate them yourself or spring for some higher quality third party parts. But overall I'm quite pleased with the performance of this portable air conditioner and would recommend it for anyone that needs a to cool a larger room.

Gave us our sunroom back for the Summer.

A good quality mobile air conditioner and dehumidifier that seems a bit overrated. About the size of a mini fridge, this Frigidaire mobile A/C kit comes with just about everything you need to get set up with cool air right away. The unit itself is a bit hefty, but is well built and has handles and wheels to make it easy to move. It comes with a window kit that should fit the vast majority of windows out there, but in my case, I have it setup in a sunroom with long, vertical windows, so I had to get a universal sliding door kit and fit the pieces together. Setting up the vent properly is critical, because it blows out a lot of hot air and it needs to go somewhere (ideally outside). Besides setting up the vent, the rest of the setup is a breeze; just plug the A/C unit in and you’re good to go. It’s rated to draw about 1,050 watts, so be sure to have it plugged into an outlet that’s not shared with any other high draw appliances (microwave, fridge, TV, heaters, etc..) I like that it filters and ionizes the air while also cooling it. It also works as a dehumidifier, but I haven’t used that function because it requires regularly emptying the water reservoir, and I’d rather not have to maintain it often. In Cool mode though, I can set the target temperature and leave it running 24/7 without any daily maintenance. I have it setup in a 21’x13’ sunroom that’s mostly made up of single pane windows that allow the room to get real hot in the Summer. It’s practically a useless room in the middle of the day where it often reaches over 95 degrees, but adding this mobile A/C unit has given us the room back. It doesn’t get the room as low as the 77 I set it up for, but it made a dramatic difference in making the room comfortable. And this is the only fault I have with this kit. It’s listed to be suitable for a 550 square foot room, but it’s just barely keeping up in this 273 square foot sunroom. However, I’m sure it could do a better job in an interior room with better insulation. One feature I was excited to use, but couldn’t, is the app and Google voice control. Being able to turn it on and set the room temp remotely in advance is like getting a remote start installed in my car. No more walking into a sweltering sunroom. However, I currently have it located in an area with low WiFi signal, so I’ll have to get an extender to try this feature out. At least it comes with a remote. Overall, this is an excellent mobile A/C unit that comes with everything you need to get set up with cool air right away. The supplied window kit should work for most windows, unless you’re using a sliding glass door. The 550sq ft rating seems a bit optimistic to me, but it’s strong enough to give us our sunroom back in the daytime, which is what I was hoping for. Highly recommended. PROS - Relatively easy setup - Includes window kit - Filters and ionizes air - Google and Alexa voice compatible - Also works as a dehumidifier - Automatic temp control - Comes with everything needed to get going. CONS - Window kit not long enough for sliding door - 550sq coverage seems overrated - Wish WiFi antenna had longer range

I live in an about 640 sq ft apartment and this does a great job cooling the whole apartment if its left running all day. I have big windows and get lots of sun so my apartment gets hot easily. It was easy to install and control. It has an auto temperature feature that is perfect. It is a bit nosy, but all ac like these are. The control it camw with did stop working but i never had the use to use it because of the auto temperature feature. It has wheels which makes it easy to move around. All in all no complaints and ive had it for 2 months.

It’s great!!! I have tried so many and didn’t want to pay the price, but it has been well worth it!! Cools down my room in minutes. I have had it for about a month now and the filter light has been on. When I take the filter out, there’s no accumulations. Not sure why, but other than that. I’ve seen reviews say it’s loud, but it’s white noise. I love all the features and settings it has!

This was a very simple things to setup, and install. My plan for getting this, was to add air conditioning to my garage. The size is just right, and fits into the corner of my garage. I've created and built a special plate, so that I can leave just a little bit of the garage open so the heat can get out. This works very well. Controls are simple, and easy to understand. Air blows cold, and strong. Its not too heavy, and moves around easy. If you have an emergency outage, or have a room with weak air blowing. This is a great option to get that room cool. I live in a very hot place, and it's always over 100 degrees with little to no rain. So if my air conditioner goes out for any reason, I now also have a backup unit. Pros: Small size, easy controls, blows cold air, can be used for more than just an air conditioner. Cons: Some might feel it's a little on the high side for price, but that depends on your needs and budget obviously. I'd recommend you do some research, and try comparing this one to others in the same price range.

This is a great unit for a small spaces. It cools efficiently and has multiple settings to meet your needs. My only caution is that the window plate is not easily adjustable to variable window sizes. It’s not an accordion style that you can rotate between windows. It’s a hard plastic plate that has to be sawed down to size. Unless you can do that yourself or hire someone (as I had to do) this unit will be difficult for you to install. Also, there are two different condensation areas that need to be drained. I haven’t figured out how to clean the filter yet but I think you have to unscrew the whole back panel. It’s a great unit but requires some handiwork for sure.

We absolutely love ours! It throws out super Duper cold air. We live in the RGV where the heat index goes up to 120° so it’s an added incentive to our central unit and it feels like we’re in Alaska inside our home. That’s how cold it is, and we love it !!!!

    Very Bad Packaging

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Pretty good unit. Works well. The way they packaged the unit was pitiful. It was very difficult to handle the flimsy box it came in. I was very careful loading it and unloading it from my SUV. I could have easily damaged it. You need at least 2 people to load the thing and you can't lay it down or something will get broken. Driving with it standing up isn't such a good idea. It could fall over during the ride home. I won't buy anything from them again until I see how it's packaged. So my rating only applies to the unit.

    Great Cooling, Lousy Design

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It is a shame that Frigidaire can’t seem to update the design on their stand up air conditioner as it cools well. There are major issues with the design, however. The tubing falls out easily, and I’ve had to duck tape it to get it to stay. I just bought another brand that has the tubing attached to the plastic piece so it just snaps into the machine. Pure genius. They also design it for a very specific window size, which makes no sense. Just include a smaller panel for the window so it can fit various size windows as the other manufacturers do. Wouldn’t take much for this to be an exceptional product, but as of now it for sure isn’t. I’m returning this unit to BB and ordering the other brand from another big box store.

We got this just in time for some heat waves to come to our area. We put this in our master bedroom, which is only about 100sqft. But this gets the temp down to what we set it too. Minimal is 60 degrees. What I love most is being able to set it with my phone. Not only while next to it, but I can also set this on if I am out and about. I also like that it we can set it to rotate between up and down. As well as a couple different modes you can choose from. The vent is pretty long and was easy to install and place in my window that is about 4 feet up. A couple things that I would like to have seen. The plug cord is not the longest. Maybe around 4-5 feet. Would have liked to have seen it a bit longer just for those who may not have a plug right under their window. And it would have been nice to maybe have a slot for the remote that came with it. But those are small things. Overall was easy to install. The app was easy to use with my iPhone, and I was connected and using my iPhone in no time. We had some long record-breaking heat days, and it was always nice to come home and open my bedroom door and feel the cold air come out, and just relax and cool off. Kinda like having a nice cup of Ice water, tea, or lemonade.
