Amazing AC

I got this AC and my home always feels cool. Its really great for one room only, not so much for the entire house. My place is relatively small so its great for me! But I wouldn't recommend if you have a big house.

Only complaint is that the panel that goes in the window is cheap, and the hose does not attach to it well. One night last summer the hose fell out when our central AC was out. This unit had been cooling the kitchen, but the hose falling out caused it to spew hot air all in the kitchen for hours. A window unit is cheaper and more effective, but this is OK for a portable.

Gives off a weird odor, and the hose doesn't stay

It only happens when I turn it on. Also the hose doesn't stay in the window. It doesn't seem to grip onto the connector. My third complaint is it doesn't really cool down the room. I bought this unit with a higher BTU than what I needed and I can't get it to cool down the room very well. I would've much preferred a window unit for half the price, but I thought this would be an easier installation and that is why I purchased it.

Some friendly tips to keep in mind to get the best cooling performance for your home comfort appliance. *Ensure the capacity of the room air conditioner fits your room size for efficient and satisfactory operation. * Try installing the room air conditioner on the shady side of your home/room. A window that faces north is best because it is shaded most of the day. * External house shading with trees, plants or awnings will help reduce the air conditioner’s workload.
Please bear in mind moisture is collected from your room and recirculated to make your room cool. During very high humid days your portable unit may generate excessive moisture which may require a drip tray to be placed by the bottom drain outlet.
